I did the reset (although I decided to keep files) and after more than an hour of waiting. The problem still persisted....you may be right after all.

Well for me I don't see any big difference between a new laptop and a London used laptop.

Apart from warranty.

It's rare to see London used that comes with follow come battery that lasts 4 hours straight on heavy use. Also most of em are outdated and old.

Yea...coupled with it's an old system. In fact buying London used is a no more for me. Too many issues and a bad battery

You can reinstall the operating system and see, start from the easiest,though I'm suspecting a bad keyboard.

I replaced the initial keyboard with a new one about 4 months ago. But the problem started yesterday....Thanks for the suggestion I'll heed to it and see how it goes

It is not virus.

No I don't think it's keyboard. Even the on screen keyboard doesn't work sometimes and the Ctrl keys keep pressing automatically (as displayed in the on screen keyboard)..the overall OS is not functioning as it should.

Gurus in the house I need help. My windows 10 v1809 is misbehaving. The cursor selects two folders at a time and sometimes I can't even type in my password. The numbers wouldn't type but the letters do type. Also it's generally not so responsive and also the click options are underlined unusually. Should I reset the system or use an anti virus?

I scanned it with windows defender (full and quick scan) but no avail

Only skill and a nice array of projects to show off. I am yet to see a programming job that lays emphasis on degrees. They always put computer science there though but in my experience its never adhered to and there's also nothing like connections. I didn't need to know anyone to get invites interviews unlike in most engineering fields where you have to know someone that knows someone to be able to get employed.

Firstly, insults are welcome. I reside in Europe. Two of my friends they are biological brothers, they've been sucking me. I have been sending them money regularly for years, yes years, but I now realised that these people are not ready to work or learn any skill. Even their own biological brother in abroad reported them to me and doesn't take them serious anymore except their mum. Infarct, i used to send money to their mum too. But they just keep asking me for money everytime. Imagine I just sent you money when you said you are sick, two days after you sent me voice record asking me for money to rent a shop. Then the younger one who's chat bellow asking me for 100k for three of them as if I am picking money on the floor here. To some people in Nigeria who always think all nigerians in diaspora think we always think you're begging for money whenever you say hi just to hear from us, it is not the case. How about this too?

I am really tired. My wife who always agree I should help them have started complaining too. These two friends suddenly changed because I used to send them money even before they ask. It's like every week one problem must happen to them that require money. They will just send account number and the deadline time. They keep coming, coming, coming back again after giving. I have paid hundreds of thousands of naira for visa processing for one of them maybe at least they will stop asking me for money and one will be able to help his brother, but the visa was unsuccessful.

Few days ago one of them ask me to give him my sister's number that he just want to greet her since it's been years he saw her last. Behold, the next day my sister called to ask when did I hear from my friend last and did he mention about financial problem to me, I told my sister that he called me two days ago and asked of her number which I gave him. My sister said he requested for money to support his house rent and she sent him some money. I was shocked. Can you imagine guys? My friend. I am not saying it's a crime for him to ask my sister money but why lie to me that you just want to greet her when you asked me for her number? Whereas I just sent him money too not even up to a week.

See another demand again, see my reply, see his reply.

I know one or the two of them will start gossiping me around that I am proud, but they won't tell them about the good I have done for them, I have been doing. They won't. Some friends are not worth it anymore. I am very upset now that it's affecting me mentally and with my wife. Even my children were asking me last night "dad are you alright, you're not happy".

You know what again, one of them sent messages to my wife asking for mobile phone. I saw it but my wife didn't know that I saw it not until I responded to him myself and told my wife to never bother. My wife later sent the phone to him. Since then he's been using that opportunity to demand from her. Though he eventually stopped it but continue asking me only.

I have sent so much money but they just never stop asking. And I am not the time that take pictures and flaunt them on social media. I live my life on low-key.

I need your honest opinion.

Insults are welcome I promise I won't react to any insult.

I wanted to block them on my social media especially on WhatsApp but I had a rethink so they won't feel like I am proud because I am in abroad.

Let me not bore you with too much talk.

This is the simplest solution to your predicament:

Just learn to say NO and that's it.

I am an undergraduate of a high institution in Owerri, so I've been home due to the closure of schools Nationwide.

There's this girl whose mom owns a drinking bar somewhere around my street, she's an undergraduate too, but she's been home too during this lockdown. I've been seeing this girl for years but started developing feelings for her suddenly.

I approached her as a sharp guy and collected her number. She wasn't using a smart phone then, so we communicate through phone calls.
At first our conversations was smooth and sweet, and it was like a match made in heaven, we haven't gone out for a date due to she always stays in her mom's shop and her mom is a very strict woman. Her dad is late. I told this girl my mind, that I'd like us to date and she agreed.

To cut the story short

After a week she started acting strange, sometimes she wouldn't pick my calls and she won't call back, she got a smart phone and was back on WhatsApp. She replies my text late after seeing them.

On Sunday afternoon I called her and she busied my call, a friend of mine who lives opposite their shop called me on phone telling me the girl was outside their shop and was over the phone with someone for a long time. I called her again and she busied my call again, I texted her on WhatsApp to ask her what her problem was.

After a day, she replied on WhatsApp that she's sorry. Well today she just texted me that she's no longer interested in the relationship that she just wants to be left alone. Note that we haven't even had a time together all this while due to the fact I didn't want to rush things with her and she was always at her mom's shop.

I want to know how someone that likes you before just wakes up and all of a sudden no longer interested in you again without any provocation.

You should have manipulated her into falling in love with you first instead of revealing your intentions. A girl doesn't automatically fall in love with you because you asked her to date you or told her that you love her.

Also are you so blind that you couldn't even understand that she wasn't interested in the relationship anymore? The late replies was enough to help you catch the vibe of rejection.

One advantage of Javascript/Node js is you don't need to learn a new language for the backend, it's js Javascript on the front and back end. Its an excellent choice!

Maybe PHP websites are cheaper and easier to host because PHP is everywhere on the web but Javascript is here to stay, in fact, it's taking over.

PHP == NODEjs
MongoDB == Mysql/MariaDb

Thanks....I also noticed that Nodejs websites are much more faster than php driven sites.

Many people consider jquery obsolete in 2020, in fact, jquery is obsolete.

Vuejs, Reactjs and Angular js are much better option presently. Of all the three, Vuejs is beginner friendly.

WordPress is just another PHP framework, learn php itself. Then you choose to go with popular php frameworks like Laravel, CakePHP, codeigniter...

I strongly recommend Laravel though.


WordPress developers are not considered serious developers.

Wow and someone told me its a waste of time to learn how to build sites from scratch.... Thank God I ignored the advice.

Cos I heard that its much better to learn PHP and mySQL than since its cheaper and easier to host

Please I want to know if it is still possible to graduate with a first class after been in second class upper in 100 level.

100 level first semester, I had 4.04 GPA then in second semester instead of going up, I dropped to 3.53 GPA reason being that I faced some personal challenges, bringing my 100level Cgpa to 3.83

I'm just happy that I never had any carry over in my first and second semester 100level.

Is it still possible to graduate with a first class from 200level to final year, 400level.
This has been bothering me because I really need a first class to source for full scholarship to further my studies abroad.

graduates, did you start getting first class from 100level till final year?

Yea you can...its mathematically possible though difficult since you would need a high GPA in the next few semesters.

BTW...why does Everyone see women as threat to first class?
