omibia: After all said and done, some of us still manage to save close to $800 per month even while receiving $10/hr (your so called minimum wage). I wonder if some of you who claim to be living good over there can afford to save that at the end of the month. Anyway, continue leaving in 9ja because we ain't complaning here.
Lol, naija guys wey dey america no dey complain, cos dem be naija, they work, they save. Weldone bro. Me go join u very very soon.

Baybe: They use the taxes gotten from rich men to take care of the poor.

That's why I envy them other than that, the cost of living over there is ridiculously high
I prefer to live in a place I can hustle 2 jobs, work overtime and still enjoy good food and social amenities. I CARELESS if the standard of living is high. Is the standard of living in Nigeria not high? Yet you pay tax and the jagabans share your tax amongst themselves and you say e go better. Sorry o!

9jadelta: but u can ask or government to give u all that right? if American citizens run away to another country that have electricity and good roads when their country was still bad, who would have built the country that u want to run to today?
The politicians are there to build the country, join them while I live my life in yankee, shebi na my life, at least I serve naija for one year NYSC

ajalaolanr: There's tax returns for every American by dec of every year, this also includes money paid to the children under 18, yes they pay a lot of tax but, they see the impact of their taxes, food is so cheap, you can feed a whole house less than 100 dollars a month and this is having good food...I can go on..
You're damn right, wake up check ur mail, and voila your govt gave you a certain percent of all the tax u paid.... Can it EVER EVER happen in naijahuh Huh, I beg your pardon

adconline: Ignorant Mofos talking as if 18k is going to feed someone in a month and pay rent. It's blind patriotism that has destroyed Naija. A country like Venezuela with similar oil status pays over 62K in a month. Now, senators who earn more the US president want remove wage law from federal law; leaving governors to determine how much to pay workers.
Can we pay like Venezuela, Quatar, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Iraq?
Na ur talk I feel since, BLIND PATRIOTISM, like e go better, proudly 9ja, mtchew... I have a friend in Qatar, He has been there within a year and already comfortable with a good job, he wasn't a graduate when he left here and yet he got a job a graduate find so hard to get here. He changed jobs easily, now he is a safety engineer that gat trained on the job with good pay.
People will be happy to pay tax when govt can give them social amenities: JOBS, quality education, water, steady power supply... E go better!

Idi Amin: I guess Op is not in the US. House rent in Los Angeles is $1200 per month as against maybe 300k per year in Naija. America is good if you have a dependable wife which 99% of Nigerians here don't have. Also one can have two jobs anyway unlike in Naija where one works for 8hours and waste the other 16hrs drinking beer. One can as well develop himself educationally because of school financial aids by govt. Generally, America is good if you plan your stay very well.
You mean house rent that comes in ready to use bed, fridge, home phone, air condition, washing machine, WATER, heater and nice stuffs, well painted..... If you are hardworking in USA, you will get an apartment for yourself or pair up with good and understanding people. Guy AMERICA beat naija flat...

larger_20: I live in California and trust me when i say you don't want to live for 10/hr here.......California is just too expensive.....to live in a comfortable apartment here, you need to pay about 1200/month and that does not include heat/gas/electricity. California car insurance and fuel is one of the highest in the country. It cost about $4.2 per gallon to fill up your gas tank here, now compare that with Nigeria...

California rich vs poor income gap is too wide but mostly because majority of the poor Californians has defaulted to government support..
Come back to naija nah, why complaining?

Arsenate: If you are honest with yourself, you would know that one can live on 500naira (about 3 dollars) per day (15000 naira per month) in almost all Nigerian towns. I strongly doubt if one can survive with 3 dollars per day in the most American cities.
Not that I'm saying we can't do better but your thread reeks of insincerity.
Even if you eat mama put everyday it won't reach you anywhere, remember you need fuel for your generator, you need to take cab/danfo somewhere, you need recharge card and many other stuff, abi woman wey dey buy pads or a guy wey wan barb him hair. #500 no reach anywhere bro.

Baybe: How can you compare Nigeria with USA? undecidedundecided

After paying taxes, you'd be left with nothing.
Lies, they would still be able to afford GOOD food on their table, GOOD roads, GOOD transportation services, GOOD health services, steady power supply. Why is there less poverty over there, cos everyone can manage him/herself. They get paid every 2 weeks too and on time. In naija your salary don finish while transporting yourself from home to work and vice versa..... In naija you can easily recognise a poor man, in America the gap isn't that wide.... America is FAR FAR better than Nigeria. Let's call a spade a spade.

taiocol: $2000 is aChicken change, that money cant feed me 4 3hrs.
What kind of food do you eat, even Dangote wouldn't talk like that. Maybe he wated to say 2,000 naira.

RomanceRe: 10 Funny Signs You're An Introvert by MrMann1(m): 8:20am On Sep 02, 2013
femi9naija: I'm 100% guilty of these 10 points. I think upbringing can be part of d cause of being introverted. I'm 1 of those "get back inside & start reading ur books". I kinda got used to it. 1 funny thing is 80% of my friends through university were extroverts. They tried changing me but were not successful. They used to say in terms of friendship, I'm their best, but long as distance seperates us; 'poof' I don 4get them. When ppl get used to me, they go like "I never knw u can talk". I used to think I wasn't normal, infact, I thought about seeing a psychologist. I once dated a chic who wasn't comfortable wid my nature, I had to let her go cos if she truly loves me, then she should love the nature too; may be try to help me strike a balance btw d 2 -troverts. The most painful thing about being introverted is that ppl see u as snobbish, arrogant & proud. Mainly cos of that, I've been pushing myself real hard to balance d 2 parts.
Seeing the comments from introverts alike on this post who r proud about themselves, I'm motivated that I'm NORMAL.
** I had to proof read this post to be doubly sure I'm making sense.
Introversion is a gift Jare.
Bro. you're cool the way you are, enjoy it mehn. let people think whatever they wanna think, I also think the way you pointed out too. Its a cool nature, truly upbringing might be the part of it. Truly people tend to feel I'm proud and snobbish, my babe use to think same, until she really knew me and careless about it. There must be introverts to complement extroverts. Gbam

I'm an introvert, I'm not shy about it, yet I like being a one man soldier, for me to see life, read, think and meditate. I love my friends and love to hang out with them. Yes most of my friends made me, but na me woo my girl. Nice post @OP.

maracoolng: Thank u man. He was criticizing xpset but he can't arrange a simple combo. I have been watching following his picks where he lost a simple combo and keep quiet without mentioning he lost.

In d issue of xpset, he will select picks tell u precisely what to do. Not selecting 1million games and tell u to choose, that's madness and unprofessional,

I am not defending d guy but stop criticizing
and face your job simple
I agree with your statement, besides anyone can pack good/value picks as he does, but few people really cook up a sweet combo.... Not criticizing o, cos u b my oga. Arrange 'em well, like Michky's pick above was well arranged/labelled.
