Arsenal scored and won for the first time this season without conceeding a goal. Thanks to Auba's goal against Norwich. Arsenal will play Burnley to continue battle against relegation.

FamilyRe: What Could He Be Doing Spending 4hours And More In The Bathroom? by MrTuns: 2:08pm On Sep 02, 2021
He had started noticing strange growths on his leg but didn't reveal to anyone. This explains why he spends hours in the bathroom looking at it, probably picking away at it and wallowing in despair and self pity. Cancer is not necessarily caused by certain habits only that certain habits such as smoking can increase your chances of having cancer such as lungs cancer. No known study has directly attributed smoking to lungs cancer. No known study has also attributed cancer to genetics either. Cancer remains a mystery in science.
Iyaebe:
My cousin brother of about 19years of age came for a visit in our house and each time it's time for his meal he'd be no where to be found within the house. This habit was a constant thing that I became too curious to know what he's up to.

So I started following every of his moves only to discover that he spends minimum of 4hours in the bathroom and this is not a case of him taking his bath, he'd later come out when he's done and there will be no signs of him taking bath.

I questioned him and he completely deny it, i always tiptoed to his room and put my ears on the bathroom door so as to pick one or two things but all to no avail and he left back for their house after spending some time with us.

Now the mom called yesterday that he was suddenly brought home from his school few moths back due to severe leg pain around his knees, the leg has swollen so much and he has been in the hospital where different tests were carried out and he was diagnosed of leg cancer and they have resulted to amputation which would be carried out any time soon, this came as a shock to everyone because there's no history of cancer in the family.

My curiosity is could he be into something which must have led to that? What manner of habits would make him hide and spend so much time in the bathroom (remember he's not taking his bath)? He has refused to own up or talk about this bathroom issues and his parents don't even know about it till I brought it up.

Please your suggestions and advise are needed.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Bans Media Parading Of Suspects by MrTuns(op): 7:18pm On Aug 22, 2021
Read the contents of the post. The bill also stipulates that suspects be given facilities to contact family members or their lawyer immediately after arrest
Cashio:
This is good and bad at the same time.
Good in the sense that the privacy and security of suspects are protected. Bad in the sense that police mostly arrest and parade innocent citizens and the families or friends of such persons only get to know when such persons are paraded.

I don't just know whether to commend or condemn the act

PoliticsLagos Bans Media Parading Of Suspects by MrTuns(op): 7:06am On Aug 22, 2021
Read: How Lagos is setting the pace on Police Brutality and Human Rights.

Lagos state house of assembly passed a bill banning the media parading of suspects, police arrests without warrants and arresting family members in lieu of suspects on July 5, 2021 and the bill was assented by the Governor on the 16th of August, 2021.

The bill, which was passed under the leadership of Mudashiru Obasa (Agege 1), the speaker of the house is an amendment of the Lagos State Criminal Justice Law.

The deputy speaker of the house, Wasiu Eshilokun-Sanni (Lagos Island 1), presided over the Monday sitting that saw to the passage of the bill.

Already assented by the state governor, the bill will stop the police from parading suspects before the media.

According to section 9(a) of the newly passed bill, “as from the commencement of this law, the police shall refrain from parading any suspect before the media.”

Parade of suspects before the media in Nigeria has always been a point of debate.

Several lawyers, human right activists and civil society organisations have called for its end saying it does not protect the human rights of suspects.

Femi Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and a human rights activist sued the police, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Attorney-General of Federation over media parade of suspects.

Mr Falana, who approached a Federal High Court in Abuja in suit FHC/ABJ/CS/519/19 said pre-trial media parade of criminal suspects by security and anti-corruption agencies is illegal and unconstitutional.

The lawyer said the act is a violation of Section 36(5) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as Amended, Article 7 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights (Ratification and Enforcement) Act, (Cap A9) Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

Similarly, Mr Falana, while speaking at a conference on the enforcement of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law said only the poor and the less privileged are paraded before the media, with rich suspects treated with dignity and respect.

“You don’t parade the big men; you don’t parade politically exposed persons. You only parade the poor,” he said.

The bill In addition to stopping the parade of suspect before the media, the bill also prohibits arrests in lieu in criminal matters.

It states that suspects should be accorded humane treatment, with the right to dignity of person and not be subjected to any form of torture, cruel, inhumane or degrading treatment.

It also stipulates that the only condition where the police can arrest without warrant is if a person is “reasonably suspected to unlawfully be in possession of firearms or other such dangerous instruments.”

The bill adds that arrested persons “shall be given reasonable facilities for obtaining legal advice, bail or making arrangements for defence or release.”

Following the passage of the bill by the House on Monday, the same was transferred to the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for assent.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu is yet to respond to PREMIUM TIMES’ inquiry on the position of the police on the bill.

Muyiwa Adejobi, the police spokesperson told PREMIUM TIMES he is not aware of the bill.

“I’m not aware of it, I’m not in the know,” he responded. In a recent parade by the Lagos state police, the suspects were paraded with their faces facing the wall and only their backs facing the camera. This is seen as a ploy to circumvent the new law.

The role you applied for lasts for two months and the pay is 78k plus. Your work starts two weeks into the exam and lasts till you are done scanning. That work hard sha cos you will work seven days in a week. I worked in Lagos office and it was fun in a way but don't expect any employment after

I was invited too. Is it a permanent or temporary job?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Waec Ad Hoc Staff by MrTuns: 10:01pm On Aug 10, 2021
The role I applied for is 'scanning machine operator'. I applied here in Lagos. Does the employment last only for the duration of the exams?
Ayoade05:
As a WAEC adhoc staff, you serve as a courier cum control room officer.

As a courier officer, you have to take codes ( live question papers) from your state's WAEC office to any Custodial center you are assigned to. You'll be conveyed with WAEC bus/car-as the case may be- with a police officer (so don't think of doing any funny thing grin. So after the examination all supervisors will bring the answered booklets to your Custodial center and you'll eventually take them back to your state's WAEC office (including unused codes). This will be done on each day of examination.

But as a control room officer, you'll be in the CONTROL
ROOM controlling answered booklets. No need to worry about control room activities, you'll surely be guided by your chief Control room officer on things to do in the control room.

For the wages... That's left for your state's office to decide.

By the way, which state are you going to work as an adhoc staff?

Muna4real:
I watched a video on instagram where apostle Suleiman was saying that nigerian youtubers have made it a point of duty to tell lies about him and other pastors. He said that youtube is paying them for putting up such defamatory videos about him everyday and it's unfair to him.

For me, I support his actions. There is no day that will pass without one foolish youtuber making one stupid video about pastors. It has been going on for years and they have refused to stop. If it's not pastor Chris, it's oyedepo,if not oyedepo, it's Adeboye. It's becoming annoying.
I pray in some distant future you will naturally begin to develop some sense
