Ok. No implication if you prove it is from your sponsor(s). You best option is for him to transfer the remaining amount to you. If you think VO will notice his balance is too low after that, they will notice that without it too. Perhaps you should use 2 related sponsors. One for tuition and the other for living expenses.

Sincerely of a truth.. I am not cool with using just parents as home tie.

Though some app were approved with just parents as home tie. Alot where refused as well.

At best do all you can to have not just parents as hom tie.. Home tie and Finance are two most important aspects in my own opinion.

My opinion.

School fees paid from your uncle's account right? if yes, Can he support your application further by transferring the balance of your tuition and upkeep into your bank account? If yes, let him do a bank-to-bank transfer of the funds into your account. He should then state in his letter of financial support that he made the school fee deposit and living expenses balance transfer as evidence of his commitment and willingness to do more if neccessary.

For family tie, let any of your parents, who is related to your uncle, write a letter of support for you which will state that your uncle is your sponsor, their relationship, and evidence of their relationship as among documents you will submit.

For your info and for best result, you may have to draft the necessary letters yourself and get them to read and sign it. You can add their contact details into the letter for verification. Good luck

You said it all bro... You were detailed in your analysis.

Pls get a letter from ur bank after he makes the payment..proof of fund export.

Are you currently employed by him? If No he can enlist you in his company as a trainee with a letter of introduction and study leave with pay letter.. even if you just started working for a month or a week.

Let your leave letter state from a week to resumption of ur program and stops a week after the end of your program stating the exact date you are to resume duty in his company.

You can go a lil extra mile by generating and filling out his companies bond letter.

So we tight every every...am already seeing the approval if you do all the things suggested here...

on what grounds do you make this assumption?

1. He has a job
2. Paid his fees
3. Going for a related course to his bachelors
4.His father is sponsoring not a third party with relatively good amount of fund in SOA
5. He has a letter saying he is to return and take over family business where is is employed

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

SAY NO TO TRV DENIALS...

I am pained, angered and frustrated each time i see a denied/delayed trv here on this thread. Not just because of the denial but the psychological effect of it and the bad record of being denied a visa.

Alot of people abandon there dreams after this denials.

No one here deserves trv denial at all especially for the wealth of experience acquired here on this thread.

This has to stop!

Most people here on this thread are more Knowledgeable than those agents who collects hundreds of thousands from applicants yet they themselves have never been granted any visa of sort and still end up putting applicants in unforseen mess.

This has to stop!

Alot of us here only here about people's trv app only when they have issues or have been denied/delayed. THIS IS WRONG

This has to stop!

MY SUGGESTIONS....
No one is being charged a fee here..why not we optimally utilise this opportunity and get our appovals?

Give us your trv app here on this thread 1 week before final submission let us make adjustments, recommendations and review before final submission. (Not just your SOP)

Let us be the v.o before the actual VO gets to see this apps.

Most trv apps are denied because of simple mistakes which if reviewed could have been avoided.

I am one person that loves seeing the end before i even commence the journey hence i would love to confirm my approval even before final submission of my applications.

I still insist that Canada trv app is one of the easiest there is our there!

In SUMMARY,
*Apply on time
**Give us a week to review and make recommendations
***Avoid agents or you participate 100% getting consent to every thing they write on your behalf.
*****Finally pray as if it all depends on prayer.

No more trv denials.

Enough is Enough.

SAY NO TO TRV DENIALS.

My name is MR. M and I just want to make common sense...

My home tie is my place of work, my dad is my employer, we stated in my SOP & letter of sponsorship that I was coming back home to take over the firm after my studies.

This one tire me..
Wanted to insist on study leave with bond with an assumption that "what if the VO didn't read the SOP"

But then i saw the sponsorship aspect which u said stated that.

I think this becomes a case of individual difference. Another VO would have comfortably approved your app.

Apply Again...

Thank u for reaponding.

