I’d advise you do your test on Thursday to avoid any unnecessary delays. There’s no reason to risk these things.

Simple advice to those that have not done their TB test, regardless of the time of your appointment, go there early, they mix up the names and appointment so you might be lucky to go in earlier than your appointment time.

Also, if you didn't receive an email after doing the manual booking, except God does a miracle, forget about collecting your certificate the same day, this is for those coming from outside Lagos.

I had printed out my bank statement on the 25/06/2021, now that I can’t do my biometrics today 16th and I intend to go Thursday 21st, is it still safe to use same bank statement or I should print a new one.

If the funds are still in the account and haven’t dropped at all, then I’d say print an updated version.

If the funds have moved, or printing a new statement is difficult then you can use the current one as it’s still within the 31 day timeline.

Go to the physical location.
Indicate you’d like to get an earlier date.
You’d likely be asked to wait till afternoon-maybe 1/2/3pm.
When they’re available, speak to a member of staff stating why you need the test conducted urgently.
You’d most likely be given an earlier date.

Please I need some answers regarding my UK student visa application.

My CAS really delayed (it took 6 weeks and 3 days) so I spent some of the money in my account and it has dropped below the required amount

However I printed my statement last week after the money has been in my account since April.

Will my balance be checked if I submit my application?

This is the requirement on how old your 28-day statement can be.

“ 28 days will be counted back from the closing balance and the closing balance cannot be more than 31 days old on the date of application. ”

What I would advise to be on the safe side is to ensure the balance covers the sum you need for proof of funds as at when you apply.

However do make sure that you apply within 31 days if you printing your statement.

@justwise pls what's the right amount to pay for day 2 and day 8 test package . A friend sent me a link to initiate my own order but I got £170 as price. My confusion now is that I have been seeing £210 pounds as price for the test package on this thread. Pls am I doing something wrong or has the price for the test package been reduced.

I have an IOM booking for August 18th but it's too far. I have called their contact lines and they said I should send an email as to why I need a closer date. But it seems like these guys don't reply their emails cos I have sent a lot.

I'm presently in Enugu and thinking of traveling to Lagos by the weekend so that I can go there myself and sort things out. What do you advice?

Strongly suggest you go there yourself and wait till afternoon when you can see a member of staff and request an earlier date directly.

Went to IOM Lagos and with significant patience and humility I was able to get a date for July.

My advice to anyone who doesn’t have a date yet and wants to join the September resumption cycle is to sort out TB testing date ASAP, as further delay is dangerous.

Well, it might work. I got a positive response from the IOM Nigeria upon inquiry about this.
Then, on getting to the IOM in another country, I was specifically advised not to do it with them since the visa application will not be done in that country to avoid refusal.

This is my advice, write IOM Nigeria about your complaints as regards early testing. Again, book for any date available, make a payment.


Send all this information to IOM Nigeria via email. (Attached the proof of payment, passport, reference number) and humbly request for an early date. In fact, you can put your desire date.

Just compose the message very well. You will definitely get a response after the regular auto-reply.
I did this and I was given an earlier date.

I’m trying to book an appointment for tuberculosis testing and it seems like both Lagos and Abuja are fully booked. Is it possible to do the test in another country and still apply for Tier 4 visa from Nigeria? Or is there a possibility that slots will free up in Lagos/Nigeria later?
