My humble opinion.
Those cars are too expensive. N3,000,000 car is too much for Uber. The car you drive doesn't determine your earnings so you can make do with a cheaper car.

This is strictly business no sentiments involved.

To get this right without coming off as rude, your opinion is that partners should'nt go ahead to pay for the operational license? My question to you is that your vehicle gets impounded right now and your driver is handed a 60k ticket fine cos you dont have the license, what would you do about it?
From his long write up. He never said partners should not pay the fine.

As far as I understand, he only gave a suggestion that partners should solve the problem collectively going forward.

I think it makes sense. An association, pressure group or lobby group will go a long way.

In fact I'm of the opinion that Uber partners and transporters generally should even lobby for some benefits from government.

Don't be deceived. Those old school taxi drivers have strong contacts in Alausa and they make things happen.

I suspect they have a hand in this Uber/vio saga. Uber is obviously a serious threat to some people.

There is a meeting holding at the national stadium today by a group of Uber drivers on the issue of VIO and other things affecting the Uber business in Lagos. I will advise anyone who can go to be there.

It's by 11am.

Uber is like Coca-Cola.
It's a brand.
It can't be kicked out.
They don't need to be kicked out. They only need to sit up.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by mrsage(m): 11:08pm On Dec 03, 2016
The market is ripe for a new competitor to challenge Uber. This will make them sit up.

This Vio vs Uber drama has been around for some time now and to the best of my knowledge Uber has been very silent.

Solution: drivers and partners have to compel them to do something.

Government officials are no angels they can set up an amicable settlement or re negotiate. And besides Uber still has an office. A known CEO so we should compel them to act.

Monkey dey work barboon dey chop me no like am at all.

If you cannot provide the site, I will take this as a deliberate attempt of defamation of my person. I have always been very open and supportive of all my clients, I find your comment totally alien to me. Please come clarify what site I designed for you that stopped working after 3months
I'm very sorry its a mistake. I had an ugly encounter with a website designer I met on Nairaland.

I taught it was you.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
BusinessRe: I Need A Loan Of 100k by mrsage(m): 1:06pm On Nov 30, 2016
Why should anyone entrust 100k in your hands? You designed a site that stopped functioning after 3 months.
Till date you have failed to tidy up.

You obviously lack integrity.

Warning to everyone!!!!!

Borrow him money at your own risk.

If your idea is IT or tech related or similar you can visit CCHub @ Yaba. Nice place to network too.

I know what you going through, i also experienced this when I was into manufacturing.

It takes a lot of effort and persistence.

Also google Private equity firms in Lagos/ Nigeria or Venture capital firms.

Wish you luck.