I also applied to Uni of saskatoon and i am waiting for their reply. I have gone thru most of d supervisors cv and sent dem emails. Some respond dat dey dont have space ans some dont respond at all. I have bin on dis process for almost a year now cry

Do you have funds or you want scholarship?
If you have funding...i mean you have sponsor.

If YES, State it categorically that you have funding hence only seek for a supervisor to work with his team.

Scholarships don't come easy.

However there are schools that don't need you to contact a supervisor before applying.

Google up!
Mail the admissions unit..they must respond follow there response.

If you are serious with this..from the moment you read this start sending 5 or 10 mails per day for till u find schools that doesnt need you to contact a supervisor before you apply.

I wont recommend paying for a room when you are not there in Canada yet. What if you don't get a TRV? You just loose your money for no reason. Paying your tuition and opening a bank account in Canada and transferring money there is enough for a slam dunk that you will need.

Yea..That's why i said University hostel. Its jst a small deposit to keep a room you ar not until u arrive Canada inspect and like tge room before you pay. It shouldn't be more than CAD100.

All school do it. If only you ask. U.K is £100 deposit. You choose your hostel n room online and its reserved till u arrive.

Though can be improved.

1. I guess you are a lawyer by Undergrad.
Having a job back home isn't enough...Don't jst leave it at that as home tie...rather prove that you would return to ur job after school but how?? Study leave letter (If possible with bond)
2. I would still suggest you pay tuition
3. Have your living expenses in ur account with a letter of fund export.

Tho there's someone on this thread who got approved when his app isn't this tight. Yet don't take things for granted cos others got approval. Be very detailed in every aspect of your app.

I got a refusal mail on August 1st. Reason given was purpose of visit.

I have my 1st and 2nd degrees in Electrical Engineering and was going for MSc in sustainable environmental management. I have been working in line with sustainable development of environmental resources for about 3 yrs so was surprised that I was denied based on purpose.

Well I've moved on anyway as it's their loss not mine. I'll advise future trv applicants to make sure their intended program is in line with their previous programs as IRCC isn't cool with applicants from Nigeria switching fields anymore.

Hello...
Pls can you share your application profile so we can further learn.

However, if you still want to proceed with pursuant of your Canadian dreams i would rather suggest you defer your admission.

Then get another admission which you believe is in line with your previous studies..get your trv and switch to your desired program on arriving Canada.

Moreso, I don't think its just about purpose of visit. Kindly share your profile and GCMS note.

Hello sir, I have seen a delayed trv even on Full tuition payment and full rent as well. CIC only approves trv if everything is equal, ie. the applicant meets eligibility. Payment of rent doesnt count. Don't pay rent thinking it'll be of advantage to ur application. Even school fees payment is not required traditionally by CIC. But some schools do require fees payment to secure your admission. And its of late (dis year) CIC started requesting for proof of fees payment and funds export just because of the new CBN regulations on Foreign currencies/transactions. Read d Lagos Visa Office Form, the one that comes with a questionnaire for paper route application.

I have seen some moniker on this thread shivering on how to send CIC proof of money export, even without being requested of him. OYO is his/her case. I strongly wouldn't advice that. Making his/her look desperate.

I just tot I should share so that it wouldn't be confusing to newbies.

Success on our TRVs.

As per the delayed trv with payments.
You failed to talk about home tie nor previous work experience with current choice of course. Finance alone don't give trv approval as you rightly said all have to be balanced.

What you see on CIC site is a guideline...
Common sense comes to fore in certain cases.

You hav a distance cousin..uncle or a friend as a sponsor and you think those payments isn't necessary to show commitment and kill every doubt of sponsorship.

My dear.. CIC gave you a basic guide.
If i am to apply with my dad or mum not being my sponsor.. i will evn pay full tuition full rent and have my full leaving expenses.

It is by no means sign of desperation rather a sign of seriousness.

VO are human beings...there's no guide of judgement that says "This applicant is desperate" rather there's one with basic guide which one should fo well to meet 100%.

