Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed, on Friday, delivered a keynote address at the launch of the ‘Social Safety Nets Africa Report’ by the World Bank, Igbere TV reports.

In her address, the Minister gave some contextual background on the importance of undertaking a continent-wide approach for social safety-nets, saying that “extreme poverty remains a pervasive phenomenon, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa”.

Ahmed mentioned that in wake to the complexity of these issues, governments in these regions have initiated several programs to “halt the spread of poverty”.

The Minister said that the Nigerian government has established several social intervention programmes such as the ERGP, the NSIP to “give life of dignity to all Nigerians especially the poor”.

According to Minister Ahmed, from the preview of the report “a lot of interventions are occurring in Africa” and some trends worth noting are;

(i) that Social registries are currently used in 23 countries and are being developed in 13 countries;

(ii) there is an emphasis on strengthening coordination among programmes and investing in shared systems to reduce the duplication of efforts and cost inefficiencies is evolving;

(iii) there is also a shift towards greater use of cash in social safety nets;

(iv) there is an increasing number of programmes put emphasis on building the productive capacity and resilience of beneficiary households;

(v) there is increased focus on promoting human capital development; and

(vi) a growth in social safety nets in urban settings. Very interesting for us as a people is that the report highlighted the fact that social safety nets are widely used as short term responses to shocks.

The Lagos State Government has embarked on massive road rehabilitation across the state. The unit charged with road maintenance and construction, the Lagos State Public Works Corporation has started work in full force but this time, with a twist. Having studied the ever-busy Lagos, they have decided to work at nights.

A list which was obtained by AutoReportNG shows that they have time-tables for every part of the state.

For Wednesday night, for example, they are working on Ikeja, Apapa, Apapa, Mushin, Eti-Osa etc roads. 14 roads for night rehabilitation work across 11 Local Government areas tonight 17th July 2019

When i was in my final semester in sch, there is one
ND1 pretty endowed lady(big ass) that used to catch my attention , i collected her number and we started talking and she accepted to date me, not up to a week, she came to know my hostel, i also went to visit her to know where she live outside campus, everything was going smoothly ,on my 2nd visitation to her, we smooch ,she is a churchy type (SU) telling me she is a virgin and not ready for premarital sex, been a guy with OT , i expressed my love to her and the reason why she need to open legs for me to boost our love, she lost herself in romance and we had our first sex ,no drop of blood, thou she is tight, on my 2nd visitation to her in the evening, it was already late and she told me to sleep over, we had our 2nd sex , we both enjoyed it and she told me how she has loved me more, on my 3rd visitation to her, i went with my 2 friends, she welcome us ,play and i took her out to buy her provisions, so the following week, i started writing my final semester exam, no time to call her like b4 and to visit her, she sent me messages expressing how much she miss me and needs to see me, shorty after i finished my exam for that day, i & my friend went to visit that my new endowed girlfriend , my friend went back to the hostel leaving me at my girlfriends place, after joking, lots to talks and romance, we had our 3rd sex, i went back to my hostel that evening relaxing outside on a bench, not up to 30min i got home,

I heard, this is the guy, a hot slap hit on my ear and push me down from bench, b4 i know whats happening, many guys has been beating me and stripped me to my boxer, i hold my balls and dick to protect it from getting hit and i was shouting for help cus i dont know those guys beating me ,i dont know what i did, many people gathered to watch , it was some elderly people in that street that came to rescue me from those guys , when one of those guys beating me switch on torch light to look at my face, he happens to be the guy i know and i do give him little change in street( he is a well know thug) . everybody was eager to know what have done to deserve the beating, those guys said it was a church brother to that my endowed girlfriend that raised alarm to them that i raped Bunmi, at this point,i was like which Bunmi, she stare at me and said i raped her, some guys started hitting me again, i was giving opportunity to talk, i showed them messages that Bunmi sent to me that same day expressing her love to me , i showed them proof that have once slept over at her room and this is our 3rd sex, Bunmi couldn't denied it cuz of the text messages i showed as evidence that we were dating, those thugs slapped her, hit and and tore her clothe, they started apologising to me and everybody that came to watch that scene started raising curse on Bunmi for accusing me wrongly, i know you'll want to know her reasons for accusing me of rapping her.

She said she felt bad for opening legs for me within 3 weeks that we meet , i also think she was dating her church member and they haven't had sex prior to the time i asked her out, seems they had issues b4 i met her and that reconcile on my 3rd visitation to her place , maybe she narrated her sex life with me to her church boyfriend , you know ladies always hide under rape to make them looks like they didn't consent to sex, Bunmi and her foolish sympathisers left in shame, police station is Opp her house, they asked her why she didn't went to report to police, as a poor boy i be then, no means to take up the matter legally but
Am still waiting for the best time to revenge.
