Congratulations to the EFCC; it is never an easy feat to get a conviction under this environment. The Judge should be applauded for ordering restitution of the money. The only dark blemish I saw was the easy landing.

People like Maina deserve to serve the maximum judgement - 14 years. Maina, through his actions had sent lot of pensioners to their untimely death, the judge should not have been moved by his silly mercy plea.

Obi Cubana has finally been released after spending 3 days at EFCC cell.

He perfected his bail conditions this evening and was allowed to go home.

His International psssport is still with EFCC and he is expected to be reporting to EFCC office for now till further notice.

It is you that have serious deficiency in understanding how the law works; releasing him DOES NOT mean he is free from the charges, reason why he is placed under bail conditions. He will eventually have his days in court. It is up to the judge to determine if he is to be convicted or acquitted based on the arguments by both sides in court.