I would rather see the VO as a judge like tfat of a law court whom i have to convince with all possible evidence for a favorable judgement.

I still insist on payment of fees if you have the money!
Nigeria as a country has a reputation of fraud anybody could hav this cash refunded to whoever sent it after approval...I don't like assuming this guys knows this but sorry thats the reality.

As in i tire oo. My sponsor is my employer and attached letter of sponsorship and paid study leave on company letter headed papers. He even paid 900k to my acc for my first semester tuition thats 1950CAD and promised sending 2m per semester on the letter of sponsorship.

God dey i believe i will testify soon.

I would strongly suggest you reapply and do things a little differently.

Sorry to say but you may have sounded so confident that you overlooked some things.

1. Pay ur fees cos i believe the money being in ur account can b refunded to where it cane from.

2. Pay to reserve a room from student hostel. Ask if ur sch hav such.

U already hav a job and leave wit pay.

Let it state that you hav a bond to come back after ur study as it is a company policy.

3. Since ur employer is sending u..let it b a staff development programme to enhance ur skill for further improvement of the firm.

With ur profile if properly presented..YOU DON'T HAVE A REASON BEING DENIED TRV.

Good evening famz...I really want to ask if my mom brother can be my cosponsor n is it possible to have one sponsor n two cosponsor... I rejoice with everyone getting there trv approved... It shall end with praise

If i were you..and this people are truly sponsors like for real. (i.e this fund is available). I dont but the idea of all this too many co-sponsor wen u can pay n hav d cash...let them jst b there in case of emergency,

You already paid fees.
Get your living expenses paid into your account..something a little above CAD10k maybe 15k

If you want to take a lil risk you can open a Canadian bank acct and send it there.

Make deposit for school hostel reservation..it is usually £100 in U.K. to keep a room for you in sch hostel.

Why all this??
The Major reason you were denied was funding and purpose of visit...i followed ur case.

If u paid ur fees...your rent and room reserved...then ur living xpenses in ur canadian account.. You nailed that aspect...cos u hav all evidence and hav shown full commitment.

Are you employed?
If YES get a leave letter and letter of introduction.
If NO try to see if you can get employment from any relation or fam biz.

Let your SOP finish the rest...especially on why u chose d course..school and how ur pgd will improve ur skill n consequently the Nigeria economy at large. You can tell a story about your dreams/passion centered around ur course and developing back home..and don't sound desperate.

If you want to go extra mile....get a consent letter from ur gf hopefully stating that u ar getting married after your program here in Nigeria...i fit even put engagement pics seff aa evidence...
Make i see why thunder no go fire devil.

Neco result
Had 2 yr gap but didn't include it(still a student via Unizik )
Police report
Birth certificate
Letter of intent
Application form
Bio data
Letter of acceptance
Paid for first semester tuition fee nd house rent (showed receipt)

Dad's statement of account. Closing amount 7mil
End balance 5 mil (submitted only dad's SOA)
He included affidavit
Landed property worth 2.8 mil

Submitted may 4th paper route
Called for medicals on 19th july
Went for the test on 21st July
Medicals passed on 24th or so
Approved August 2nd

This can only be God...
Very simple...

Paid Tuition and rent.. (This was key)

Just imagine an applicant paying tuition..rent and have his living expenses wired to his newly opened Canadian account from Naija.

Except the VO was sent by village people shocked

I love the payment of rent aspect....thats serious faith that the VO had no option but to approve o cos getting refund for accommodation no b here.

No strong home tie...
No employment...
tho we dont know what was written via SOP..

Sincerely from the various application profile we hav seen that were denied. This is a Miraculous Approval!!!!

Hmm. Isn't this the most difficult?
I personally feel people deduce different meanings from what they read as opposed to you having the chance to explain what your documents mean.

I get your point..
People that have stage freight and starts shivering at the sight of VO ?

