Im just so confuse at this point of time and i dont know what to do.Turn out to be, my bf's housemate had framed him. Long story there but anyways, it doesnt give the police rights to steal our entire house stuff. My bf said I should calm down and that its normal cause it has happen to many Africans living in the country just that for the 7 years he was lucky that it has never happened to him. And he thank God they only took all his stuff but at least they never did put drugs in his house and claimed that he is a drug dealer cause that would be the worst case.
and it has happen to other people before.

To be honest I would really like him to live in my hometown, my own birth place as its a peaceful island and everybody knows everybody including the police knows everybody and we know the police but the problem is that theres nothing for the both of us here. Its a small island we basically nothing here but old people. All the young ones had moved to the city to gain their success or to find opportunities. Its tough

Dos that mean one must have alot of cash before going there?

I know a hotel in the UK worth 20pounds a night. Thats considered cheap. My sister and her husband is going there this July and they are staying in that hotel,. Its called Tunes Hotel right in the middle of London.

190, Malaysia is not like Nigeria. No matter what tribe you're from, everything is still ok I guess.

over here, if you're not a Muslim, you dont get job opportunities, you dont get loans, you dont get scholarship, you wont get lands or properties. . . And the government will try all ways to get rid of the other religions and races. Now they are starting to put more boundaries towards Christianity. They are even legalizing illegal immigrants whom are Muslim into the country to increase the population of Muslim. Its that type of treatment. But what I cannot stand is the way the people treat my bf. It all makes it more impossible for us to get married. I am admitting it now, that is why we are not married. I am sick and tired of thinkign that everyday is going to be okay but its not!!!

Do not take any offense in what people have posted here. They are many types of Nairalanders to make up Nairaland and they will just comment for the fun of it. Publishing your picture on a general forum will definitely cause you to have many feedback, positive ones, negative ones and neutral ones. Everything is a risk when u did that. But you know, u could have posted your picture in your profile.

Our housemate whom happens to be a Nigerian has been in Malaysia for 3 months now studying here. He was walking on the street and the police stopped him and ask for RM500.00 which is like N240,000.00. He doesnt have that kinda money so they ask him for his passport. They were in Police uniform and all so he gave them his passport. The police than teared his passport to pieces and threw it in the dustbin.

And than they took him to the police station. Than they questioned him and they took all his personal information.

Than they went to the house together with our housemate where my bf stayed and they broke in and stole everything infront of my housemate's eyes from watches to Laptops to Printers and everything. When my bf and I returned home everything was gone. We went to the police station to launch a report and was shocked to see our housemate was there too. We ask him and he said the police took all of our belongings. We filed a complaint and they said there was no evidence to say that they stoled our items. My housemate told them that he was there and he saw it and they said if theres no black and white e3vidence, considered that we are all lying and harrasing the police.

And then they told my bf and I that if we want to release our housemate whom has no passport and has been declared as an illegal immigrant, we have to pay RM500.00 which is about N240,000.00. Otherwise he will maintain in ajil and will be ship to Thailand prison the following day. We payed the money and released him. My housemate called his school for help and the school said that we should just pay the money and forget about everything else. WTF!!!

Our housemate went to launch the complain to the NIgerian EMbassy in Malaysia but the embassy told him to pay corruption money about RM300.00  which is like N144,000.00 and than they can talk business otherwise he can just go and hug transformer.
