Xenry: Another women's case, okay ooo! Well, you should have just let the whole thing end on whatsapp instead of moving forward to Telegram. I don't know about your female friend, but just let her be and care less about the whole situation. She has no right to be angry with you bro since you no dey fvck am— so relax. Focus on yourself and try to learn some skills in your free time, because school is not by done and dusted, job no dey ooo, so learn skills wey go save/help your áss after school. I don talk my own ooo. Umm, and about the other girl, abeg no bother talking to her about the whole issue when you see her offline. And if she comes up with the issue, just act as if you were offended, then sooner or later, both the girl and her friend go feel guilt and apologize. But still, learn some skills. The girl is in a different department. I don't know her in person though. |

Romance › Re: Whatsapp Mistakes Guys Make When Chatting With A Lady They Want To Date by MrJavaS: 6:49pm On Mar 23, 2021 |
Guys hear my matter.
I was very close to a course mate of mine since 100 level (we are now in 400 level). I used to be interested in her romantically but she wasn't reciprocating so I gave up. She said herself that she considers me as just a friend. Then one day she posted the picture of her friend (in a different department). I saw the picture and said the girl is beautiful. She then said that if I like the girl she can give me her contact.
I said it's a bit inappropriate but she still gave me the contact (but said I shouldn't mention her name). I went ahead to chat the girl up but she ended up blocking me on WhatsApp.
I went ahead and further tried to convince the girl that I'm not a threat to her on telegram. That I'm a close acquaintance of a friend of hers. She went on ranting that her friend shouldn't have given me her contact without her consent. I told her to please not be angry with her friend.
Later I explained all that happened to my coursemate (who gave me her contact) and since that time she has been cold towards me. I told her I'm very sorry for my actions but she insisted it's time we part ways.
What should I do? |

Just ensure you do not lose the minimum points that one must not lose to graduate with a first class. Mathematically it can be calculated if you can grab a copy of your departmental brochure |

bovage: You have to remove the write protection on the USB drive. You can use diskpart which is a built in windows utilities to remove it.
Diskpart can be accessed from CMD
Note: write protection can only be removed using the system that write protected the USB drive. I'm not sure I can access the system that was used for the write protection |

stanliwise: yes they do a lot of damn. Most times you work with other devs and you also work on an already existing software.
Most company software were built using PHP and MySQL and paying PHP and MySQL dev is a little cheaper compare to node since you find them a lot. Also due to the age of PHP and MySQL your coders are likely to find solution to challenging problems unlike Node and other languages You are right though. It wouldn't hurt to have both skill sets. I have learnt both front end and backend. I started with HTML, CSS (with sass), vanilla JS node.js with the express framework with MongoDB. So I guess learning Shopify and the rest wouldn't be a problem |

stanliwise: I understand you clearly but if you advise just coding frontend for Wordpress then it is just similar to the advise I was giving. The truth is that plugin and theme development are quite technical especially for young dev to wrap around at the beginning. Maybe it was different for you, but I don’t see it any easier than coding from scratch plain html, css, Vue or React frontend applications.
For plugin development, you need some technical knowledge to build one. I know this for sure because I do plugin development.
In conclusion I think CMS isn’t a place fit for young dev in the long run. I think plain vanilla codes and doing things from scratch is the best fit for anyone who looks forward to a great development career.
As for PHP vs NodeJS. PHP has the far job opportunities, like it is too wide of a gap, and it was same reason it I have never moved to Node since I see no reason to it, meanwhile if you wanna earn with node, you need patience to learn things deeply, else no one will pay you. But do employers really give a damn about what stack you use.? I mean what you can code with PHP and SQL database can equally be done with Node.js's express framework and MongoDB databases |

Nairaland General › Re: What Lessons Have You Learnt In 2020? by MrJavaS: 12:31pm On Dec 29, 2020 |
Kalatium: If there is a year people won't forget it is definitely be this year. Many things happened from the pandemic to protest. And Finally the hear is coming to an end.
Here are top lessons i was able to learn in 2020.
1. Life is unpredictable. You don't know what will befall you for the future is not within our locus of control . Anything can happen in life. I was suppose to graduate this year but the pandemic scattered everything.
2. Every disappointment is an opportunity to someone. While we were in the midst of Covid19 and alot lost their jobs, some people made more money than any other year.
2. Never trust people words but actions. People give empty promises. It doesn't matter even if they swear it is gibberish.
4. People are selfish. No one can truly love you except yourself. Anyone can betray you at anytime.
5. Those in authority almost always think they are above the law.
6. Never try to fight those who are more powerful than you or else they crush you. Never out shine your master as Robert Greene will put it.
7. Nothing spread faster than fear. People who are insecure will spread lies to make others fear.
8. We do everything in life to make us forget death. We keep ourselves busy with work, sports, movies etc for boredom reminds us of loneliness and death. This month of December was very scary for many people died and it made me think deeply about life.
9. Be careful with flaunting your wealth. People are envious of successful people. The more you showcase yourself the more some people resent you.
10. Blame shifting. People like to shift blame on others. Most people do not want to be blamed, so they their subordinates, the government , their spouse, family etc. Law 46, the 48 laws of power |