Av read alot about people forgetting wot to say via u.s Visa interviews of which a close friend with well packaged app started stammering and was not evn given time to provide documents to back his application only to be told sorry!

My dear...

This is the most Simple.
I've been to both U.K and U.S visa interviews not everyone has that gift of boldness.

But for this one..its so simple if only you follow this rules clarifying all issues with proof and beyond reasonable doubt.

Why hang on to 50:50 chance of approval cos of rush when you could easily give yourselve time to prepare and see your 100% approval even before submitting your app.

I stated it in my application that I am actually working as supervisor in my dad's bakery (though I ddnt add employment letter cos I dont have any but can provide one incase VO requests for it).
Its not actually only my brother that will cover my expenses. My father will help. We just submitted only his bank statement to prove I have more than enough funds to cover my 1st year of study according to what CIC website clearly states. I can't pay tuition now because Brandon Uni said I can pay during my registration. I don't know if its better to email the school that VO needs me to pay my tuition now or just leave it amd let things just flow naturally.
Its since I saw this thread that I learnt people also submit landed property. Plus during my bros finland visa app, he ddnt even submit financial status or landed properties but still got his visa.
I am just hoping on God now. He can make the impossible possible

Just for reference purposes...
The VO doesn't know you.
All he knows is what you put before him.

And as far as i know...whatever claim you make to them without proof is void especially the finance and employment aspects.

If you can send all this documents talked about here without being asked by the V.O the better for you.

You are judged by the documents presented...do so beyond every doubt.

Finally no one should ever get trv denial for a visa application you don't need a face to face interview. It is as simple as that.

What is the way forward gurus.... Please remember that I have paid tuition fees... Help me out please
Please please please help me out now cry cry cry

Your app isn't that bad...but can be improved!

1. Try to defer your admission to create time for reapplying trv

Finance..
2. It is good you paid your fees..now the living expenses is the issue. If yoursponsor has jst about 4M and you take out 2.5M or 3M i.e CAD10,000 meaning she has jst 1M to live off which doesn't sound cool.

Get a co-sponsor (if she cant meet up the below statement) this time around and have your living expenses transfered to your account and state it clearly on your SOP.
Have extra 1M aside the living expenses (flights & Miscellaneous).
You paid your fees, have you living expenses in your account. Then get the fund export letter from your bank saying you have no restrictions to access the fund from Canada

Home tie:
This is the "proposed lenght of stay"

I have always been of the opinion that siblings and parents aint strongly enof home tie except maybe one is used to travelling and returning or applying from another country as a resident or student.

However, If you can't get a job from your aunts firm and get an introduction letter and leave letter, Then further state that as the only son and in your native tradition you are to inherit all your parents have including family business and need to be accessible as your custom and tradition demands. Also get a consent letter from your parents permitting you to travel for your 1yr study. (Note: Do the same even if you get the Job offer letter)

Let your SOP summaries all this very strongly.

Before i forget...Pls dont stop using agents for visa applications...they try desperately to get you visa and get the rest of there money even if it means falsifying documents. I have friends who were banned cos of info the filled in U.S visa app not corresponding to the one for Canada because they don't evn know what the previous agent filled.

Anyone would be far knowledgeable than this agents if the read this thread from even part 8-12.

Me self don turn Visa agent self thanks to this thread and other similar ones tongue

