Free fall started when we abandoned,

There is practically nothing on ground in Nigeria to attract the dollar. Naija brands are sponsoring foreign clubs.
A bottle of Henessy is 110k in Quilox, in V.I. The voice over of ARIK AIR advert was done by an English man.
And we are growing the NAIRA!

Nigeria, being the 5th largest consumer of Japanese products in the world, do not have an Assembly Plant for Toyota.
We do not have assembly plants for Mercedes Benz, Hyundai, Honda, etc.
Despite the fast growth of broadcasting & ICT in Nigeria, we do not have assembly plants for any of the producers of all electronic appliances such as Samsung, Sony, Nokia, HP, Techno, etc.
Major software development contracts are warehoused from offshore.
Corporate Executives & politicians give more preference to foreign trainings, foreign medical services, foreign food items & foreign dresses.
With the growth in aviation, aircraft maintenance are done offshore.
Most fishing companies have been taken over by the Indian.
Chinese n Indians are leading farmers with GMO n biotechnology across d country while Nigerians are busy selling land.
Whom will u blame if foreigners are now the land owners after all you can't eat your cake n have it.

Simple! We need to take maintenance serious as putting up ds structures.......in standard practice cost of construction < operation and maintenance. By economics, O&M is the most job creating of a project in its entire life span compare to what our so called leaders see as job creating Avenue - the project execution. We will wake when we are ready.

[quote author=neyobills post=66776352]This your kain reasoning is why we have millions of Almajiri kids in the north,I have kids I'm responsible for not because I want them to take care of me when I get old but because I want them to be the best they can in life and that's my joy.

Parents should be responsible for their kids unconditionally and not because they want them to be a returns on investment.

Did the baby beg them from heaven to be carried for 9 months or is it the kids fault she passed through labour, its nothing but as a result of their actions or inactions.[/quote

Disregard him he's probably a kid

RadicallyBlunt:
I fully understand you. My mum is worse. Most melchlor women have dat psychic issue. You're even lucky to have siblings and a father figure. I'm d only child of a single mum who's difficult to live with with a terrible countenance and temperament..always nagging. Yet she goes to church than anyone.

Some elders told me they wanted to take me away from her while I was a kid so I won't be affected but taking an only child from such a woman isn't child's play. They left me to grow up with it. Bro it affected me badly. Sincerely I'm blunt bcus I have a broken personality. Too much endurance can break a person. Up till today she doesnt see any wrong in her deeds. Many have suggested a psychology therapy, but to even mention it in her ears is to be her permanent enemy for life. It's a long story bro..a very long one.

Just take one day at a time and pray for an understanding wife cus d girls of these days don't understand anything abt enduring especially for such a mother in-law. Take time to understand her and draw ur line when u become a man on ur own. God help you bro.
This situation is deep...I can feel Op cos there are few of us who can relate to this....hence the 99% comments here. In d days before social media, I had brought up ds issue wt pple but no one really understand. That's because it's very rare to find mothers like that. And the societal myth made it worse, I mean....we have kids in motherless homes, some were picked from trash where their mother dumped them and u know....those ones are still mothers too, who 'suffer' and should be extolled too. Op keep being strong cos that's what mine had brought me and also wisdom. I pray you meet a good woman who will be all that you lack in your mother.

BusinessRe: 16 Reasons Why Many Businesses Fail And How To Avoid Them by MrEdimulo82(m): 10:37am On Mar 10, 2018
Nigeriadondie1:
cry Bros leave this matter. Businesses in Nigeria fail because of the shiithole environment that exist in the shiithole country.
Here are d following reasons businesses fail:

1.Poor infrastructure:
Lack if critical infrastructure has made running business a daily nightmare. For example, how wud d fishseller, patent medicine sellers who needs light to preserve delicate medicines at low temperature or business person who deals on perishable items not experience losses that wud wreck business. Alternatives to power are expensive increasing costs of products, reducing it affordability and eventual sales. Use of generators have negative environmental inpact in terms of air pollution and noise.
Bad roads which increases time for the movement of goods and labour frim a point to another knowing fully well time na money. Vehicles breakdown on bad road which results in costly but avoidable breakdown.
Water they say has no enemy. Many parts in the shiithole Nigeria ve nwver experienced water supply from d govt which is critical to every business.
Therefore, these and many more creates a harsh environment inimical to growth of any business.

