I have a similar case. Please I need your advice on how you are able to resolve it. I sent you a DM.
@Softdudekay

I’m yet to tackle mine.
On this my current application, I intend to fix it with all form of honesty, back it up with evidences as well as avoid any form of misrepresentation … The honest truth is our cases are definitely not the same so you can’t fix yours with mine and likewise.

I’ll advise that you, share your exact story here and I believe that you’ll get one or two responses that you can fit together to make your case with the visa officer

I know some people have advised you to admit that you used an agent. Just double check whether you'll get into trouble if you should do that. Because I think you risk getting a 5 year ban for misrepresentation.

Alternatively, maybe say that you used a friend's card to make the payment and that you weren't aware of any issues - that you were shocked to receive this notice from them and you've lost touch with the friend so you can't get to the bottom of what went wrong. Then proceed to apologise and attach proof of the new payment.

@softdudekay

Do not say that you used an agent, I repeat, Do not say that you used an agent I am saying this from experience
Although I didn’t get a 5 year ban based on my refusal letter, but it contributed to my last PR refusal and that’s part of what I have to defend now in a new application.

NEVER EVER BRING UP NEW ISSUES FOR AN OFFICER TO DIG THROUGH …..my 2 cents

It's pretty difficult to do. Perhaps, if the change is really driven by passion, work/life experience and career goals, the justification will flow naturally.

A reason for taking up the undergraduate instead of graduate program could be because the two fields don't overlap, and a graduate program in human nutrition requires foundational knowledge such as human physiology, etc.

I cannot give further specific responses without knowing your situation.

Hope this helps.

Thank you,
This will help

Why not pursue a post-grad diploma in law or paralegal studies. If you choose to go for an undergrad.
1: it's quite expensive
2: you will need to talk more in your sop or lose.

Law isn’t what I want to pursue anymore based on what I do now.

Hmm take more in my SOP … okay thanks

Hello everyone

I’ve got a law degree and I got an undergraduate admission to study human nutritional science.

How best can one explain the transition in the field of study and also taking up an undergrad and not a graduate program?

About the IMM forms,
let’s say your school resumes (registration) January 10 2022 and your program is an undergraduate program of 4years.

What date will one fill as the program end date on the IMM 1294e?

On the IMM 5257,
Purpose of visit will be short term studies, right?

I think it'll be better if Justwise could include the link to that post on the first page so that it's easier to find. If not people have to scroll through many pages to find it...

Do you by chance remember what page it was?

Please I need help with reviewing my documents before submission…. anyone?

I can't remember all the documents I submitted off the top of my head but I think you've listed all the important documents that you have to submit. To be certain, you can use the Nairaland search bar to search this thread and previous threads for PPR testimonials that list out the exact documents they submitted.

You can also refer the first page of this thread. I recall there being a link to a post that lists out all the important documents to submit.

Thank you

Hello house

Which work documents does a self employed person get?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by msbaileyz(f): 11:59am On Oct 17, 2022

@olokings @bepositive11 @thomsyne
Yes. Please reread Olokings response. There has to be a correlation between your income and your bank balance, if not it will raise suspicions. If your income and years of employment is not enough to justify your bank balance, you need to include details about the property sale and the gift deed.

See this example. Let's say you have 50 million as your bank balance. Your monthly salary is 1 million and you have been working for 2 years.

This means that in the last 2 years, you have earned 2 years × 12 months × 1 million = 24 million

So your salary and years of employment does not justify your bank balance. If you claim to only have that job and no other source of income, the visa officer will become suspicious because they will know that the remaining 26 million (50 million - 24 million) came from somewhere else.

I hope you understand it now.

Thank you and well understood

Kindly help review the documents to be submitted

Since the money was gifted to you, it is now your own money so your application will be considered as self funded.

As for the documents that you will have to submit to support the property sale, I'm not sure. I'll leave someone who knows better to answer that.

So meaning that, even if it’s self funded and the lump sum doesn’t reflect in the 6 months statements, I still need to explain add my mums property sale documents and the gift deed to my application?

Great explanation Olokings.

msbaileyz Please see above.

@olokings
@bepositive11

Thank you for your response

So having said that,

The funds was from my mums property sale but I just needed to be sure if I should add some of her sale documents and if yes, what exact documents to add??

Another question is , even if I want to explain the lump sum with her documents (e.g deed of sold property and receipt issued to the buyer) as well as backing it up with a gift deed to show that she gifted me,
Considering that the the property was sold NOT within the date on my bank statement… WILL it still be considered self funded application since the fund was already a gift to me ahead of time?

HELLO HOUSE

I WILL LIKE TO KNOW IF THIS SITUATION WILL BE TERMED SELF FUNDED OR SPONSORED??

LUMP SUM HAS BEEN IN MY ACCOUNT BEFORE SIX MONTHS, MEANING THAT IF I PRINT OUT MY 6 MONTHS STATEMENT THE LUMP SUM WILL NOT REFLECT ON THE SOA AS A DEPOSIT.

IS IT OKAY TO CONSIDER THIS HAS SELF SPONSORED?

With this double task you will mostly likely pay someone to help you out. Why not jump on it and explain the shit out yourself with receipts. If you still insist on contracting someone there are gurus here to help you out.

Good luck.

I can do that but I definitely need someone to review based on my circumstances

HELLO HOUSE

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND KINDLY ADVISE

I was recently applied for PPR and it was refused based on the discrepancies that arouse from the employment in my previous TRV application not aligning with the employment in the recent PPR application.

So i want to apply for a study permit and I’m trying to corroborate all the error I had made in the past with proper documentation and alignment for all my previous work/activities in the last 10 years.

This is where my SOP and LOE comes in…

ANY RECOMMENDATION FOR AN SOP ADVISOR OR WRITER?
