Education / 2018/19 ADMISSION: Why They Were NOT ADMITTED- Learning from the past. by mrintellectual(m): 4:41am On Jan 12, 2018 |
The 2017 admission year in Nigeria is just been rounded off. 2018 admission year is already on. Many were not admitted last year, many this year also will not be admitted. Don't behave fooli.shly. Find out why. Admission into Nigerian tertiary educational institutions has in recent times become a game of chance, this is because, many students apply, but few are chosen. This year again, many students will fail to secure admission into universities, polytechnics, colleges of education among others. I do not want you to be part of this group of candidates. I want you to smile at the end of the day, that your JAMB registration was not just used to plant flowers at Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB)’s office complexes. If you must be admitted this year therefore, you need to know why many candidates, just like you, who sit for UTME every year fail to secure admission. In the just concluded 2017 admission year, it was gathered that about 1.7 million candidates registered for UTME, jostling for few spaces available for admission in all our tertiary institutions. Commenting on this figure, the National Universities Commission (NUC) stated that, of this figure, only 30% will be admitted. This is due to many factors which many candidates fail to consider, are ignorant of, or altogether ignore at the very beginning of the admitted process. ..................... Business / NIGERIAN BANK Thrown Into Darkness In Broad Daylight (see How) by mrintellectual(m): 10:38pm On Nov 04, 2017 |
At the premises of Skye Bank, Sango Ota, Ogun state, something unusual happened. Find out here http://www.afriparrot.com.ng/2017/11/lights-out-at-skye-bank.html Note: I witnessed it myself though, and will not say it's the bank's fault. The officials actually pleaded with us about the situation. The question is, should Nigeria be fully dependent on generator in this age and time? |

A very good decision. This is the rule of law.
Cleanliness shouldn't be an everyday affair.
Secondly, what does the law say about cleanliness? |

GOD did not create anyone a homosexual. The so called research telling you that some are born homosexual is not true. No scientist was there when God was creating man. MOREOVER, WE DON'T HATE HOMOSEXUALS. WE SIMPLY SHOW GOD'S LOVE TO THEM, WHICH CAN SAVE THEM FROM THEIR SINS. Lennycool: |

Religion / Re: “is It Right For A Christian To Eat The Muslim Ram?” by mrintellectual(m): 10:49am On Sep 12, 2016 |
Whether you eat or not, do all in the name of the Lord. How then do we show love to them, since we know that Love is the greatest commandment? Make them under stand your religious stand. You may also ask them if they will eat pork, if a Christian offers to give them. Let them know that it is not them, or the meat that you hate. But that it is the sacrifice that you are against. Take your stand. Be nice to them as much as you can. When they celebrate anniversaries, naming ceremonies, weddings, identify with them. However, let the Holy Spirit guide you in what food to eat or not to eat. Eating ram or goat is not the sin. However, we are forbidden from eating any food offered to idols,if we know that it has been offered to idols. Peace and Love to you all. |
Religion / Re: “is It Right For A Christian To Eat The Muslim Ram?” by mrintellectual(m): 10:32am On Sep 12, 2016 |
The thing is, eating their sallah whatever means, you are joining them in their sacrifice to their god. And we are not to fellowship with demons. However, if muslims give you food, outside of this, you are free to accept it. Meat does not commend or condemn you before God. Remember that we are governed by different laws. In general, eat from your own pot. Avoid gifts as much as possible. God will supply all your needs. |

HardMirror: We were created by God for His glory, and His alone. Don't think that we were put on earth so we can prove whether we are fit for heaven or hell. If we live for God's glory, then Heaven shall be our portion. About suicide, remember that your life was given to you. Only the giver - God- has the right to take it away. |

Religion / Re: Eid-el-kabir :: Who Was To Be Sacrificed..isaac Or Ishmael? by mrintellectual(m): 9:34am On Sep 12, 2016 |
Correct your post. Neither of them was sacrificed. Back to the question. Judaism says Isaac was to be sacrificed. Christianity also says so. However, Islam, centuries after, comes to deny history. What does it matter? We have the truth handed over to us. If a lie comes to contest the Truth, we know what to believe. 3 Likes |

Health / Re: You Are Not Doctors! Nigerian Man Who Nearly Died From Error Blasts Pharmacists by mrintellectual(m): 10:08pm On Jul 09, 2016 |
Let me educate you guys. What the pharmacist did was not wrong per se. He can advice on the use of an alternative drug. For instance, drug A is a Sulfadoxine and Pyrimetamine combination, but presently, that brand is under check, or not available. But drug B, of similar combination is available. He may advise you to go for drug B. He was so trained. The fault with the health system is that we seldom take people's health history seriously. If the pharmist had known his health history, he would not have made that fatal mistake. So, judging by this, he is wrong. If you are advised contrary to your doctor's prescription, PLEASE, speak to your doctor FIRST, before taking any medication. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! However to those so ignorant of the functions of a pharmacist, I have the following for you, from the website of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia http://www.psa.org.au/about/pharmacy-as-a-career/what-pharmacists-do-and-where-they-work Pharmacy is not just about filling prescriptions. It is about promoting health awareness and contributing to the betterment of the community. Pharmacists may: *.prepare or supervise the dispensing of medicines, ointments and tablets *.advise patients on how their medicines are to be taken or used in the safest and most effective way in the treatment of common ailments *.advise members of the public and other health professionals about medicines (both prescription and over-the-counter medicines), including appropriate selection, dosage and drug interactions, potential side effects and therapeutic effects *.select, give advice on and supply non-prescription medicine, sickroom supplies and other products *.develop legally recognised standards, and advise on government controls and regulations concerning the manufacture and supply of medicines *.work in the research and development of medicines and other health-related products *.be involved in the management of pharmaceutical companies. Community pharmacistsdispense prescriptions, provide advice on drug selection and usage to doctors and other health professionals, primary healthcare advice and support, and educating customers on health promotion, disease prevention and the proper use of medicines.. Consultant pharmacistsare either employed by community pharmacies or hospitals, or are self- employed and contract with community pharmacies to provide medication reviews for residential care or ambulatory care patients and/or other medication-related cognitive services. Hospital pharmacists operate as part of a healthcare team and are involved in monitoring medication usage, counseling patients, providing drug information and advice to healthprofessionals and the community, conducting clinical trials and preparing products for patient use. They usually have a lot of contact with other health professionals and members of the public. Industrial pharmacistsundertake research and the development, manufacture, testing, analysis and marketing of pharmaceutical and medical products..... Moreover, if the alternative drug contains the same combination, then it's actually not the pharmacist's fault, but the doctor's fault. Our pharmacists in Nigeria are doing well as the system permits them. Let's not shout them down, abeg. 11 Likes 2 Shares |
