There are so many disgusting slaves in this thread. Expatriates keep flooding Nigeria. Returnees are seriously yearning to be back home. Lebanese and Indians would do anything to be awarded Nigerian citizenship. During general elections, we know those who stay glued to Channels TV like their lives depend on it. Where I stay in Nigeria, there we could have light for days unending. Government water runs inside my house fairly regularly. There is no traffic. The roads are tarred. The streets are clean - swept everyday by dedicated sweepers. Food is cheap. Rent is fair. Education is cheap. Life is easy. What more can I ask for Stop judging Nigeria based on some cities. Some places in Nigeria are far better than abroad... |
Politics › Re: The 1952 Nigeria Ethnicity Census Result by MuchAdo: 11:24pm On May 22, 2020 |
Igboid: Ask Nigeria. They will not publish the result of state-of- origin, only state of residence. They can even use BVN like you said to determine the population of ethnic groups, but they wouldn't. The result of such I suppose would not be favourable to the owners of one Nigeria. They won't publish it because of perpetual ranters like you. Yet several stats continue show that the Igbos are least populated of the big 3. |

Politics › Re: The 1952 Nigeria Ethnicity Census Result by MuchAdo: 11:14pm On May 22, 2020 |
Igboid: Nope. PVC is calculated based on where a voter registered. If I'm an Igbo and registered in Bida, it would be counted for Niger state and not Anambra. When registering for PVC, they collect your state and local government of origin. Same goes for BVN and NIN registration. So how won't they have an idea of ethnic group population |

I think one of them was Sierra Leone President. Okoro may be Urhobo Even then, the Igbos there are quite negligible unlike the Yorubas. |
Politics › Re: The 1952 Nigeria Ethnicity Census Result by MuchAdo: 11:05pm On May 22, 2020 |
Igboid: Doctored Census results you mean?
By the way, recent census results only have states of residence and not ethnicity or even state of origin. Sure, whatever doesn't favour the Igbos is doctored. Come on, state of residence is still a proposal. What we have currently is state of origin even on our PVC. |

Igboid: We lost millions in slave trade to Americas and recovered well. We are Igbos. Our society is built to quickly regenerate lost population, we have Omenala in place to ensure that. Moreover, not many Biafran adults died. Biafran soldiers killed more Nigerian soldiers. People that died in Biafra in millions were mainly children who died of starvation following the Nigerian starvation policy.
They were quickly replaced by their parents after the war. If anything, Igbo population post civil war experienced a population boom!
Is Chukwu not wonderful? Self delusion is allowed. However, the reality is that the south east is least populated based on the most recent census. |
Politics › Re: The 1952 Nigeria Ethnicity Census Result by MuchAdo: 10:53pm On May 22, 2020 |
hammerP: [s][/s]
That 2 to 3 million Biafra war is not an excuse.
We lost far more to the transatlantic slave trade.
The point is Igbo had already established a massive population capable of multiplying quickly.
And one of our women after the Biafra war had at least 9 children.
It is recently that we cut it down to 4 or 5.
Even in your south west, if u check every state, Igbo are the second largest group. If wishes were horses, Igbos will ride. Most tribes in the south lost their people to the slave trade. You have Yoruba all over the Caribbean, Brazil & Sierra Leone till tomorrow. But as regards the civil war loss, it's so huge, Igbos can't recover from it hence recording the least population in the 2004 census. It's similar to the Russians whose population has been stagnant over the years after losing 25million during WWII. |

I get am before no be property.
Igbos lost tens of thousands pre-1967 and between 2 and 3 million during the civil war.
No nation recovers from such human loss.
If you are in doubt, ask Russia @Pazienza

raker300: Yorubas are the purveyors of tribalism in Nigeria.
The first recorded case of tribalism was from a Yoruba called “akintola”
Akintola’s vitriol against an igbo man appointed as VC even though he was the most qualified.
To this very day, their leaders and public office holders have openly instigated tribalism without repercussions.
A more recent escapade was the violent disenfranchisement of igbo voters in Lagos, 2019 @bolded How dare Igbos hold elective positions in Lagos |
