Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu’s son, Babajide, has tested positive for the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19).

It was gathered that the Ondo state governors son has since gone into self-isolation.

“The governor’s son is already in self-isolation as required by the guidelines of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.”

Babajide is the Secretary of the Response Fund Committee on COVID-19 set up by the state government a few months ago.

Naija News reports that the governor had last month contracted and recovered from COVID-19.

Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has kept his promise to meet with ‘mommy calm down’ internet sensation, Oreofeoluwa Lawal-Babalola.

Last month, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu expressed his desire to meet little Preofeoluwa after his ‘calm down’ video went viral.

He noted that the exchange between the little boy and his mother was funny, adding that it depicts the efforts parents put in moulding children into responsible adults.

Governor Sanwo-Olu met the boy and his family yesterday, and he utilized the opportunity to reiterate the need for Lagosians to keep calm and follow all the COVID-19 safety measures.

A woman's convoy of cars heading towards revolution now rally was detained in Lagos. The woman was seen protesting against the injustice and rights violation meted to them by the police. The cars were stopped on the Apogbon Bridge by several units of Nigerian police men according to the voice on the video. Some of the policemen were seen confronting one of the women in the convoy.

The Governor of Beirut has said that 300,000 people have been left homeless after an enormous explosion tore across the city, killing at least 135 people and wounding thousands.

Marwan Abboud added that around half of the city had been damaged by the explosion, amid warnings that the death toll was likely to raise far beyond 100, with many victims still trapped under rubble.

It also emerged on Wednesday afternoon that 85 per cent of grain stocks in Lebanon, which relies heavily on food imports, were destroyed. This would suggest the country only has enough grain to last for another month.

The Lebanese government announced it would be placing all those it held responsible for the port of Beirut under house arrest while their investigation continues.

Smoke continued to rise over the flattened port area, while in the city some people were still searching for missing loved ones. At least 5,000 people were wounded, overwhelming hospitals.

The death toll could rise further, the head of the Lebanese Red Cross George Kettaneh said.

The cause of the blast remains unclear, though Lebanese leaders said it was likely down to explosive substances that had been stored at warehouses in the port for years.

Interior Minister Mohammed Fahmi told local media the blast was likely triggered by more than 2,700 tonnes of ammonium nitrate. The industrial chemical, used for fertiliser, had been stored at a warehouse at the dock since it was unloaded from a seized cargo ship in 2014, he said.

The orange cloud that towered over the city following the blast was indicative of nitrate explosions, experts said, and suggested the release of toxic nitrogen dioxide into the air.

It appeared to be the most powerful blast ever felt in this city despite it having endured the 1975-90 civil war, a 1983 suicide attack on the United States embassy that killed 63 people and a bombing of the peacekeepers headquarters in the same year, and a massive truck bomb in 2005 that killed its former prime minister

Britain said on Wednesday it was too early to speculate on the cause. Only US President Donald Trump seemed to suggest it could have been a possible attack.

A minister in the Lord's Chosen Church has been accused of raping two underaged sisters for years and finally impregnating them under the guise of casting out badluck from them. Pastor Nduka Anyanwu, who ministers in the Lord's Chosen Church, Canaan Land branch in Oshodi, allegedly impregnated the sisters aged 17 and 13.

According to an NGO known as Stop The Abuse, Nduka allegedly began raping the younger girl when she was just 9 and began raping the older girl when she was 16. They also alleged that the parents of the girls knew but allowed the pastor to carry on because he told them it's the only way he could remove the "spiritual mark" on them that "repels good things".

When he was eventually nabbed by a team of advocates from Stop The Abuse Foundation, the parents of the girls allegedly tried to defend him. The parents refused his arrest based on the fact that he's a man of God and he has already promised to marry their older daughter.According to the NGO, the pastor said that he wants the older sister to keep the pregnancy and he'll marry her but asked that the younger sister aborts her pregnancy because what happened between them was a mistake. Police officers at the Makinde Police Station arrested the pastor and he's now in their custody.

Stop The Abuse Foundation wrote: Pastor Nduka Anyanwu who should be better known as Pastor Penis has allegedly raped and impregnated two sisters aged 17 and 13 years and has said he wants the older girl to keep the pregnancy because he wants to marry her but that the younger one should abort her own pregnancy as sexually defiling her was a mistake which he regretted even though he has had carnal knowledge of her uncountable times.The wicked pastor who claims he is a minister from the Lord's Chosen Church , Canaan land branch, Oshodi has been sexually defiling the younger girl since she was 9 years old and the older girl since she was 16 years under the pretext that she had a spiritual mark on her body that repels good things and the only way to remove the mark was to have carnal knowledge of her. She refused vehemently and reported to her parents who insisted that she must accept.

Drama however ensued when a team of advocates from Stop The Abuse Foundation and Child Advocates and Vulnerable Person's Network tried to get him arrested with the help of policemen from Makinde Police Station,Oshodi. The parents of the survivors adamantly refused the arrest of the abuser because he is a man of God and has already promised to marry their older daughter. He was eventually arrested by the determined police officers who refused to be compromised. Thanks to the DPO of Makinde Police Station and his able and gallant police officers.

Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale has slammed a Metro TV presenter for negative comments about his feature with international music star Beyoncé.

Shatta Wale who was one of the African artistes that Beyonce featured on her “Lion King” The Gift” album recently featured on the music video for the song, Already.

A video that surfaced online sees the Metro TV presenter identified as Jackie discussing the collaboration between the Ghanaian dancehall act and the American singer with her co-host.

In the video, Jackie is heard saying “but she (Beyonce) didn’t even choose well.”

The video appears to have been recorded months back when the album was first released because the presenters also talked about Beyonce not being interested in featuring Shatta Wale in a video.

In his reaction to the comments, Shatta Wale blasted the presenters as “fools” and blamed pride as the reason why Ghanaian media doesn’t go far.

Shatta Wale wrote:

“See fools in Ghana, no wonder our media don’t go anywhere, always talking with so much pride of foolishness.”

He added:

“A woman like you can say sh*t about your own fellow woman, I blame your makeup foolish girl!! Illiterate”.

Shortly after the release of The Lion King: The Gift album, Shatta Wale basked in the glory of his feature on the album.

The dancehall artiste while speaking during an interview has compared his voice on the track, “Already” to that of multiple Grammy award-winning songstress, Celine Dion.

According to him, his feature on the track has not only presented him with the opportunity for more international projects but he has also been receiving commendations about his voice.

On having a silky voice like Celine Dion, Shatta Wale said:
