with due respect and honesty,

My sales have be a little slow but progressive.
4 sales per day. More or less. Sometimes 8 to 13 sales.

Thanks for the heads up. I noticed a decline in sales as well. Just about the same stats, you provided. Beginning of February was the bomb, but then sales slowed down considerably towards the end of the month. I hope for better things in March.

Hello Eliok, I am a silent follower. How are your sales so far this month? Have they slowed down or continued to rise?

Anyway na bullet and fire dey fight war not physical gidigbo.

Nah true sha...But what happens when your bullets and projectiles finish, nah hand to hand combat sure pass. That may be the difference between life and death...There is a reason you are taught hand to hand combat in military training...This reminds me of a hand-to-hand combat incident in Sambisa between a brave, well trained Nigerian soldier and a Bokoharam gun man. The Bokoharam fighter shot him and wanted to humiliate him with the butt of his AK 47 riffle...He used the Bokoharam fighter to shield him self from the gunfire of other BH fighters across the river, while stabbing the guts of the poorly trained BH fighter who even had bullets in his AK 47... Of course, the Bokoharam fighter slumped and died for his stupidity...

Absolutely. The other soldier was restraining the MP from helping his colleague.

Lol...You are right. The supposed soldier in mufti displayed poor situational awareness and tactics in his combat display. He even had the guts to turn his back on the first assailant / traffic officer, who took advantage of his poor tactics and training to land him a cranium shifting blow at the back of his head...The impact from that unexpected blow to the back of his head did some good damage that may not be felt now but a few years to come. He had to be saved by his colleagues...When you are fighting in a bunch or group, 360 degree situational awareness is key to your survival...

lol...The soldier in mufti was severely beaten by the more tactical police traffic officer. Poor combat tactics by a supposed soldier. This one wouldn't last a week in Sambisa....

It's a new account actually. I don't intend to go through the verification process. I am expecting the same result though. Will the banning stop me from accessing my funds? I intend opening a new account later on. Is there any tip to avoid the video verification shii on a new account?
Thanks

About withdrawing your funds, I strongly doubt they will allow you do that since your account has been placed on a temporary hold. This action also freezes funds. There is no way you can escape video verification if you open a new account. It is compulsory...Started recently though. The only way to use a foreign account successfully is for a foreign citizen to open and verify his account with his genuine I.D and then pass you the credentials for using the account...Don't bother using fake I.d or documents you could be banned permanently...

I got this on my upwork account:

Hello Helen,

We are reaching out to let you know that we need to have a brief video chat with you to verify your profile. Occasionally, we ask Upwork users to take this step as part of our efforts to ensure our site continues to be a secure place for Freelancers and Clients to connect and collaborate.

The call should take less than ten minutes and we will ask you a few questions about the information in your profile. A temporary hold has been placed on your account wherein you will not be able to submit new proposals or change your profile photo. Your account will be fully resumed upon successful profile verification. Please respond within a week to avoid more serious restrictions.

To complete the required video call, please click on the link below. https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us?action=verify-profile

Please ensure that you are on a desktop device with a camera and microphone. Also, during this process, allow Upwork Help Center use of your camera and microphone so that we can initiate the video verification. You may disable this feature after the chat session. This process works best with the Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox web browsers.

Thanks in advance for helping to keep Upwork a secure place. See our forum post on this topic here: https://community.upwork.com/t5/Announcements/Testing-video-chat-profile-verification/td-p/257712. Should you have any questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Kenneth

Hello Misterdhee1,

Please can you take your time to explain your recent activities on your flagged account? Did you operate a foreign account that required logging in with foreign IP? Did you have any misunderstanding with a client recently? Did you edit any part of your profile recently e.g. profile picture or email address? Did you use a paid static VPN or free VPN with multiple IPs to access your account? If your account is new or you recently opened your account , then this video verification process is normal. From the little I gathered based on your nairaland.com moniker, you are a guy operating a female Upwork account, if this is true, then you can consider your account banned...

oooooh Mr digimon... sorry digitech. I understand that u spent a lot of money without value... guess what?

so have I and a lot of us here... 4gt that crap that anybody that I give money.... bla bla bla... I'll make sure he pays.... not every time broda.

so he serviced ur injector/alternator/radiator with ULTRASONIC bath heck me I want me some ultrasound abi ultrasonic bath he can even service my compressor with it sef I don't mind.

I'm sure u all have learnt valuable lessons from this experience
.... that's more than enough to me.
for u, u have learnt that u need to treat ur car like ur wife cos they both have the ability to kill u; instantly! know ur car very well, read manuals and get technical. before u go to a mechanic, get some or all of the technical details first. else u come in a Porsche cayenne and leave with a horse.
if u took ur wife in for surgery and when u go to pick her u meet someone else won't u know? get that intimate with ur car.... and remember not everyone that wears overall is a technician, some are lazy damn quack mechanics capable of absolutely nothing other than pressing spoil button. test every spirit likewise test every mechanic.... every mechanic that doesn't preach or emphasize on the need for thorough diagnosis before treatment, isn't there in MY name!

cc obitee52 pipedreams

mayor has also learnt to choose his customers wisely, and also to say no to some jobs... I'm sure cos he's damn smart. I'm sure Gazuzz learnt this the hard way.

peace y'all

I'm having an ultrasonic superfluous big dump right about now and I'm gonna get me an ultrasound bath afterwards

Funny response but wise words my brother...It's been a really painful, nasty experience for me...Bitter lessons learnt as well. I hope you have a successful ultrasonic big dump (I wonder what you ate last night) and bath as you purported...lmao

this name u r blurring tho grin

did he come and scan at home?

did he change 02 sensors?

the 12k for the parasitic drain thingie, did it include buying the alternator?

diagnosis on the overheating, did he find out what caused it?

if he bought alternator out of the twelve Kay,kosoro mbe....except omo Ibo will take back the part

also, oga has said it's impossible for him to fix that sorta alternator as guru concerned

so

what gangan are going to do right now?