Finally, It is only by HIS GRACE! #PrayToGodAlmighty

Senior Mazi.I believe you die. Honestly speaking to everyone who are new here endeavour to read up. Everybody is busy yes!!! When I first came here I was referred and advised by a friend in Halifax to read up from part 1.....mehn I got tired and feed up that I will move from part 3 to part 7 and be moving around until my friend prompted me to calm down and read from beginning. I knew what I wanted and I started reading from the beginning. Mind you I also go to work everyday am a teacher and I still create time to read. When I finished reading from part 1 to 9 I had already gathered all my documents for submission I only came back to ask @MichV, Yemdogg and my friend in dalhousie to vet my SOP. It ended well that within less than 5weeks I got my TRV. Imagine since March 8th that I got my trv I still read and follow this thread everyday till date. Why? Because I cultivated the habit back then to read from the beginning and now am use to it that I can't go to sleep one day without coming in to read. Again I don't answer to some questions when I know the said moniker that posted the question should have read some parts and gotten answers from there. If you quote me I will answer. And again nice job to @Cscd1234 for encouraging people to read from beginning but sometimes you don't have to reply everything you see here when you know you can't refer them. If you know where exactly the answers are in any part please kindly refer newbies there. Its not easy to read from beginning anyways but everyone can create time. I rest my case. Happy New Month.

I even have a notebook i write down every important info from compressing pdf file to police report location, cic email evn keeping a list of those in my province etc. I don't think there's any gmc rejection reason am yet to see.

Its a general problem here in Nigeria majority of us wants things done for us while we watch on.

Guess those mentality "must" change when faced with pressure from assignment deadlines and learning software applications via utube video wit an exam on those softwares waiting for you in 12weeks.

Honestly speaking sir/ma it didn't amount to this, If the said moniker didn't get a response or total silence on his post it would have been better than the crucifixion....
I'm certain he mit not rely only on information given to him here and might just be surfing the net only to stumble here and drop his questions for experienced people ..
If we can't help or profer solutions we should just fold our arms and watch!!!!!! Haba... Make person read 500pages.. Not even a reference or a link.... Nawa...

I read them all and had to read people's personal contributions from there profile... the likes of Maziude, Canadian nurse, thesoj etc.

Basically every successfully trv applicants in part 12 i read all they had to say some even during there admission application stage. I believe a lot of people here did same.

Funny enof i stumbled on people already studying my intended course from part 10 which means am 50% settled even b4 getting there cos i now ask direct departmental questions courtesy of previous post.

Good day house. Just started following this thread. I applied to study Pre-nursing at Brandon University as a second degree (having obtained my BSc in Biochemistry in 2014 and completed my NYSC in 2015) on the 7th of april 2017, and got a mail the next day requesting I forward my WAEC and transcript. I sent all the required documents on 18th of april and got a message from Brandon Uni on the 25th of april that they have recieved my documents and will have to be reviewed.
On 2nd of May I got a mail from Brandon Uni containing my admission letter that I have been admitted to start 3rd January, 2018. I submitted my study application on the 29th of June via VFS global Abuja with upfront medicals and got a message thesame day that my application has been forwarded to CIC thesame day with my tracking no.
On 26th of July, I created account on CIC and linked my paper application. I checked and my medicals shows passed while other things are still under processing. The interview line says I don't neeed an interview, additional documents says they do not need any other documents and final decision is still application still processing.
My brother will be sponsoring me. We have thesame surname and he resides in Finland. This is my 1st visa application so I want the gurus in the house to access my application and tell me what what they think.

Documents submitted

Study permit app. form and other forms from CIC website ( duely filled). Which was cross-checked by a VFS officer to be complete.

My admission letter from Brandon Uni containing my student ID no.

Court affidavit for birth certification

BSc cert

Photocopy of my passport

Photocopy of my brother's Nigerian and Finnish passport

Letter of intent

Letter of sponsorship from my brother (duely signed)

My brothers statements of account (duely signed and stamped) amounting to CAD 27,500

My CV

And my original passport.

NB. Brandon Uni said I should budget roughly CAD 23,000

I'm a little concerned because I've now seen people include landed properties, employment NYSC cert and professional courses which I didn't include because I just included only the documents the VFS officer asked for and she said my application is complete.

I currently work in my fathers bakery as a supervisor but don't have/need an employment letter.

Have some professional certs and NYSC cert which I didn't include

Didn't include my brothers landed properties and that of my dad and mum which is upto 5 different lands in different locations in Enugu. Which is up to 6 plots +

Please I want to ask if I can still submit all these documents I left out even though I have submitted my application or are the documents already submitted sufficient.