2. Multiple taxation
We all know as disorganized as other facets of the Nigerian society is d tax system. If u are shop owner or small business owner you would understand hiw some idiots would come often to forcefully extort money for reasons that leaves u dumbfounded. The mist annoying thing is that the individuals used to collect these taxes are thugs who are not fit to do such apart from using violwnce and intimidation of business owners to reap them off their hard earned sweat. These monies end up in the pockets of these fruadulent tax collectors and the other part remitted to govt is embezzled.

3. Poverty:
When u have a larger percentage of people who are poor and do not have the strong purchasing power then u re bound to have low patronage or at best forced to give out on credit some of which may never be paid cos the means is not there.
Until wealth is evenly spread to all so all can have mobey in their pockets to spend if u like be a Harvard business trained graduate, tou would fail.

My advice to Nigerians, the national aseembly both the senate in particular and the house of assembly are the destroyer of this nation for failing to enact laws to guarantee good governance and effective, transparent tax laws and they are milking this nation by taking billions each year for fraudulent constituency projects which is never executed. Remember 25% of our budget is spent on these bastards. Only we forget easily former CBN Governor Lamido Sanusi proved it when he was summoned by last national assembly. This increases cost of governance whoch should have been channeled into capital projects to develop our infrastructure. The legislature have no business financing projects. Even each of the 36 states all have their state houses of assembly which all constitutes a hugh drain on our budget.
Nigerians wake up, even if all collect PVC to change a new set of leaders nothing would change as long as we do same thing over and over we get same not different result.
U take beer? Or spirit? Anything ?
Bar man, give ds nigga a bottle of cold beer.
Made load of sense, man

Yes bro, I understand the concept of the kiosks around just that they should be able to provide an alternative, imagine someone standing for close to an hour on an empty stomach, some are coming from work and are very hungry, an alternative ought to be put in place for these ones and also make some money for them as well.

Thanks

Nice observations Op, sure system improve on a daily basis, no perfectly working system as there would always be need for improvement, however, your point number 4 is the experience as of now, reason is to manage the neatness and order of the terminal arena, which was abused in the earlier terminal - an improvement, you will say. They provided already stalls for the purpose of the food and drinks vending for 'responsible' operators. This is my opinion tho, I don't work for neither LAMATA or Primero.

Car TalkRe: This Is What Bad Fuel Will Do To Your Car: 7 Effects Of Bad Fuel In Your Car by MrEdimulo82(m): 3:45pm On Feb 04, 2018
Fact.... this just confirmed my recent experience from the last fuel scarcity....I must have fell a victim. Bought fuel from Mobil Onipan, my first time buying there. I experienced the fuel struggled to dispense, while meter was reading. Due to chaotic situation, miscreants dragging nozzle with attendant. The summary of my experience
1. My fuel gauge went crazy. Showing half full for a fill up I bought o.
2. My car drag to accelerate.
3. My gear went bad.struggle to engage or disengage on its own.
4. I noticed the smoke from the exhaust is somehow.
5. Took it to my mechanic, we removed the fuel filter, thick dirt to say the least. The last time I changed the filter was August last year.

I can conclude you made a valid points and I learnt my lesson especially on the choice of gas station for your car. Thanks.

Mine is a 2.5ltr 6 cylinder engine and it goes for 120k. But the seller has agreed to buy my bad engine for 20k, this means, I'll only pay him 100k for the engine.
While, the small engine of 1.8ltr, which is a 4 cylinder engine goes for 100k.
Hi, being following ur convo..interesting. We seems to drive d same Beemer type, E46, v6 with 2.5 lite engine. Transmission is auto, bro.. I love ds car die. My issues currently is to change the engine and the gear. I spoke to my mechanic of abt 3 yrs now is asking for 169k for engine and I made my own findings for the gear for abt 75k. These costs are huge considering my financial status right now but I need to do it as well as I am not enjoying my car as I want to.
