Autos / Terrible Accident Around Yellow Duke, Calabar, Driver In Critical Condition by MrTechy(m): 10:48am On Nov 03, 2021
We are live in Calabar the capital city of Cross River state where a terrible accident just happened and we can confirm that the driver is not dead but is in critical condition fighting for his life.

The problem of decayed infrastructure has been a measure problem in Nigeria and most African countries.
Roads that were meant to serve as a means of movement and transportation have turned to death traps. reports have it those road accidents are responsible for most annual death in Nigeria and a greater percent of this is due to bad roads.

A case of this is a portion of the Yellow Duke street, Calabar South, Cross River State. A portion of this road has been greatly affected by gulley erosion, The part directly above the sewage has been cut away by rain erosion and is slowly taking a greater part of the road.

Yesterday night, the worst happened as a car fell into a cut part of the road
A Toyota Camry saloon car, yesterday night, fell into the ditch created by the gully erosion. As at the time of gathering this information, the source of the accident was unknown but rumors had it that it was a case of poor driving. The car capsized into the pitch with the roof of the car being horizontal.

Asking an eye witness who goes by the name Kufre and stays close to where the accident happened has this to say:

“This road has been repaired several times, and each time they get it fixed, it becomes worst, I believe the reason why this road keeps getting worst is the fact that whoever is in charge of repairing the road is not using quality products or company to work this death trap”

Another witness has this to say:

It is partly the fault of the driver, I stay around and was awake when it happened, I heard a vehicle at full speed as if someone was after him and a bang sound followed, I believe he is a new person applying this road. We call on the government to help fix this road once and for all, this place has been a death trap for so long it is high time they look for a permanent solution to this.

let’s continue praying for Nigeria and hope the problem of infrastructure decadence is solved soon.

Today is 9th August was declared by the Idenginous people of Biafra as a seat-at-home day in protest to the arrest and trial of their leader Mazi Nnmamdi Kanu if you could remember On Tuesday, June 28, 2021, the Nigerian security setup achieved a major coup which served the notice that in spite of everything, it still knows its onions. Though the details have not been officially made public, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, was nabbed in a foreign country, brought back to Nigeria, and immediately returned to the dock to continue facing his trial.

Following his release on bail on health grounds by an Abuja Federal High Court in April 2017, Kanu later disappeared from Nigeria after the Nigerian Army invaded his family home in Afaraukwu Ibeku, Umuahia in October 2017. Since then, he had been making incendiary broadcasts promoting his pet project of independence for Biafra. He also formed an armed vigilante group, the Eastern Security Network, ESN, which he said was strictly for the defense of the South East and South-South against armed pastoralist invaders.

Education / No Date For School Resumption Has Been Fix Yet – FG by MrTechy(m): 2:16am On Apr 30, 2020
The Federal Government has said that it has not fixed any date for the resumption of school nationwide despite the announcement of a gradual ease of the lockdown in Lagos, FCT and Ogun State by President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday. This was disclosed by the Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, on Tuesday in Abuja at the 21st joint national briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19.

According to him, the Federal Ministry of Education could not give any date now when schools would be resuming across the country. He also explained that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has not cancelled its external examinations as students will still have to go and take them when the government is sure that students are no longer in danger of contracting the virus.

“The Federal Government is not ready to put children at risk by opening schools. “The President actually addressed the issue of the opening of the economy gradually. Until that is done, we cannot foresee or immediately tell you when all the schools will be reopened. “It will not be proper for us to simply give you a date. It has to be in tandem with these opening terms. We don’t want to put our children at risk. None of these schools can function on their own without the society.

“On the question of children promoting to the next class, those exams will happen when we are satisfied that the children have learnt what is enough for them to move. “For those who are in the exit classes of junior basic and senior secondary schools, we are preparing them and will continue to. “This will go on until we are sure that they are equipped for the external examinations. “The West African Examinations Council has not cancelled their external exams. It was postponed indefinitely.

“This indefinite nature is so that we can get a definite date. Students will still have to go and take those exams when we are sure that we have taken good care of the pupils.” He stated.

