Romance › Relationship Question For The Males by MrsChima(op): 3:33am On Aug 15, 2011
I need you (the males) to be honest with me.

I was with a group of associates today and we were having snacks/drink chit chatting about whatever you know looting in London, War in the Middle East, and Presidential Elections in America. Anyway!

The conversation went into the battle of sexes mode where a guy stated that women are confused when it come to men. He gave an example using his girlfriend who is in college and doesn't want a serious relationship until after college which is smart in my opinion. The proceeded to say that he loves his girlfriend and shows his love physically by doing things for her.

The girl stated that expression of love is emotional not physical and that when the battle of sexes mode kicked in full gear. The men stated that men show love physically by marriage, courting, impregnating, buying things, and being there physically.

Women stated that men should give more emotion rather than physical. Affection, cuddling, saying sweet poems, communicating, and doing things verbally.

My question to the males, do you guys feel that to show a woman that you love her or even like her by being physical?

How do you show your love to your wife/girlfriend?

My take on it is that when SOME men say that women should be glad that a man wants to give them children. I find that to be cocky and bullshitty. That's just like saying you are worthy of my sperm and my children. What the hell? undecided

Number 70 said:

Chocolate men are not sexy.

Now if you read a few comments back.  Mz Darkskin wrote why she prefers dark men saying they are sexy and blah blah.

I responded saying Chocolate men are not sexy.  It has nothing to do whether I think dark men aren't cute or marriagble.

Sexy is more than just looks in my opinion.  I can see how you took it as literal. It was an inside joke with me and Mz. Darkskin. wink

I do agree with you on the life threatening and incessant cheating. Its just I've seen so many marriages crumble for the most frivolous of reasons.
I hate Divorce Court with a passion. I wrote to Judge Toler on the show that she should encourage people to STAY MARRIED if it is over the dumbest shit.

She wrote me back saying that she agree but she is trying but people do not listen. I wrote back saying TRY HARDER!

Divorce laws should be STRICT.

You think a Nigerian man or woman with COMMON SENSE will stay in a marriage if their spouse is threatening to kill them literally? You know you won't!

.

Well, both people have to have the desire to work hard at the relationship and make it work. I know a couple who divorced simply because the wife was married to her family and NOT her husband. How about another family who was trying to oust the wife and encourage the husband to marry his "mistress." Why? Because the husband would go demonizing his wife to his evil father all the time. Or another couple who broke up because she would go telling her parents their business. In return, she got some bad counselling because of the way her parents felt about him in the first place: He was Igbo, and they didn't care for igbos period).

You see where I'm going with this?
Now you see why I said FAMILIES need to let HUSBAND AND WIFE be husband and wife?  My husband and I do not share anything personal between us to our families.  We do not want our families take side and if Mr. Chima and I have a disagreement WE KEEP IT BETWEEN US and work it out.

I was raised with married women who always tell me when you get married MAKE IT WORK and do not divorce unless it is life threatening and your spouse going around screwing anything and everything.  Other than that MAKE IT WORK is the married women in my region motto.  MAKE IT WORK.   That's why people need to get to know whom they are marrying before they sign the contract and know the weaknesses and strengths not just strengths.

Marriage requires WORK and DESIRE to be in it FOR A LONG TIME but the moment one ball dropped it is over.  If you don't have stamina for work you will not have stamina for marriage or relationship for that matter.

Very insightful Mrs Chima. Would you say the same apply to non married couples say new relationships, long term relationships etc?
It applies to all relationship but marriage is more serious in my opinion than dating relationship.  I don't believe in divorce and think families should let husband and wife BE HUSBAND AND WIFE.

I know shocking!  All Americans doesn't support divorce unless it is life threatening.  I will not stay with Mr. Chima if he is threatening to kill me. Come on!

Mr. Chima isn't like that so I am not worrying about nothing.  A woman can do that when she knows she got a good man.   wink

Deniyor.

I do not support family members getting in married couple's disagreements because then the family members will be forced to take sides. In some cases, I have witnessed family members choosing the opposite side meaning the husband if it is the wife's family or the wife if it is the husband's family.

It is not a good idea. Now if there is a discussion that affects the whole family then invite the family in like celebration, adoption, in SOME CASES divorce dispute, and moving to another state or country.

I also want to add that women NEED TO STOP CONFIDING to their friends about their husbands. It is a no no. I am not talking about something trivia and generic such as "we went to the movies and ate a nice dinner". I am talking about serious matter such as his health conditions, sexual problems or prowess, and personal matter that should be kept between HUSBAND AND WIFE.

One thing I will never share is PERSONAL info of Mr. Chima and I because it is no one business but Mr. Chima and I. Women should take suit. The reason I am saying women because women has it WORSE than men.

Why don't you talk to the Nigerian man that you are interested in?  One Nigerian man can't speak for another Nigerian man.  Just because some of the people on this site are Nigerians doesn't mean they share the same views as the Nigerian guy you are interested in.

Some women beginning to disappoint me.
