Okay

And you think the same number of riders will remain?

Maybe we should ask uber why they slashed by 40% in the first place
The 40% price slash was done on impulse. Not well planned and analyzed.

We all know it was a quick response to the growing popularity of Taxify.

I still believe the price reduction is the worst decision in the history of E hailing in Nigeria.

What exactly is the true agenda of the current APC in Lagos? We need to reflect on this.

Lateef Jakande had an agenda in Office, he had a blueprint and he followed it diligently.

Our current set of leaders are just below average

He will learn with time.

I've driven on both platforms and i can say without prejudice that its really not worth it, especially if you do not own your car. Like most employers here, Uber and Bolt are taking serious advantage of the high unemployment rate in Nigeria. Things they cant get away with in other countries, they do here. There are so many challenges a driver faces that is not commensurate with the revenue at the end of the day. And like our country Nigeria, young people cannot come together to speak with one voice to end the injustice and unfair play. It is quite ridiculous that you will drive to pick a rider at home, wait and drive him/her to his/her destination in an airconditioned vehicle and still charge same or less what a yellow cab will. I can assure you, if all the drivers on this platform, down tools for a week, they will adjust. Its so simple, THEY CANNOT make money without the drivers. It is a little sacrifice that will reduce all the complaints made here. It is not too much to ask for. Ehailing is not for everyone, it should be a premium service and it is up to the them to introduce variants of it, if they so wish. It can be done
E hailing companies will not adjust unless the drivers and partners come together with a common voice.

Then again most drivers get carried away with 10-18k daily earnings so we feel its all good.

I place ads on Jiji. Its just a marketing option.

I believe cars and electronics/ gadgets sell fast. Those categories seem to have more traffic.

Hello house. I'm a newbie on the e-hailing job. I've just completed one week in the job. I must confess that the hustle "no be here sha". However, I have a small negotiation issue with my partner.

My partner wants me to do 35K weekly excluding Sundays. And I understand that most Sundays are peak days for work. I have complained that the deal isn't fair on my part yet my partner insist we keep to that arrangement.

So guys, I highly covet your opinions and advice on this matter.
Drive the car to your partners house.

Place the car key in a beautiful gift box, wrap it with lovely wrapping paper, then deliver to your partner.

Then get a new partner...

Animals are just better than some people, picked this couple at the airport. The messed my car real bad, ate chips and chicken from TFC I don't know what it's called. They started eating as soon as we left airport, they pushed the footmat and the small rug under the foot mat under the car seat don't know if it was on purpose and every kind of particles was just on the floor. Had it been they allowed all the mess to be on the foot mat it would be bearable, my car was just like a garbage bin. I managed to trash the whole nonsense and couldn't clean the rug, had to use the foot mat to cover it.
I would have reported to Uber at least the will be debited for car wash but I remember I used saka when they were delaying me and making several Yeye stops.

Talking from experience and experience only.... I had three Honda civics ,just sold 1 few weeks ago 03 .. The rest is 04 and 03 .. All bought tokunbo.. Very solid cars and strong and good on fuel..... Civics from 03 to 05 ,is what I know and what I recommend.. I can't recommend something that I have not used.... And landing cost for those cars should be around 1.2 to 1.3m .... If you can a tokunbo from the start, maintain it well, good oil coolant etc .. And the resale value of that car is not bad. I sold mine last than two weeks when it was advertised..
Absolutely correct... Civic 03-05 model is good to go. Tested and Trusted....

Have u ever seen a black man that has ever agreed to be making profit in any business no matter how successful it is?
That's not the point. I gave a scenario with figures then asked the question.

If you earn N2,635 as income from Mm2 to Phase 1 ( 1 hour ) calculate all the cost involved and tell me how you will make profit.

We all get carried away by the turnover we earn daily or weekly as the case may be.

Pls somebody help I got a driver who registered my Camry 2004 on Taxify. I gave him a condition that the car will always be with me on Sundays for my private use. He didn't like the idea. He said it doesn't work that way on rental agreement. He is to be delivering 25k each week.only from Mondays to Saturdays. Pls anybody to tell me if this arrangement with him is unfair. I need advice. I'm new to the Biz. My work does not permit to drive myself now

BusinessRe: Loan To Start An Uber Business: Your Take. by mrsage(m):
A loan for Uber is very dicey but can work if properly managed.

2M is too much.

Don't invest more than 1.3M (car purchase, registration etc).

You can buy a Honda Civic 03/04 model. Its cheaper and gets the job done. You recover your money faster.

The profit margin(s) are not as high as before.

If we are not careful, the so called earnings we see on the screen will affect our judgement.

E hailing people, are we really making profit considering the current fares and increasing cost of doing business?

Great observation... Let's be honest its not all about earnings.

We all earn and we've seen great performers in the past. Remember those days ( no need to mention names but we remember them ).

In the past Uber newsletter was sent weekly and they had special recognition for highest earning driver.

My people we have seen earnings, 250k , 300k and even more in 7days.
