He has the right to contest and I have the right to vote against him. Nigeria is fast lacking good leaders we can even choose from - Tinubu, Jonathan, Saraki, Atiku etc. Jonathan, despite his holocaust years still toying with vying for the highest office again. Someone that in saner climes will be chilling in prison. |
yomi531:Dont underestimate any team. Classic example - Algeria vs Sierria Leone. No one saw the result coming |
Saidu Sanusi. He frustrated Sallah. |
The unsung hero - Saidu Sanusi - he said it and delivered. He put Sallah inside his pocket. |
Aribo is such a fantastic player. Good balance on the ball |
I havent seen the work of Chukwueze...Moses is a good player but with terrible finishing. Taiwo Awoniyi is just there. |
I am wishing Nigeria happy sail against the Pharaoh of Egypt |
BF plays better than Cameroonians, sadly they pressed the self destruct buttonn |
slawormiir:Careless talk and write up like this has landed people in Jail. You are actively and publicly planning to assassinate the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. This is beyond what your freedom of speech can cover. I hope the relevant security agencies pick up your case and track you to be scapegoated to others as silly as you. |
HardMirror:Bible doesn't state exclusively how you can spice up your sex life. It's up to you . Someone said couples should go and pray to improve their sex life. That sounds so ridiculous. It is not everything you pray about. You need to act for some situation to move. Moses didn't pray for the Israelites to disappear from the clutch of Pharaoh, he confronted Pharaoh and led the Israelites out of Egypt on foot. People always say what they feel without reference to the bible. Don't let us be holier than Pope. We always appear too churchy and Godly in Africa, one of the bane of our present situation. |
Kriss216:There could be underlining ailments. Stop demonising the country. |
Airboy333:Very encouraging. I will keep the house posted when my brother gets approved. Then we can get a bit of insight into how they work over there. It will be so strange if getting approval from USCIS takes 8 months as someone mentioned in this thread. |
Somalino:April !!. Has your petition been approved by USCIS ? Thats serious!. My brother's fiance petitioned on September 2021, that means my bro should go and sleep...lol |
Airboy333:Many thanks. NOA2 has not been given as USCIS has yet to approve. We will wait fot that. Thanks |
LakesidesNG:Are you using receipt number as well? Do you have a case number yet? You are lucky, you are awaiting your file to be transferred to the US embassy in Lagos. |
ENGINEERG:In your heart of heart, do you believe all these statistics being churned out in Nigeria? How did they arrive at the conclusion? Dont get me wrong, the stats could even be worse or better but we all know that someone somewhere just manufactured stats in Nigeria. For instance, how did they measure employment rate in a country with no credible database?. |
Hello All. My brother's fiance (US citizen) filed for a fiance visa on September 20 for my brother. Receipt was acknowledged on September 23, 2021 and a Receipt number (starting with WAC....) was sent via text message. Till date, no case number or anything. We used the receipt to track on this website, - https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do - and "Case was received" message acknowledging the receipt of the petition was displayed. Is this normal? How soon does it take to get a case number or is the receipt number the same as case number? January 23, 2022 will make the 4th month and nothing has been heard. Can someone with a similar experience please responsd. Thanks |
Tumbulum:You are still wailers, and you will continue to be. As painful as it feels, common sense dictates that the size of govt and both state and federal workers are not sustainable. Aside from the fact that most of these workers are bringing nothing to the table, they have turned the jobs to side hustle, Nigeria is constantly bogged down by these recurrent expenses. The Civil service should be repositioned to contribute positively to the economy of the state and federal purse. Their promotions ought to be based on some clearly defined benchmarks. The severance package should be realistic with the economic realities so that these workers can even start something in term of business. Even oil companies and other blue chips organisation in the world do this. Great leaders are not shy to take decisions that are not convenient or difficult. The long term, overall interest of the nation should always come first. |
thesicilian:The train will pay for itself. The road will be tolled and pay for itself too. Let us be open to good things. Not nice being a cynic. |