In response to your questions

Did he come to do scan at home? Yes he did...

Did he change 02 sensors? Yes he did (the one under the vehicle )

The 12k parasitic drain thingy was a payment for his time and does not include purchase of an alternator. He actually billed me 25K because he claimed he spent time diagnosing my car for the parasitic drain. He held my car for 5 days and claimed he dropped other jobs for mine. I beat the price from 25K to 12k with serious argument ooh...

Diagnosing the overheating. He didn't know that the overcharging system he fix was bleeping the guages up. Car never overheated. The cluster guages were misleading as a result of the excess voltages going into them. Instead I paid him money for his incompetence and inefficiency...

Bro, there is nothing I can do but review his services and warn others...

Since u can't collect the money paid to him without any service rendered, at least u can collect back the numerous tips you gave him.

Let us know how much all the tips amounted to, so we can start the #NoTipsForMayor movement

Broh, the tips were provided in good faith as I wasn't forced to provide them. Some even involved paying for drinks for the entire staff...I decided not to track them as I did that out of empathy...

This receipt thing is just somehow. So you spent all this amount to fix or purported fix that car?

I'm more concerned about the overheating thing, and parasitic drain charges.

I'm trying to draw a correlation between a battery drain, and overheating situation.

So, are you saying the other mechanic did fixed the issues with the car, without confirming the car was overheating when you brought it to him?

I think we'd still have to wait for @mayor to respond to all these allegations.

Joseph

Bro! Try to read the opening post and go through the thread as well. Car never overheated in the first place. It was the charging system he fixed that was supplying 16 to 18 volts at idle that was messing up with the guages and electricals. Making us believe that the car was overheating. The Parasitic drain was also coming from the alternator, which I paid him to fix. He removed my faulty after market alarm, thinking it was the culprit behind the parasitic drain (But it wasn't). He kept my car in his workshop for 5 days and claimed he had resolved the issue, only for me to discover subsequently that the drain continued. By that time, he had sent me away from his workshop like a dog (I thank God he did)...No refunds, no apologies for a grace period of 4 months, which I gave to him...

You guys are right. He came through a big client of mine and wanted me to go for inspection with him. I told him that I dont have the time for such. He pleaded and I turned off my phone. Two days later he called asking for sooperrescue. He realised that I was the same guy that was rude to him and knew that I always go for my radio program every tuesday, so he asked for a 30mins inspection before my radio program and we agreed for 20k. I got to VI and spent hours waiting for battery, fuel and even engine oil before I had to scan and told him to go ahead with the purchase. He asked for my acct details and I gave it to him with the trust that he is a man of means and a friend to my client who is a director in a bank. He sent me 10klater in the evening telling me that I did not do much. On the day I drove him away, he told me that He is a retired Airforce officer and that he can do something to my business. I closed his bonnet and told him that the Airforce belongs to Nigeria and not to him, and that even in the next life, he can do nothing. Na so he run comot go tell his friend who now asked me what transpired between us. There are days we meet such people and we thank God for bringing them to us to make us strong.
Op, please buy bobozi come for me. I need to celebrate the boost wey you carry go village. Hope Customs nor misbehave on the road?

Easier said than done. A customer that I once had, bought a Range Rover Sport for 8.8m. I went with him for the inspection and spent 3 hours in V.I for 10k. I was glad to have escaped from him but he bought the car andhe will bring oil and will want me to charge 8k for labour. He will say that is all he has. Ok customer service but when you see how he controls everyone during the service, I begged him to please go to where he can give orders. For this matter, it is difficult to decipher the damages made to the car by previous users. Op, since your car is in order, leave matter and enjoy your ride. Nor be only one man dey raise pikin for Africa. If Mayor did not go through those processes, the right outcome would not have been achieved. Because he did not achieve the final result does not mean that he did nothing. The excessive fuel consumption has stopped and you should also give him that credit. All that you claimed was done by the 17 yr experienced rewire was to go and get the right alternator. Our parts market that is dependent on refurbished parts, is that one a determining factor? Lets close the matter and move on. That was how I was once accused of scamming a guy of 65k in his Hyundai SUV. Since then... I like taking a long walk from such issues.

Bro! You are a man of peace. Nice advise you provided... I never had excessive fuel consumption. Although took it to Mayor for tune up, didn't notice any changes. Not saying that to spite him. That's why I didn't raise this issue in the review. I discovered it was my driving habit that was behind it (Short distance driving). Honmusa improved my fuel Economy with the EGR fix and I also serviced the fuel system recently. The result? I drove from Lagos to Anambra state today (About 450 to 500Km) half tank consumed. Used full AC mostly throughout the Journey. Car performed really well...Nice fuel economy...

Unlike Mayor2013 that was using fingers to diagnose my EGR problems, Honmusa handled it professionally using his vacuum tools and fixed the issue. Broh EGR system requires professional expertise to diagnos and fix the problem or you'll just waste money. Out of frustration working on the EGR system, Mayor said I should change my Charcoal canister. I was like what da Bleep I gave up on him after that... If you want to learn to fix EGR problem, go to Honmusa. I won't say much...
