Now bolt have accomplished what they wanted.

It now means drivers are now more like zombies.
Modern day Slavery.

Drivers don't know the power they possess yet.

That's why Bolt is using them to play ping pong.

With inDriver and Rida, I am in control of my movement for the day and still pay their commission conviniently without stress
CelebritiesRe: Which Celebrity's Death Pained You The Most? by Muhammadson2020:
Kobe Bean Bryant : AKA the Black Mamba pained me the most. That Sunday afternoon When CNN announced it I could not believe it, it was just like film. I couldn't sleep that night. I was crying in my dream and tears came out of my eyes physically on my bed that night. It was as if I lost someone so close to me. The only time I felt that way was when I lost my mum.

I wished it was a rumour. Kobe inspired me Alot, his never give up mentality help me achieve some great things in life I have today. He never gives up in any competition. He always wants to win, He has this mental toughness very similar to Michael Jordan.

So unfortunate he died a horrible death. He died in Helicopter crash with his with loving daughter GiGi.

May his Soul continually Rest in Peace

My own is to set records straight and make logical arguments. If u make false claim, I dey here to correct u, except I no sabi d truth.
At my age I wouldn't demystify myself engaging in an unnecessary argument with you on this thread. We built Bolt to this level u staffs are enjoying now. All my previous post nah packaging. If u don't get it, forget about it.

Let me just allow this issue slide and move to other things more important.

Lolz ..I laugh in pigin...u r obviously a novice or a newbie.
What are you saying? Indriver and Rida are making life easier for Drivers?? Bia are you a driver, reader or a journalist.

Yea...I know DiDi Is planning to come to Nigeria but that's not the competition I would love. Infact, DiDi will make things worst like Indrive is doing.
I prefer an American or European Company like Lyft. They are the ones that value work, services and human effort but if we say all everybody should port to a better company with better fares people like u will still jump on cheap fares.
Uber tried to maintain their stand on pricing and to give drivers a better chance but people jumped to Bolt that brought prices down and they had no choice than to run after d crowd.
U r just running your mouth whether u r a driver or a rider or u can't even afford a Bolt ride, when the chips are down u will be nowhere to be found.

Back to why I quoted u, I just thought u r someone who is a regular commenter on this thread but recently decided to post with a different monicker. Hence, I humorously said u should identify yourself. I thought wrong.
The likes of Romeo, Ogunvic, Ifeanyi Mark and I and so on were the first set of drivers to sign up with BOLT in 2015 when they were still in 2 bed room office at Admiralty beside Forte oil Lekki phase 1.

That's like 7 years back. Then Uche, Femi and Nonso the founders of BOLT use to beg us on their knees to register with Bolt. They were ones training drivers. No employees like u guys back then, just 3 of them running the whole thing. Now dem don get money bought a very big office at SALEM. Employ staffs like u and Spread across to other states in N geria

Bro we made Bolt what it is today. I smiled when u said I am newbie. "Ki lo omode Mo" pathetic assumption sad . Nah our sweat Bolt take grow into Big brand yet no good compensation to drivers. Drivers are working like elephant and earning like ants. They only make good money during festive periods.

Bolt fares used to be much higher then and 15% commission was there share. 50k was weekly rentals drivers pay to car owners. Drivers can make 100k in 2 days during winter period. Now they reduced their fares, introduced cash discount and increase commission to 25%. Is that a growth or decline for Drivers? That's absolutel punishment and sufferness.

Let me correct you on this, we all moved to Bolt because Uber reduced their fares by 40% in 2017 April 17th, there was a massive protest at National stadium, But Uber remained adamant that they would make their fare as cheap as small chops. Drivers angrily left their platform, Now they are shadow of themselves. Bolt took advantage of this situation and launch their brand into prominence. And Bolt fare was far better than Uber as at that time.

As per you preferring Lyft coming to Nigeria to compete with Bolt, I dont think they will succeed. I don't see them adjusting their policies to suit Nigerian market. Nigerian business environment too harsh for foreign multi national to thrive. Uber is an example, the reason why they lost so many drivers today is because of their useless American policies in an African market where alot factors works against businesses. It's only the Chinese that can compete with Bolt, these guys understand any business environment they find themselves. Dudi is already giving Bolt a run for their money in S.A. Alot of drivers are leaving Bolt platform over there.

Abeg tell your Oga "Uche" that boys are not smilling. We are not happy with the fares. There is hyper inflation in country at moment. Things don cost. But fares are not increasing, still remains the same. How will drivers survive. Alot of them are living hand to mouth. No financial progress year in year out dem dey where dem dey.

Reveal yourself...why are you using a new monicker?
Like someone said, u re a Bolt agent here to spy and rip of information from hard working drivers. Una cup go soon full one day. You think u can monopolize the market for a longtime. inDriver, Rida and other apps are making things easier, u guys are busy making life difficult for drivers with cheap cheap fares and high commission and useless policy.

