^^^ There are free foreign hosts you can start with. x10hosting is not bad. There are even reputable and secured hosts that are cheap as well (around N800 per month). |

chizzy94: Don't ever let somebody tell you you can't don something, not your poppa, momma, brothers, sisters, friends and even yourself.Sounds like Will Smith In "Pursuit of Happyness" . Inspiring all the same. |
Sir, if you make N72,000 monthly, that should be around N2,400 every day on average. If you make that much everyday, why are you so keen to collect N1,500 from just two or three people who would probably be interested in this garbage. Fyi, when you create a new website, it'll take months for the Google search engine to 'get to know' your site. It is almost impossible for an average Nigerian to make that much in less than six months even if you don't have a life (no work, no school). It was possible in the past, but not now... not with Google's present level of sophistication. |
I can provide help for something specific, not something generic like "how do I make my site like this". |
Samfilo31: bro urs is interestin i really appreciate. am only a novice on wat i dnt knwJust start from somewhere. There's really no specific place to start. All programmers / webmasters didn't start from one specific language, it all depends on what's convenient for you or the kind of website you're trying to build. But if you ask me for a recommendation, I'd say: W3schools.com will come in handy, use it to learn HTML first. You also need somewhere to practice WHILE you're learning (and by practice I mean writing a full page with html from header to footer). It would not be wise to just learn from beginning to end with little or no practice. For example, a road side mechanic will fix a car faster than a student with a degree in mechanical engineering would, that's a fact you know why? because they have been doing it all their lives. Practice makes perfect. So get your self a wapsite from wapka.mobi to start with.In any case, if you need help on anything specific while you're learning, I have a thread on my forum where I answer questions from people trying to build websites => http://jalingo.co/webmasters/building-a-website-i-can-help/ Good luck |
Basics: Learn HTML, CSS and Javascript. Then look up 'web host' and 'domain name' and understand what they are, and what they will do for your website. I recommend you play around in wapka.mobi for a while, it'll help you build your HTML skill. Then you can either learn a programming language OR you can simply install an open source software depending on your needs. You even still need HTML and CSS knowledge to be able to handle and cope with an open source script. It may all sound fiddly, but that about the simplest I can do. Good luck. |
This is 'Webmasters' forum not 'Autos' :/ |
Are you lost bro? Btw, nice name. :/ |
Does this have something to do with the NCC response to BlackBerry data? They may have possibly cranked up the pricing just to level the playing field and make data usage fair to everyone. |

Hi, ![]() There are many ways you can earn extra income from your website. This includes advertising, selling products & services, affiliate marketing and many more. |
Perhaps we should punch the founders of google in the face first. |

sub_nero: Is right i go to their office to inquire?Sure you can. Hopefully, you may be able to pick it up directly from there. |
Hi, That's exactly how long it takes for the Nigerian postal service to deliver a package to the average Nigerian home (it mostly depends on your location though). I remember it took them a little over two months to deliver my first adsense check, after which I opted for Secured (DHL) which delivers in about 5 days. Just be patient, hopefully it'll arrive soon. If you travel before it arrives, you can simply request for someone to send/text you the digits. Good luck. -MrA- |
sCun: Seun moved it to front page himself.Correct. As can be seen from www.nairaland.com/links FP stuff is only posted by Seun and 'Mukina2'. Funny enough, he is also responsible on everything on the front page. Mukina2 is just his alter ego. Every webmaster or forum owner has an alter ego. Those who has never managed a forum will never understand. Have you thought about why the said Mukina2 does not have a personality at all considering 'her' big position here? No link to any profile whatsoever, no photo, no blog, no life, nothing. Also, no admin would alow a stranger to admin his forum. If it was so, seun would be somewhere relaxing while his admins take care of front page stuff, but no it is too risky to do so that's why he does everything himself. I own a forum and I can tell you a lot. Seun IS Mukina2 |

Arcsniper: lol. Uncle u b police??No o. I just thought it sounded 'Fishy' (pun intended) for a real employee of a telecoms firm to be speaking this way. When I saw this thread, I knew he's just an apprentice. ![]() |
Habidab: Now 70% of Sophisticated Users of phones in Nigeria are using Android smartphones(Varieties of Brands from Samsung,Techno,LG,Gionee et al),while 20% are now using BB phones and 10% are using Nokia Smartphones(Lumia and Symbian) proportionally.Among those proportion 50% of them are using back up phones(like phones without browsing wares)...WRONG stats! I own a public forum like this where I put up a poll on current phone type. Almost half of the votes were from Nokia java/symbian, a relatively large sum was from Tecno. The lower class in Nigeria should outweigh the upper and middle classes combined. If I were to estimate stats I would say 20% Nokia Java/symbian, 20% Tecno Cosmos OS + Other small feature phones, 25% Android, 33% BlackBerry, 2% Windows OS. In other words, java+symbian+tecno cosmos which are non smartphones should be abt 40%. |
There's also a thread where he was looking for advice on how to start fish business. LOL. |

luggy: I pick a bus 4rm.owerri to okigwe., on my way to okigwe around anara junction. I balt lacasera amd drink it., da t was in d money, I startecd having rining belle. I layed down in d bus., wen I reach okigwe., d driver now buy drug for me to take. so after 30minute I ve taking d drugs. my belle now peny me. meanwhile since dat time., I stop taking lacaseraMehn... this guy is talented at what he does. egariyi: exactly my thought! Most people consume these liquids on empty stomachs and some even have ulcers without realising it. Others are allergic to one or two ingredients and they dont't care to know. I dont really like the gaseous nature of the drink hence I am not a fan but my son of six years loves the drink. thank you for this advise. You're welcome. Nigerians don't know what they want or what works for them. They live by following the crowd. |
Have you ever seen a Nigerian who has said "I don't take this thing because i am allergic to it"? NO We are suffering from acute mu-muism. Nigerians don't know when they have allergies. They don't care about ingredients, the only thing they know how to ask is "E SWEET?". Even if bomb is used in a product, they would never know until pesin blow for their front. Just because something is bad for you does not mean it is bad for others. Lacasera is acidic, and that is a good thing because we (humans) are also acidic. If you know the ph of the human skin and system then you will understand. Lacasera also contains a lot of co2 gas (this is probably why you shouldn't take it on an empty stomach). If it makes you feel full, it's just the gas pushing down on the contents of your stomach... so if you can fart or belch the gas out, you should feel better. When next you buy a bottle, look through the ingredients to see if you're not comfortable with any of them before you start spreading false rumours. |
You people are weird. |
