Religion / The Question of Submission in the Christian Home (Ephesians 5:21-25) by mrintellectual(m): 2:02pm On Jan 26, 2020
Let's look at the scriptures in context, Ephesians 5:21-25

21 "Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God."

It is instructive that the scriptures say first that we all, whether male or female, as brethren in the Lord should submit to one another.

There will be cases when the husband is not right, the wise wife to be an asset in the home will need to present her case in a polite way. In cases like this, the man will have to agree with her, in the sense of submitting his pride and allowing reason to prevail.

However, if the husband fails to submit to her, probably because he did not understand her, yet, the wife must submit to her husband, not because she is the woman but because he is her husband, her God ordained leader. See verse 24.

22 "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord."

In the home setting, it is expected that wives submit to their own husbands , not because they are women or as a gender thing. She ought to submit as is expected to the GOD-ORDAINED leader in the home which is her own husband , not another's because she is the woman.

The submission here is such as is expected from the led to their leaders. Again, not necessarily because she is the lady.

23 "For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body."

This is how God has ordained the home to be. Nobody is expected to query that.

24 "Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing."

25 "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it."

Just as the husband should love his wife so also should the wife love her husband. The Bible says, love one another as Christ loves us.

I pray God gives us the proper understanding. The scriptures rightly testify that we know in parts. God is the Omniscient One.

Happy Sunday.

I am open to comments, suggestions, and criticism.

Education / Why Will Nigerian Graduates Not Be Unemployable? by mrintellectual(m): 1:59pm On Jan 10, 2020
The picture below portrays the experience of students in one of the public universities in Nigeria. What kind of education will anyone receive from such a institution where the accomodation of students is not given the much needed attention?

And we are in the 21st century!

Politics / Re: Sowore Trending On Twitter Worldwide by mrintellectual(m): 8:46am On Dec 07, 2019
Almost all politicians in Nigeria hate Sowore for telling the truth about their corrupt practices. DSS should not kill him o, or else they may reproduce hundreds of the likes of Sowore.

koolib:
It is very funny how many people feign ignorance of this barbaric act by the DSS. Some are even mocking Sowore accusing him of playing pivotal role in ousting GEJ. Well, GEJ has moved on. It is Sowore today, it could be you tomorrow.

The silence of Afenifere and the Yoruba governors is worrisome. If they should kill this guy, the backlash may not be palatable. Injustice to one is injustice to all
