Most banks think permanent staff are too expensive, so they hire a lot of temporary contract workers. Personally, I think working in a bank is like living in a dream world that's bound to collapse. Once they've gotten all they can from you, they let you go whether you're permanent or not. They often use age to grade as an excuse to remove people.

To make things worse, many bankers get used to a flashy lifestyle to impress others. So when they suddenly lose their job, they find it very hard to cut back on their spending and end up in a tough spot.

Especially in Branch Operations, your can have 6 core staff, while the over 15 others working as contract staff, I am not even counting drivers, security, cleaners, sales markerters, only transaction operations workers.

And it's a very very dirty business by the bank directors/top management. Through indirect ownership of recruitment firms, they eat 35% of the income due to this hardworking staff. AND some of this contract staff have more experience and efficiency than few of the core staff. They are just unfortunate to be employed and trapped(for years with no benefits, pension, insurance, etc) with lesser qualifications like OND.

Cuz any man who has left a leaky roof unfixed for years doesn't deserve the house in the first place and would be seen as an unserious fellow.

African countries, most especially, Sub-sahara, need to start respecting themselves before asking to be respected.

I will be interested to know why the UK Government would be paying a child 600 pounds per child. For parents who are not earning enough, the UK Govt pays the parent child benefit, which is 22 pounds per week (which is quite low in an environment like the UK). The only reason I can figure out is if the person is on full benefits, which is a position you should not wish for. It means you don't have jobs or your kids are disable (which range between 29.20 pounds to 187.45 pounds per week, depending on the degree of disabilities) , which means they are being paid disability allowance. They are not good position anyone reasonable should wish for.

Out of curiousity, why was he quoting in dollars when he resides in the UK?
