Are there any follow up courses after graduation for the officers who graduate from the NDA? The answer is no. The NDA is a basic officer training school. Subsequently officers will either attend war college for their staff promotions, Indtitute of Strategic Studies, Kuru or apply to foreign Universities abroad for their masters or doctorates.

Does the NDA award masters or doctoral certificates?

Is there any university in the world that doesn't offer post graduate studies? Or do you think the main task of universities is churning out BSC holders like what we have in Nigeria?

America is not happy with Nigeria's cosy economic and diplomatic relations with China.

At the crux of this is Nigeria's refusal to allow for the location of AFRICOM base in the gulf of Guinea (Calabar). AFRICOM has been touted by the US as a quick military intervention base to conflicts in West, central and North Africa as well as to combat piracy, drug trafficking and oil theft on the west African sub region. This is all bullshit of course given that the US through their past antecadants and response to regional conflicts like in Liberia and Sierria Leone don't give a rat's azz about promoting peace in the sub region or African continent at large. If anything, the US can be accused of fomenting anarchy and civil war in the continent just like how they trained, equipped and backed Charles Taylor and Yomie Johnson in Liberia. Their role in Angola and the Congo civil conflicts is well documented since far back in the 60's.

The greatest problem in Washington is not Kim Jong getting Nukes for North Korea (which in my book is "best" Korea ) or stoping the lunatics in ISIS who they created alongside Al Qaeda or is it in anyway ensuring global peace but the greatest fear in washington is checkmating China's economic and bilateral in roads into Africa - the last great economic frontier. This is why AFRICOM is so crucial to American continental policy with Africa.

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA)
at Kaduna is the only Military University In Nigeria.

The NDA was established in January 1964 as a reformation of the British runRoyal Military Forces Training College(RMFTC), which had been renamed the Nigerian Military Training College (NMTC) on independence.

The military institution trains the officer corps of the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force. The initial class was only 62 cadets, and trainers were mostly officers in theIndian Army.

The NDA grew to an all Nigerian training staff only in 1978.[1] In 1981 itself began training bilateral training of foreign militaries.

In 1985 the academy commenced offering undergraduate programmes to Military Officers In Training and now also currently offers post graduate studies both for Msc and Ph.D for both military and civilian students alike.

The central mission remains the five year cadet officer training "Regular Combatant Course", although from 2002, a four year military programme is also offered.

As of 2008, its total cadet class is around 1500.

The federal character bullsh1t is what is causing all this rubbish.

If any agency wants to conduct employment they send a letter to all the state governors requesting candidates.

They do this to both ensure federal character and also curry favor from these politicians. The governors, senators, all have slots.

At the end of the day employment into the civil service is now strictly on "man know man" basis with hardly any merit attached.

If an organization is requesting for professionals but the governor only has people who did not study the relevant course, provisions will be made in the spirit of federal character to include the governors candidate. This is usually the case which leads to an over bloated support staff base who end up playing solitaire and Zuma in between using free wifi to update their narsistic Facebook status without doing a single productive job or adding value to the system.