Lekan Balogun disrespected the stool he is anticipating to mount. His reign will most probably be filled with disrespect to the throne with divisions. |
mabea:Restructuring is such a loose word. You need to be specifics when you are talking about restructuring. Different people and politicians have different selfish definitions for their own restructuring. When you mention restructuring, can you please be more specific what you want to really restructure because lot of people just mention the words without even understanding it. |
heniford2:The FG has done its bit. It has been sent to the State House of Assemblies of each state to domesticate. Unfortunately, they are puppets in the hands of the Governors and that is where everything dies. The State House of Assemblies refuse to debate it and domesticate. The Governors will not let them do it and there is nothing the presidency can do about it, |
DubaiLandLord:Till the Monsters of Governors we have in Nigeria let go of the 3rd tier of Government. It is a big shame to the Governors really. Killing another legal tier of Government. Sadly, it is the presidency that people talk about leaving out the selfish Governors, who are directly in charge of Monthly state allocation given to each state, and the puppet state house of assemblies. Before you criticise the Presidency, have you asked your State Governors how they spend the Monthly State Allocation given to your states. Is your State House Assemblies performing the roles of Checks and Balances?? |
heniford2:Nigerians always rush to cite example of US when it is convenient but refuse to act like the Americans as citizens. It is obvious Governors are more evil than the President. They have technically killed the Local Govt despite all interventions from different quarters, sitting on their monies and milking the LG dry. What has Governors done with the Monthly state security allocation, squander it. Having state police will create 36 different monsters in all the states. I align with the President, I am totally against it. |
FarahAideed:Don't be an ignoramus. It happens in the western world as well. |
Kingbenn:Are you more aligned to an arrangement where kings must come from particular families and other families must serve the royal family?. To me, that's not a fair arrangement, where some elites restrict the kingship to their families alone. Ibadan has no royal family. I love that. They are all equal and all ibadan children are potentially heirs to the throne IF such children can follow the laid down procedure. To me, that fairness and equity. |
All these gated estates are violating freedom of movement. Most of them have put gates to public access roads thereby putting pressures on some roads and causing gridlock. It's a violation of fundamental right of movement as enshrined in the constitution. You can put security detail to your private apartment but not public access road. The police too goofed. Why not prosecute them having had evidence that they committed an offence? Why releasing them due to intervention of some "notable" people? That's a serious indictment on the CP as well. |
ajbabs:Nice and intellectual submission but I disagree that there is no true sons and daughters of Ibadan. If not, why do we have "Omo ale Ibadan" - Ibadan bastard. Once you have a traceable village and agbo ile in Ibadan, you are a true son or daughter of Ibadan. |
Falae should go and sit down somewhere. We know his antecedent in history. A traitor. |
ThatFairGuy1:You are partially correct. Olubadan and Oba of Lagos are not one of the descendants of Oduduwa, thus, they are not in the same league as ooni , alaafin, awujale, soun, oba of Benin, olowo of Owo etc. However, you can't rank Ooni of ife ahead of Alaafin of Oyo. Same way you can't rank Alaafin ahead of Ooni of Ife. Alaafi is the last born and he believes the current Ooni is a usurper of the throne. He believes when their father died, and none of his children was at home, Ooni who used to be their father's Aboore took over the throne. So the argument of supremacy will continue forever between Alaafin of Oyo and Ooni of Ife. |
Krismas:I want to believe so too. Lekan Balogun will be the next Olubadan bar any challenge. |
OlujobaSamuel:Ibadan system is unique and different in the whole of Africa. All their sons and daughters are born Princes and Princesses. There is no royal family in Ibadan, as obtained in other states. Once your parents are from Ibadan, you are entitled to the throne of Olubadan if you can follow the succession line. |

that's the problem
Olubadan did not endorse Ladoja wit d prayer. It takes more dan prayer to select an Olubadan. The prayer was for long life, so he too cud be an Olubadan.
