While some of your points are valid, I believe that disenfranchising people who are ostensibly uneducated does not portray an egalitarian society and is also undemocratic.

Furthermore, that concept is a form of government known as aristocracy, which has its own set of drawbacks. It has been established that democracy is the best form of government, and one of the cornerstones of democracy is the right of every eligible voter to vote.

I recognize that an uninformed voter's decision affects us all, but I believe that disenfranchising them is not the best solution. Rather, enlightening them should be the best course of action.
