Overall, we actually played better than I expected. We also had better chances than City just couldn't finish. Not really bothered by losing it on pens to be honest. I just want an improved performance from the team starting with Fulham.

Who is pissed about this? I know people are upset we havent signed a midfielder but I havent seen anyone be upset we havent overpaid for Ugarte. I dont know many who were even keen on him.

Midfield is still a mess like it was before but maybe even worse now that we dont even have Amrabat. Attack has a new signing who isnt ready to play. We have community shield in 6 days and league season in 12 days.

We look very undercooked with 12 days to a new season.

This is very obvious but I'll give him this season to prove himself. If he doesn't step up then he needs to be gone next summer. Although I don't know how we'll sell him considering the contract he's on.

The LB needs urgent attention I agree but AWB is out of contract next year. This is the time to get a little money back for him, and add it to our transfer funds.
We can do both deals this window.

Also whatever use AWB has is detrimental to how a team that wants to play front foot, attacking football sets up.

We can’t keep criticising the team for playing haram football and still want to keep players like AWB and BellTominay, that will not get anywhere near the squad of other top teams, just because they have their uses.

I would be shocked if we can do both deals this window. but Kashimawo.

We do not need the kind of balance that AWB brings. I am not even a Dumfries fan like that, but you see that AWB na error. There is no top team that has a full back who is so limited on the ball like him. If we want to improve as a team in terms of how we play, especially how we play out from the back, we should not have a player like AWB on our books. We need players that can at least contribute in a way that we can maintain our style of play if injuries occur.

Whilst I agree on a whole with what you're saying. I would prefer we do something about that LB side now and then upgrade the RB next summer. AWB can have his uses as a backup RB. I doubt Dumfries would come over to be 2nd choice to Dalot. But Shaw and Malacia are not it for me. They both need to be replaced as a priority

Sancho is definitely pass first. The problem for him is putting in effort, work rate and delivering consistent quality.

I don't think he is pass-first on the left. He definitely is on the right though.

Rashford and Sancho for the left.

Garnacho and Amad for the right.

Antony for the dustbin or loan. Whichever is easier to sort out.

Just a shame none of those are pass-first wide players because our strikers will suffer.