Let me burst your brain, One of the biggest ehailing app in China is coming to Nigeria very soon. We will leave your useless app the way we left Uber years ago. Una go employ una staffs Las Las to move Lagos.

Useless, ungrateful, insensitive shady App coy

Una time of reign will soon be over.

I no gree update o ..I know two people that was blocked today for the driver's score and they were asked to retake online class...
Bolt no want make boys dey select trips again, They introduce driver score so that driver will literally do every trips that comes their way whether to bad places or good places. They know if they keep using rating, drivers will reject useless and unprofitable trips and still maintain high Rating. With this new feature, drivers performance is not base on rating again but amount of trips they do.

Bolt expects drivers to be doing ₦500 trips with AC fully on in this Present state of Economy. They burn fuel on a short trip and still being paid peanuts. ₦500 trips they have been charging since 7 years ago. Like prices of goods and services hasn't increased. Which auto parts or accessories can ₦500 buy in this Present dispensation ? Nothing!!!

They expect drivers to take their car to bad roads and damage it and still pay them commission of 25% all in the name of Drivers score. That's not f**king possible. Cars part prices now is killing. Tokunbo tyres that I use to buy for 7k is now 15k, not to talk of other spare parts.

This new feature is to enslave drivers the more, it is inhumane and barbaric.

I don't support it.

Am I the only one having a hard time keeping up with this new “driver score” feature?

If you’ve not updated your app to show this, please just don’t!

We’re actually not ready for this kind of thing in nigeria coz riders cancel for the wrong reasons and don’t even read the options and select anything thereby affecting your driver score.

Sighs….
Lemme get my Uber app functional just in case.
Which one be drivers score again, Na new rating system?

I would believe you if you posted this in 2007. Just get abreast with present day reality before drawing a blanket conclusion.

12-15M in this present Nigeria, can only build you a three bedroom bungalow in Lagos, i.e excluding cost of land. Infact, you have to be very shrewd with expenses to achieve this.
This is fact.

As per the guy looking for what to do with his money, hmm, I would never advise anyone to invest in this Uber/Bolt business. Coughing out a whooping 2.5m on this hustle is a NO for me. Think of other businesses to do with your money. It may take a while, but you will get there eventually.

The Uber business is retrogressive in nature, a backward vicious cycle. The dashboard you see here consist of money paid to filling stations (25% of earrings), money paid to app companies (25% of earnings), repairs (20% of earrings), take home (10% of earnings).

You should grow and make profit in business which is not the case here. For someone that can't drive and hasn't driven before in Lagos, you shouldn't embark on this. You may find yourself back home and thinking after one week of trial. It's not worth it.

My two cents too.
That young chap no dey hear word. He doesn't know what he is about to embark on. I ve told him Japa is the best option and he should start now, rather he chose to invest 2.5 million naira in a business full of uncertainties and risk.

Dashboards wey dem dey post here dey deceive am. Let him continue, he wants to learn the hard way.

If I were him, I will invest the 15 mills and the 2.5 in Education abroad. Probably an I.T course like Digital Marketing etc . When I graduate and start working over there. In a year, I will make 3times of that 15million and 2.5 million combined and still afford to live in a sane environment where everything is working. Naija has no future, no direction, she is moving like headless chicken.

And the beauty of I.T degree and qualifications is that you can work as a freelancer, if you don't want to work for a company.

Sunday surge took me to iba junction (after the crazy traffic from egbeda to power line) I was desperate to leave that axis and got a trip to Ikeja. Lo and behold I saw 6 adults and I told them NO. I parked there to watch if another driver will reject them but a driver came through and took them. How can adult lap in a bolt ride?
The driver is not the owner of the car. If they do car maintenance themselves they wouldn't try such. Nah owner dey do maintenance, thats why they can carry anything in exchange for peanuts.

Good evening guys I dropped a comment last week about selling my land worth #20Million then getting to have a fleet of cars some people advised that I shouldn't instead na to japa. My plans has always been to japa sha right now what I want to do is buy a tokunbo matrix say 2.5M-3M then test the waters. I have some problems I no sabi drive so I want to go to driving school to learn hopefully within a Month and I no Even to sabi Lagos roads with google map how the business now comrades I just want something that would keep me busy cos visa processing for the countries I wan japa to go be from next year
Now is the best time to Japa, no time to waste time, very soon Yankee, UK, Canada etc will start closing their borders to Nigerians. Don't test any water. There are better opportunities there than here. Didn't you see Uncle Dru living large in the US. Driving nice cars and eating good and quality meals over there. Hanging out in exotics and exclusive places over there. My brother there is life over there than here. Quality life, Good health care system, sound Education with funded scholarships, security, light dey 247, mouth watering jobs that can fetch an average of 70,000 dollars in a year. Thats like 40,000,000 Naira in a year. My brother use your head and make hay when the sunshine. The earlier the better.
