Iron heart, you have raised many points. Some reasonable, some disjointed. When i mentioned 'volunteering' as an option to those who may be idle or stuck at one particular kind of job for years with no tangible work experience, I did so because i was coming from the angle that rather than waiting for that dream job while the years run by, volunteering and broadening your scope as a young graduate in an already saturated job market, will be to your advantage at the end of the day.

The 5 or 7 years spent in the University struggling is no fault of your future employer, what that employer will need from you is the skill and know-how that will move his/her company forward. And if you do not have that, someone else with the skills needed will be employed. Nigerians are not lazy. But the sad truth will always stare at us because whether you admit it or not, many Nigerian graduates are unemployable. If a company takes you in at entry level, be sure that you will go through some intense training.

Volunteering is not such a bad thing, countries all over the world hold volunteers in high esteem, because the fill up a necessary gap that goes a long way in addressing very important issues and needs. But the experience and opportunities that come from volunteering is priceless. I was not suggesting you go and be a slave to anyone for nothing, but i offered that as a suggestion to graduates who really have nothing to hold on to. Maybe in your minds eye, you see it as sweeping the streets or working endlessly and tirelessly for one "oga" but in mine, i see it as contributing at the grass root level, collaborating and working in teams with organizations like UNDP, ECOWAS and VSO.

I just noticed that you mentioned something about the company that organised a job interview on Saturday. Why should an applicant who has not gotten the job be asked to pay a certain amount of money? Just imagine if Seun Osewa who has worked over years to build and improve Nairaland charged a certain amount daily to use the basic features this of forum, how would that turn out? I sense there is something else you are hinting at, but whatever the case may be, we all run our individual races differently at the end of the day.

The tel-communication companies are there to maximize profit.

I am not surprised with how that job interview turned out. It is time for youths to be pro-active and report scams like this. I would like to say, while waiting we should consider taking up volunteering opportunities. I know most of them do not pay, but the experience you will get is priceless and will add a boost to your C.V.

Let us see how this works out, I will post some recent volunteering opportunities. We will all get there someday. Stay strong and excel.

My 2nd problm is:I bought an expensive men's wristwatch on aliexpress and its not working and I don't know what to do.

Open dispute is the best option, write a very bad feed back for the seller and upload a picture of the product!

Hello, I am interested in raising rams but I want to start with 1 ram first and sell it off when it matures properly.

The things is I was told by a man who has several rams that a costs 15k and I would have to buy corn and some other things the ram will eat.

I am new to this and I would like to know if one can start with a ram that has already grown or get one that is still very young. I intend to juggle this with work to.

The dog is mainly for company. Someone in the compound actually carried him away, refused to say. Cant drag it with the person due to seniority. So i am just looking for the dog.

I have tried local petshops but to no avail. Asked around but nothing. He is about the right age to mate so I am thinking, maybe that is what he is being used for; and not that it is dead.

So incase you come across a breeder with american eskimos, do please help with a word.

Please, ask that person! Berger is really a busy place. Anyone could have taken the dog if it left your house on it's own.

Try and ask those guys who load vehicles from berger and please confront that person if you are very sure he took it.

please i need some information. I happened to buy some stuffs from asos which amounts to about 60k, items bought were shoes, bag and clothes and all of a sudden i received a mail that from skynet that i was to pay a custom charge of 30k on top items that was not up to 60k. On getting to there office, they were telling me that custom charges is 52% of the total cost of items. Is it true? cos i thin this is daylight robbery

There is this blog online, gingers note pad or something like that. On that blog alot of Nigerians who ordered from ASOS and had their stuff sent via Skynet had the same complaint - exhorbitant custom charges.

But I noticed that those who ordered one or two items were not charged as well as those who used free shipping - comes through the post office anyway.

Abeg no vex,can u remove Walmart frm there. All the thngs I eva bought frm there were fake. The cloths were of d lowest grades not 2mention d footwears.

They all buy frm China. I also bought frm almighty Kohl's store and their bags were made in China (even writtein on d label) and they didn't last as expected upon d price it was sold.

Lol.. no need to sue. Go to Area 10. I had the same challenge with my first parcel and I was directed to Area 1 when I got there, I met a woman who told me they saw my parcel and have sorted it out and were ready to send it to Area 10 where I have my P.O Box.. told her I can not go back there and it was almost time for closing.. They reluctantly looked for it and I collected it.

They have several attendants. with computers in Area 10, when you get there, give them your tracking number, that way they can tell you where you needto go and collect your stuff.

But for over a month, I have been charge 40k per second for every single call I make! How can this be rectified because I am being overcharged for reasons best known to the service provider.

even with po box u will still pay parcel clearance fee the only advantage is tht they will just pile up your slip in your box and when u get there u will have to go to the office to pay and get it..so doesnt make any difference...
