Radoillo: LOL. U make it sound bad. grin
He has called a family meeting when I asked can I use my maiden name.

It was torture but to appease my hubby I took his name.

He was grinning like a Cheshire cat after the name change.

Sighs.

Fulanis at most are nomads and they do not sit still enough to have a region known for them.

They are all over the place but I don't think they contributed highly in ways that matter but nevertheless they shouldn't be in this debate at all.

sunnydayasaba: So people really dnt knw the great potentials in Nigeria, Millions of people are trying so hard to come into Nigeria..Though no much employment opportunities, But their great prospect and gud returns on investment.

OP, pls disregard any negative comment abt Nigeria, where great and loving people, u already experience it wit ur man. Visit the Nigerian High Commission in Uk get a visa and a work permit, i assure u, u will be jst fine as long as we here in Nigeria can survive, u will survive. There is no safe place in this world and some places are more toxic than others. We have to keep it real about the highs AND lows of any country we visit.

Kidnapping is a problem in Nigeria and she need to be careful.. even Nigerian police wouldn't be able to save her azz.

LewsTherin: Ha ha ha! I laugh in Afrikaans!
This question is all a result of thinking marriage is an act. The couple are actors. Everyone has a role. There's the oga and then the wife or the husband and then the madam.
Meanwhile, what God intended marriage to be was simply a man and woman who choose to live together because they compliment each other, they are good for each other and they love each other. (gay rights activists shoot me if you want. God created Adam and Eve!)
While couples need to put in as much or maybe even more effort than thy do at their jobs, the only cast-in-stone duties in marriage are that the woman bears the children and the man carries the burden of heading - not ruling the union. What this means is that mutual agreements need to be reached with opinions from both sides taken and the emotional thinking of the woman be balanced out by the rational thinking of the man (feminists will shoot me down on this one too. But like it or not, this is a generalisation that is true). But nO man has the right to ALLOW or INSTRUCT his wifeto do whatever. He can only suggest and the wife should always lovingly consider. Respect is a mutual thing.

That said, will I ALLOW my wife look hot and sexy and desireable and drop dead gorgeous and the envy of all women around and the desire of all men in town? Duh!!!
Just because a woman disagree with your opinions does not make her a feminist and as a feminist....I agree with most of your post!

We need to be less judgemental and anal retentive for our minds to grow up.
His OP doesn't say "I had a nasty rumormongering experience with Nigerians" he speaks in very general terms as though all Nigerians would immediately default to gossiping also he speaks as if it is uniquely Nigerian, cue his post "Nigerians are culturally nosey". That should tell you this is not about his experience this about him trying to be 'not Nigerian'.
I talk about women as a woman does it mean I hate women or myself as a woman? No.

You can do better than that boo.
