RealLordZeus: I would advise you stick with the broiler for slaughter programme, identify why you have such high mortality and fix it, then raise your production Thanks for the advice. Already identified and rectified it though. Raising birds for December is the only reason I’m keeping them longer than 6-7 weeks. |
Agriculture › My Journey Into Livestock Production by Mrkellz(op): 4:38pm On Oct 19, 2025 |
Hello Nairalanders I just had my first experience in broiler farming with a friend. It was far from rosey but I have learnt what I need to. Had about 10% mortality from 204 birds. We’re currently dealing with the frozen chicken market. It’s been crazy.
I’m currently brooding a set for Christmas. I bought a carton of ZARTECH broilers along with hitchner and cocci antivirus. It cost N103,600.
The chicks are 3 days old, started off with ultimate starter. I’ve bought 440kg of ingredients. Whats left is mixing. I’m not sure of the quantity required for each stage of growth. Will probably have to mix some more.
I’ll add another carton soon and see how it goes. Maybe half ZARTECH and half Vertex. |

anonimi: You should be ashamed for your own ignorance. Pencil production statement was not made by the works minister. Nigerian produces things more complex than pencils. That is a fact. The minister's propaganda should be seen for what it is, so we can focus on more important economic issues. Ignorance but Nigeria produces? I laugh in Swahili… CMD of nestle. Name the complex things, it’s simple. Just do it. Have they started producing it? Where are the jobs? Since you’re the smartest person here, tell us? |

I am surprised that you are asking this question. Nestle is a foreign company. All those soft drinks and beer are from Coca Cola and Pepsi except Hero and those from Nigerian Breweries and I yet they’re all leaving the market slowly. Where is Star today? Innoson assembles, not produces. We extract petroleum, yet we don’t even produce petroleum products. Name your Nigerian companies that produce. Sha the pencil and toothpick statements were made by minister of works during Bubu’s time. I don’t see how you’re not ashamed for ur country. |

Celebrities › Re: Patoranking Builds A Stadium For His Community (video) by Mrkellz: 5:38pm On Aug 18, 2024 |
YoungLionken: Stadium? Sometimes, people do things that make it very hard to really appreciate them..
1) Having built a stadium, what about maintenance in the long run?? 2) For the young talents that will make use of that place, is there any provision/sponsorship for them or it is just a place where they would have their hopes up, only to be disappointed eventually?? 3) Why didn't he bring this development to his community of origin or people don't live there?? 4) Insensitivity; train and develop people through skill acquisition and not building a stadium for young stars, whose sports dreams are not certain due to the corrupt system of "pay to play"..
There's more but I stop here... 1. Are you in his brain, that you know his plans for the future? Stop being negative. 2. Where will the talent train? Your backyard? How will head coaches meet the talent if they’re not in a common place? 3. What did they do for him? Lagosians made him who he is. Stop playing jor. 4. Have you asked him his plan? Have you been there? Did they charge you for anything ? You’re just hating and envious. Go and hustle and build your own thing for your community. If you choose to build a school, it’s not bad, but do your own before you criticize. |

Nobody is talking about Ogun state not paying back what they knew they should’ve paid back. They should have at least done their research about the company but they were blinded by money. There’s also the fact that they tortured a foreign national who is obviously a CCP member. Not to talk of our national debt…we think Chinese Dey play? You don’t mess with these guys. |

okoroemeka: is it not time for our leaders to ask themselves this soul searching question, why is it that what works in other countries don't work in Nigeria? Egypt is currently building the El dabaa power plant that when finished in 2030 will have 4 turbines that will generate 1,2 gigawatts of power or 4,8 GW total, despite the current production capacity of 55,000 megawatts, our so called leaders are not ashamed to project 6000 megawatts for a country of 200 million souls,I will be embarrassed to come out publicly to say such thing,so long as merit, competence and ability are sacrificed on the altars of mediocrity Nigeria will forever remain a bumbling laughing stock in the league of nations Same country that beat their chest that they'll start producing pencils in before 2020 like it’s some feat. Still haven’t started production though 🤣😂🤣 |

okoroemeka: There is no point in what he said, the political system, the federal government and state governments are not the problem, the major problem is the northern parents that see no value in sending their children to school or learning a trade or artisan work, the abandonment of vulnerable children to fend for themselves on the cold wicked streets is a crime against humanity, without parental guidance and lack of values and morals it is just a matter of time before this kids will explode in anger Please preach….The northern states are the only demographic actually benefiting from government programs and yet they’re the most illiterate and unserious set of people in Nigeria. |

okoroemeka: It is funny how you guys are all claiming Lagos as if it is your state, why are you also running away from your state and not claiming it. Lagos is a former capital and the business hub in Nigeria,no sensible business person will leave such huge market and potential on the whims and emotions of a few disgruntled elements that think they can inherit the properties of igbos if they live,we must be one Nigeria whether you like it or not,, Well said…I can’t understand why people are so lazy and divisive. If everyone was to remain in their state, Nigeria would not be a country would it? Everyone would have their own. Nigerians love to fold their hands while others work then get angry when the hard worker succeeds. Very idiotic mentality. |

MohammadSAW: We generally don't want kafiris occupying the highest seat of power in Nigeria. Peter Obi is a kafiri and Tinubu been a Yoruba Muslim,we don't rate Yoruba Muslims as genuine Muslims. He's also a lesser kafiri that's why we all wanted the unifier,Atiku.
We only voted for Tinubu because of the Islamization of Nigeria agenda aside that, he's also useless to us. You’re the real problem in Nigeria. I hope you’re enjoying the Islamization while your prices shoot up. Nonsense!!! Instead of people to hire a younger more qualified candidate, the first thing you hear is tribe or religion. Nigeria is already a failed state because you’d rather suffer under a tyrant than give other people a chance. And we wonder why God left man to rule himself. The stupidity of man knows no bounds. |
