well...from your first issue you should try synchronising your Gmail messages and contacts from The account settings....

the “unnecessary ” keyboard vibrate can be terminated in the language and input settings.... you can stop the vibration there...and the sounds too

...and true...those huge Gs on the network area are really ugly... but the Chinese seem to disagree.... in any case, that can be easily circumvented by changing the entire status bar....