Education / Reasons You Might Not Be Given Admission Into The University This Year by MrTechy(m): 3:03am On Jun 25, 2019
Jamb has just release this year cutoff mark for admission into the university, polytechnic and college of education, which is 160 for university 140 for polytechnic and 100 for college of education you might be lucky to be above this year cutoff mark. The truth is it doesn’t ends there; they are lots of things that if you don’t get right now you might end up not gaining admission into your university/School of choice or your course of choice.
This 2019 Admission guide is not to scare you, but just to enlighten and give you in-depth knowledge about things most university consider before given admission, so you can correct it now by doing change of course or change of institution, before it gets too late, that’s why you see most aspirants with high jamb score ending up not gaining admission.
2019/2020 Admission Guide For Aspirants
1. Low UTME and Post-UTME Score
This is one great factor that determines if you’ll get admitted into the university this year, apart from the compulsory fact that every aspirant of a university most attain the score 160 or above to gain admission into the university, you’re strongly advice to try and get above the cutoff mark in other to stand a better chance of being admitted this year.
Most university adds your JAMB scores with your Post-UTME scores and divides it by two (2) the result (remainder) is what actually determines if you get admitted. For example, you scored 200 in JAMB and 180 in post-UTME adding it together gives you 380, then divide by two (2) gives you 190. It actually means 190 is your scores, now the question is, can 190 get you admitted in your choice of course? What is the cutoff mark for my course of course in my school?
Solution: I’ll advice you either score high in post-UTME or in Jamb.
2. Wrong Subjects Combinations
Are you ignoring this big mistake? Then you should reconsider, that’s why the jamb brochure is available for you to make reference. The jamb brochure contains courses and it subject combination for all courses.
I have seen as case where the mistake came from the computer operator, to save guide yourself from this mistake after filling your information , simply ask the operator to give you a chance to cross check the forms he or she just fill to avoid error. This mistake can cause you your admission, few cases the victim is given a different course entirely.
3. O’Level Result
This is one place candidates make mistake too, just like the wrong UTME subject combination, the=is has a strong impact on your admission chances, try to have the correct O’level subject combination.
In some cases candidates fail some subject in their O’Level and this disqualify them in their admission quest. I have a friend who had issues in English, he had D7 in English and was applying for mathematics and statistics, even with all the advice he was still telling me as a mathematician the course doesn’t really need mathematics, it was really ignorance on his own path.
4. Adequate Information About The School
In other to have a better chances of gaining admission into your school of choice, you should have fore-hand information about the school, not just only about the school but also about the course it department and faculty you are aspiring to study, this will also help you in avoiding the mistakes listed above.
5. Studying past Questions
Research has proven that, 95% of Post-UTME question comes from past question,, you are always advice to read past question of your school of choice, the subjects you know you’re writing particularly, that’s why we are here, we have all schools post-UTME past questions for just a fee of N500 you can’t get it elsewhere as cheap as this, take this chance and get it plus adequate information about your school.
6. Incomplete credentials during screening
Yes, this can actually cripple your chances of gaining admission. In 2016 the post-UTME aptitude test was scraped out and was replaced immediately with screening of candidates, even though it was later kept as optional, most school still practice screening rather than the well known aptitude test, the screening entails you bring most of your documents like, WAEC Result (O’Level), JAMB original result, Birth Certificate, Local Government of Origin etc. schools differs with information needed. Ask to know if your school is screening candidates or writing aptitude test , not bringing these document might also cripple your chances of gaining admission.
7. Late Registration
I planned adding this factor as bonus with explaining them much; I won’t be doing justice to this point. The world has gone mobile and our schools are not left out in this civilization as most schools if not all have adopted the system of saving data online. Most Aspirants tent to like doing late registration, which could be very dangerous, you are always advice to do every registration on time to avoid server failure due to congestion and other bad things that accompanies late registration. You might end up not having your name on the server of your indenting school
8. Wrong Post UTME Registration
Yes, don’t shake your head, this happens I have seen a lot, a case where a candidate will register make payment for the wrong registration or a candidate will make payment for another student due to the rush in the part of the computer operator. How do I know this? I own a computer kiosk outside my school and the person I employed has brought much of this complains to me. So to avoid this mistake take your time in doing it (that is if you are doing it yourself) or meet an experience person(s) to do it for you.

This information like I said earlier is just to keep you on guide and not to scare you, you can help yourself by applying them. I wish you success in this year admission pursue.

Conclusion
To add to these tips, you are advised avoid anybody asking you to pay money for admission that he or she can give you admission, most of them are fraudsters. Also stay away from quack computer operators who don’t know or have any idea about the school or their application process.