Please I neeed reviews.

Thanks

I just saw this...

Please I am not trying to discourage you but sincerely i wish you saw this thread and read all thru part 12. You would have come up with a far superior app.

Home tie:
You never submitted any birth Certificate of any of ur siblings and as you pointed out no employment letter even when you have a job tho is family business. (You being the Manager would have been a strong home tie)

Funding:
You should have paid your tuition so they have just your living expenses to worry about.

Secondly..submitting ur bro statement of acct with CAD27,500 when you have a budget of CAD23,500 meaning your bro hav to live off jst 4kCAD after paying ur fees which doesn't seem cool. I would have recommended a Co-sponsor in this case.

No travel history....The landed property documents would have gone a long way as well.

Pray and hope for the best.

Your family/ siblings serve as ties to Nigeria. It's not easy for some people to live apart or far away from their family. I saw a GCMS note where the VO was asking where the siblings reside. I deduced that the VO was trying to use the siblings place of residence to determine if the principal applicant will migrate or return home.

So if your siblings are all here, add their drivers license and also state in your SOP that they are all in Nigeria.

You have a point but i still wont advice anyone to bank SOLEY on siblings and immediate family ONLY as home ties. It is not good enough in my opinion.

Rather talk about family business you will inherit and run that you can't leave here or something similar...

Somebody please help!

My school does not give Transcript by hand but prefers to send directly to foreign school.
And am applying to Centennial College. The College said that I should send the scanned copy of my Transcript and other documents in one PDF file to them.

Pls how do I get my Transcript since my school in Nigeria don't give it by hand?

Your school should give you a student copy scan that one.

All school does.
Go get your student copy as they have to show it to you and you go through it to ensure there are no mistakes in your grades and CGPA before the send it to the required address.

In some cases they send without you going thru it thats if you are far away or don't care to see what they are about to send out.

Hello likeababygirl, what if you're in your late twenties like 26-29? Will the landed properties of your sponsor still count?

Pls lets avoid short cuts...and address issues completely as i believe what is what doing is what doing well.

I repeat "Your sponsors landed documents are not your home tie in any way... this probably only shows your sponsors have investments that can be viewed as being financially capable of sponsoring your school.

I still dont see any reason why your sponsors landed properties will compel you to come back after your studies...its as simple as that.

Except maybe it was willed to you..then it is yours and not your sponsors hence you must have proof for such claims.

likeababygirl:

You do not have to be married before your family can serve as hometies. Your parents and even siblings can serve as hometies.
Also, the landed properties do not have to be in your name. Your parents landed documents can serve as hometies especially if you are not self sponsored and you are still in your twenties.

This information can be misleading as this statement isn't completely true...

People who got denied for lack of home tie (Inability to convince the V.O that they would return after completing there program) obviously weren't ophans as they have families.

What is home tie??
"In summary; These are compelling reasons that mandates/persuades or make a person to leave a foriegn land and return to ones home country"

It is your duty to convince the judge (V.O) with facts and evidence before he passes his verdict on your application.

Relationships comes in different ways when to be used as home tie.

1. Your kids, fiance, wife and hubby are strong relationship ties that can compel anyone to come back after studies. "There must be proof" birth certificates, marriage certs e.t.c

2. Your parents becomes a reasonable tie of you can convince the V.O that you are the only person that can take proper care of them as they are old can only be happier when you are around hence you are highly needed to return home and care for them.

3. I don't see any situation where your siblings become a good enough tie. (Don't bank on this alone as home tie pls)

4. Family business (Once it is documented and registered)

Finally as for your parents/sponsors' landed documents, those are not "your" home tie as your parents/sponsors own those property hence i would classify those as financial clout of them being able to foot your bills rather than your home ties.
In simple terms; How does your parents lands compel you to return to Nigeria after your studies??

Thank you.
