driving:
I posted this for my friend, and i will also benefit from the responses.

Good morning sirs, please don't ignore. I have decided to put either my Volvo or g35 infiniti on uber as i am tired of sitting at home doing nothing.

Here is my calculation, if a corolla can net 40k per week, i will be good with a 15knet per week instead of sleeping away my life. Is 15k possible per week with the Volvo? Aside money, i will be able to meet people.

On paper, the g35 has a better fuel economy. It averages 20, while Volvo does 19mpg. But my Volvo is more rugged than the infiniti.

I got encouraged when a Lexus Rx330 showed up for a request i made in ogudu yesterday.

Please guys advise me, an idle mind/d.ick is a devil's workshop.

I am confused.
Also consider the cost of repairs and maintainance. Don't be encouraged by the RX 330. Cars like that can not last in the E hailing business.

They can only be used for part time e hailing... grin

PropertiesRe: Please I Need A Professional Advice From Hoteliers, Which City Is Good For Hote by mrsage(m): 4:28pm On Jul 17, 2019
I read a report sometime ago about hotel prices in Lagos and the writer concluded ( based on a survey) that hotel rooms in Lagos are over priced.

I don't know if its correct or not.

I have a feeling that low budget hotels may be more profitable than the so called big and expensive hotels.

Very true, but then again if one has the required resources to erect a hotel building such a person should still be capable of paying competent people to properly manage the Hotel.... There's a reason I made emphasis on having a good lounge in the hotel because Here in Abuja and mostly other cities Hotel lounge, bar, club and halls brings more money than lodging...
I agree. Any potential investor should learn how to strike the balance.

Your last sentence is absolutely correct too.

Come to Abuja if you have enough money to erect a standard and eye catching building I'll always be here to give ideas especially on setting up the lounge
I want to correct an impression. Its very common in this part of the world.

When we build or invest in hotel business we focus on the structure then forget operations and maintainance.

A hotel building doesn't need to be big and eye catching.

Key areas like operations and maintenance carry more weight.

A hotel can be small, not so beautiful but very profitable.

Lagos is ideal. Focus on good maintainance and be creative
BusinessWhat Are The High Income Skills In Nigeria Today? by mrsage(op): 6:14pm On Jul 15, 2019
Some skills in are know to guarantee high income as compared to others.

The only one that comes to mind is computer programming.

Computer programmers even earn more than Lawyers and Medical Doctors ( who are generally regarded as well respected professionals ).

What other high paying skills exist?

PoliticsRe: Timeline Of Events That Led To The Current Shiites Revolution (2007-2019) by mrsage(m): 2:42am On Jul 13, 2019
The Shiite movement is a large group. They have thousands of owners or maybe millions in Nigeria. So they have numbers.

They have not been treated fairly, the Leader is still in detention against the wish of the court.

The group has strong support from Iran. That country called Iran is very rich and prepared for any form of "show down". They make billions from Crude oil.

We all know that the Muslim majority in the North do not like the Shiites. They are not best of friends.

The Shiites have their faults. We all know this.

However the Shiites have not been treated fairly.

Two wrongs don't make it right
Where is El Zak Zaky?

Government should be more sensitive when dealing with their so called enemies or opposition.

This is how insurgency starts. Remember how Boko Haram started too.

My prediction

If Government is unable to " receive sense" these Shiites will pick up arms and become another Boko Haram in the next few years.

As we all know there is a new Sherrif in town.

For those of us who work and reside in Lagos we have a fair idea of what to expect from our new Governor. Babajide Sanwo Olu.

Our Governor was in Egypt over the weekend to cheer up the National Football team.

This visit to Egypt gives me a reason to worry and should trigger some deep taught.

First Mr Sanwo Olu has inherited a not so pleasant State.

Our roads are in a mess right now. They are terrible. From the Island to the Mainland.

Traffic management is clearly inadequate

We do not have adequate basic infrastructure.

A community in Lagos (Ijegun ) experienced a disaster. It was tragic.

It is important to note that our dear governor did not visit Ijegun neither did he send a delegation.

Our Governor does not have a cabinet at the .moment. This shows that there is a lot of work to be done

At this point I'm tempted to conclude that our Governor is a "show man" interested in PR.

I really doubt his ability to deliver.

Governor Sanwo Olu, you just fall my hand grin

*Your Vehicle Plate Number Is Been Monitored by 282 Cameras in Lagos for Tracking and Traffic Offenses*

THERE ARE 282 CAMERAS MONITORING VEHICLES IN LAGOS METROPOLIS - ENGR OLAYEMI, VIS HEAD OF PLANNING AND RESEARCH

Contrary to the stories making the rounds that a camera device located at Alausa Secretariat capturing vehicles with expired fake documents and sending bills to people sms, an official of Vehicle Institution Service VIS, Lagos State, Engr Olayemi disclosed that there are 282 of such mechanical device installed in many major roads within the metropolis and not in Alausa, Secretariat , Ikeja, alone.

He said the device is called Automatic Number Plate Recognition Device (ANPR) or Number Plate Detector for short.

According to the Head of Planning and Research of VIS , the device only captures the vehicle's number plate and send it to Motor Vehicle License data bank , Insurance Company data bank and Road Worthiness data bank , from where it detects if these documents are genuine or have expired.

When these documents have expired or are fake the device generate a bill and send it to the vehicle's owner phone through sms.

He said, for every infringement committed a bill of N20,000 is generated. A person who default in all the three documents will get a bill of N60,000.00.

He went further to say that the device which he is personally monitoring from his own office has captured 276, 284 vehicles number plate out of which 7,135 owners have been billed fines ranging from N20,000 to N60,000, since December 2018, when they commenced full fledge operation.

He confirmed that many prominent Lagosians including commissioners, lawmakers and senior state government officials have been booked and have quietly paid their bills.

A vehicle owner who refused to pay the fine within seven days stipulated in the sms send to his phone will have his vehicle blacklisted. Meaning the the vehicle will be declared wanted . Wherever such a vehicle is caught by the device again, officials of VIS in such area will be instructed to impound the vehicle.

He agreed that VIO are back on the road not to check particulars but to arrest rickety vehicles or those with overload which the new device cannot capture.
