Dannyxy: Chelle should not play iwobi in the middle, remove Simon and play iwobi there …
We need someone they knows how to handle the midfield control properly, over the years this is one of biggest issue, any small team that has below average midfielders, and knows how to peg out wingers with physical football would always give us problems because we don’t control midfield, we always take the ball to Simon, or play long, at most we just pass aimlessly to the wings over and over, then loose the ball, while hoping on one or two brilliance from osimhen and co in the mix of the aimless and lethargic football. Looks like Simon is a tournament player. He and Lookman have been poor throughout this qualifiers |

If the current northerners in the U20 couldn't flourish at the world cup, .... Then your supposed Southerners cum East are supposed to show them how its done in the current SE
Heck, the current Southerners and Easterners in the SE can't even do well in Africa, can't even qualify to the world cup.
Whereas the supposed Northerners got to their own World Cup and only lost at the Quarter finals
Always remember that, he who comes to equity must come with clean hands. I'm at a loss at the bolded. Which team was this? What year? |

Always remember that, he who comes to equity must come with clean hands. My point goes beyond the specific failure of the u-20 or the SE and leads to the overarching point that using pattern recognition, it is easy to see that our best sportmen including players in the national teams are from the south. And to invalidate your point, I can show you many times when SE was populated by southies and they succeeded while you on the other hand would not be able to show me as many times when our teams were dominated by northerners and we succeeded. |

Who are you to tell another fan whether to keep hope alive or not?
Keep keeping your hopes alive and allow others lose their hope in peace.
Does the game play of our current Eagles look like something to keep hope alive for?
Abeg face your front and allow others to face their own fronts too This is the heart of the matter. SE don't inspire hope or confidence. I say when Morocco was winning Falcons 2-0, I sat down and continued watching because the girls were fighting. SE are limp. Fans put themselves under pressure. The players are breezy and nonchalant. Pass give your brother to score. Mbanu. I must score. |

I believe, and we need to prove that. Besides that, this match is a derby and we will win. Look we have no pressure but we need to cause havoc and to be remembered as party spoiler for long time to come. South Africa Bafana Bafana have been together for a while but they don't have our quality. On Friday you will know." Maybe them don already bribe am. He's just mouthing this to fool people. |

comodo: You see the bolded, that's the summary. The little that the Burkina man is doing to sanitize his country. Its still Africans that are demonizing him. A continent that was blessed with so much nature made resources. We like giving excuses too much. We are a feminized race. We never accept responsibility. We really do not want to grow. What is true for individuals is true for nations and groups. That very thing that happened to Mr. A and made him fail, happened to Mr. B and propelled him to success. While we may sympathize with A, it is B that we celebrate and point at as inspiration for others. |

Ihenzy: At the bolded, I don't want to say some things on this your comment but let me just speak on the bolded.
The North is not culturally laid back in terms of sport. Most of Nigeria Top level Footballers like Mikel, Ahmad Musa, Simon, Babayaro e.t.c developed from the North and even our current starboy Benjamin. Exceptions prove the rule. Mikel is from the South. Grew up in the north. Simon is from the middle belt. Ahmed Musa I heard is from Auchi. The Babayaros are Igbos. For every one player you mention from the north, 20 can be mentioned from the south and middle belt. If we say - and it is the fact - that blacks in America dominate the NBA and athletics will you argue against it? Why is this a difficult thing to accept. It's not even a shameful thing. The north has its own unique proficiencies. Athletics and sports is not one of it. Just go through the list of our sportsmen and you'd find that they are overwhelmingly from the south and middle belt. |

SymphonyRad: Dem carry Northerners pack for team, when we raised our voices about this lopsided preponderance of players from a certain section of the country in the U20 squad list, the "politically correct" apologists came for our necks- now see the result...same nepotism we saw with the CHAN and U17 team. A perfect sample size would have to be the previous successful U17-U20 teams and the regions of the players, the Siasia teams that gave us some fantastic achievements and players at U20 levels easily prove this point.
The uncomfortable truth many Nigerians will have to accept is that the best pool of Nigeria's football talents (going by the precedence of history) have always come from the old Bendel areas (current day Edo and Delta), the South East, some from the the Middle belt Christian areas and then the South West. The core Muslim North have never been known to produce top level athletes for Nigeria, and maybe that has more to do with poor scouting or perhaps the culturally laid-back attitude of the North towards sports. Facts. No need to be apologetic about it. Yes we have a sprinkling here and there - think Tijani Babangida, Garba Lawal - but generally sports is not the forte of the far North. |

No disrespect to the ones from North, but I know where our football talents are. We like to tell ourselves lies that's why we walk softly around certain facts. Our Southern brothers are more athletic than those in the north (excluding North Central sha) Indians are not athletic. Fact. Oyibo as a race pass black man race (not because of skin color but culture). Fact. Men cannot be women and vice versa. Fact. |

kennysville: Some things have been happening and we aren't observant. That supposed loss could be what takes Nigeria to the world cup. Also there is a reason the handball against SA stood up until now. It effectively ensured we are still in the running albeit very late. Let's wait till the end of the qualifiers. As someone said, maybe God loves Naija more It's not really about the qualification. Even if we qualify, Chelle seems unsure of himself to me. I might be wrong because qualifiers is usually within short spaces of time, not enough for the players to gell with his ideas. We wait and see. |

Not because I don't want them to make progress in their clubs but because before you know it people start clamoring for them to be invited. Onuachu and Sadiq are not Super Eagles material. Our playing style does not suit them. The earlier we come to terms with this reality, the better for us just so that we avoid the confusion that comes with the clamor for their invite. |

Rohr did well between 2016 and 2019. His decline began 2020 till 2021. It was right to fire him. His decline started on the eve of the 2018 World Cup during the friendlies we played. He lacked self belief and kept on undermining his team with his words. Towards the end, he became totally clueless. |

Kog45: I think youth teams should be about the future sometimes not even the results.Yes Daga and Bameyi always making the team brings questions.
The law I have seen homegrown youth player who used his real age 14 and played in under 18 tournament and made the tournament XI,if such boy makes under 20 team at 16,meaning he can make 3 appearances for under 21 team. The point is that those boys even if they are within the age limit, they ought to have grown beyond cadet football. So for them to keep featuring means that they are not developing. It also means that the coaches are not scouting new talents. |
