Everyday247: massive immigration of our people and people from other countries to the UK (probably)
This will make them extend ILR to 10 years.
I can’t imagine what will happen psychologically to those on COS care work , looking towards next year for their ILR which will make them abandon the care jobs. It will be devastating to say the least.
Powersurge: Naira is not gaining at the moment. USD is weakening.
Either dollar loses values or naira gains, it doesn’t matter. The quoted amount is the true value of the naira as against the dollars.
That’s how economics works.
Do some of you even know that when dollar loses a value, the manufacturers in the US becomes happier as it stimulates the economy. Do you know that it’s a curse for a nation for its own currency to be very stronger against other world currencies? Do you even understand the reason why the Chinese manipulate their currencies by intentionally devaluing it?
amstamon: You came to my house, destroyed 20 boxes, and tried arranged 5 boxes.tell me why I should praise you for the 5 boxes you've arranged? Pls only quote me if your reply or analysis correlate with the instance[s] I just gave without sentiments as a true and patriotic Nigerian that you claimed
That 20 boxes you have been using were not yours. It has to be destroyed or taken away, and replaced with the 5 boxes that truly belong to you.
You have been living under the illusion that you had 20 boxes. No, because they were not yours . You wrongly assumed you were wealthy. You were simply living a fake life. The true measure of your wealth was the 5 boxes that truly belong to you.
There is a huge difference between being rich and appearing to be rich.
If you want to truly own 20 boxes, go out and work harder to buy more boxes which you can now claim as your legitimate possession. You have been behaving like a spoilt brat for many years, now, you need to face your new realities and stop sulking around like a toddler. Double up your hustle to truly claim the 20 boxes you coveted. The old path only leads to destruction and not sustainable.
Westman001: "Fooled by the term developed" Are you saying they are not developed? Hm? Most of their citizens have that amount. Some of them might not, which is normal.
Still, the country has the highest number of richest people. It's normal for them to homeless people. Millions of people pour into the US even without knowing anybody there.
Obviously, you have not been out of the country before. I understand. The reality will hit you in the face, probably when you hop on the plane and see the reality on ground.
Westman001: It'll do them a lot of financial help. Even Ghana accepted the deal and received their own payment. Then they went ahead and drop those deportee in Togo and others without giving them anything to get to their country.
$5.1m is 88,317,516.00 estwani currency (swazi lilangeni)
So, in your mind, Ghana has done well - selling their african brothers for crumbs?
Westman001: It's good to be bold. I don't see anything wrong with the bond fee.
The truth there is, it is a citizen moving from a developed nation to a third world country. I don't see them having problem paying whatever legal bond fee Mali is asking.
How much is it they are demanding? If the US say Malians that wants to do business must have $2000 - $5000 in bond fee. The highest Mali would go is ask for maybe $20,000 - $100,000 bond fee. For someone coming from the richest country in the world, I don't see any hurt that would do them.
At the bolded, don't be fooled by the term "developed" nation. Most of their citizens do not have 2000USD in their accounts. They have to go and take loan to fund their trips.
Richest country is different from richest citizen. US has arguably the largest homeless people in the world.
Hhh4444: Even if I'm saving 2million monthly,I will still travel. When Nigeria happens to you, that money will not be able to save you.
When abroad happens to you , it is worse than when a Nigeria happens to you. You will be freezing in the cold, homeless, without anyone showing you mercy.
When abroad happens to you, Nigeria will immediately become your new paradise.
Mrchippychappy: Ask oyibo how dey feel about enriching their generation with money from slavery and they would tell you they have no reason to feel bad about it infact they even sing the praise of their ancestors for enslaving others.
The point is, I don't encourage crime but at least repay the favour to those who did you evil, instead of doing it to your own people
I thought you typed this out - "I don't encourage crime ".
Ginomel: Are you aware that Ukraine is not a member of NATO.
Let Russia attack any member of NATO. you will understand more.
What makes you think Russia didn't want Ukraine to be a member.
The mistake Ukraine made was not joining. NATO earlier like Sweden before the war broke out.
I think the mistake Ukraine made was handling over their nuclear weapon to Russia after being being assured by the US and UK that they would come to their defence in the future.
When the dust settles, I am sure Ukraine would secretly develop a nuclear weapon, and that will be a real game changer.
Think of it, most of the followers of all these billionaires behave like zombies.
How will anyone ask me to cancel a thing and I will do it. Does he own my mind?
These people have so much power and followership that that they can instruct their followers to start killing and the whole place will be turned into an abbatoir.
omoredia: Some clowns were rejoicing when he was displaced as world's richest man few weeks back. CNN is in tears now lol. Money na una make. Person wey get money dey talk him mind. It is the poor that have two mouth cos they lack character even before lacking money
You should be asking how his wealth affects you.
You have no business with knowing who occupies what position when it has no bearing on your own life.
Avedonn: Most banks think permanent staff are too expensive, so they hire a lot of temporary contract workers. Personally, I think working in a bank is like living in a dream world that's bound to collapse. Once they've gotten all they can from you, they let you go whether you're permanent or not. They often use age to grade as an excuse to remove people.
To make things worse, many bankers get used to a flashy lifestyle to impress others. So when they suddenly lose their job, they find it very hard to cut back on their spending and end up in a tough spot.
Spot on. You are very correct with the bolded. That is the plain truth
dgitrader: I doubt this figure. It's definitely over 55%. Someone isn't telling the truth.
Especially in Branch Operations, your can have 6 core staff, while the over 15 others working as contract staff, I am not even counting drivers, security, cleaners, sales markerters, only transaction operations workers.
And it's a very very dirty business by the bank directors/top management. Through indirect ownership of recruitment firms, they eat 35% of the income due to this hardworking staff. AND some of this contract staff have more experience and efficiency than few of the core staff. They are just unfortunate to be employed and trapped(for years with no benefits, pension, insurance, etc) with lesser qualifications like OND.
This is a word on marble. Well captured. You have the inside knowledge
