When we talk of mother's and wives, some immature souls here will say wife will divorce you. Good what about mother's that divorce their husbands, leaving the poor man to suffer with the kids alone and all of a sudden the son becomes something, she now came to reap from where she did not show. Do such mother's deserve to be priotise to the wife that sometimes surrender her future to and make you become a full fleshed man? Everything here depends on individual differences. All these bachelor's that cliams mother first. May God help you to marry a virtuous woman, that is when you will know whom to choose between them. It is easier said than done. |

Blitzking: Food affects one intelligence oo don't let anyone deceive you it's multifactorial..if u can have access to nutritious food then a good environment with quality stimuli won't be a problem. Wrong if that is the case rich men children that have access to all you mentioned wouldn't be dump. As a teacher most of the low IQ students are always from rich homes and environment. I believe it's all about gene. |
Education › Re: Does Food Influence A Child's IQ Development? by mummymum: 8:55pm On Sep 10, 2024 |
No I disagree with you food intake can't improve a child's IQ. If it does the rich men children would have been the most brilliant children on earth while the poor men children would have been behind them. The reverse is the case. If you check the public university, the best graduating student always is from poor background. So I think a smart and intelligent child gets it from his/her gene. |

FalseProphet1: Because the village is where the poorest of the poor live.
This I have seen. You are lying, so you call someone leaving in one room face me I face you compound with many other tenant using sometimes a very dirty toilet, and at the same time raising his children in that same environs rich man? Some of them are not even leaving in a good house because they can't afford it rather they choose bacha especially ph people. Can you even compare yourself to someone that lives in his village before you know has built his own apartment and have other investment to those I mentioned above. Because you squat in the city doesn't make one a rich man. And to correct your impression village people are not poor rather they are achievers. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Are Nigerian Graduates Employable? by mummymum: 10:48pm On Feb 11, 2022 |
N2B2: An interesting write-up, @mollie2.
It presents a few hard-hitting questions.
Unfortunately, it also reads like a tirade typical of the average low-paying Nigerian employer with a god complex.
The rant starts from your title: "Are Nigerian graduates employable?" God bless you for the response Fresh graduates have little to no experience and will typically seek entry-level jobs to gain experience.
Are these hiring managers looking to fill vacant entry level positions? Because there's no shortage of young graduates out there searching for their first jobs.
Let's look at some of your points.
Yes, a can-do attitude is a mindset valued in the workplace.
However, you mention nothing about can-do attitudes here.
Instead, because you had one bad experience, you jeer at the unemployed who lament Nigeria's failed employment systems.
That's what the job requirements section of your job posting is for. No research needed.
What interviewers think of such candidates is irrelevant.
How is wanting to go to church on weekdays religious fanaticism?
You seem incensed that applicants want to maintain lives outside their workplace.
The title of this point should have been: "A lack of workplace fanaticism."
A lie cleverly intended to mask the ridiculousness of the next statement you make.
See next quote:
I said it - a typical low-paying employer, seeking "rockstar" talents to pay peanuts to.
For those reading, never let anyone convince you that you aren't worth reasonable pay, even if you have little to no experience.
Employers don't only pay for your skill; they pay for your time and effort, too.
It is called slave labor, indicative of the terrible workplace you run.
Conclusion:
This rant-like write-up is just a demand for employee subservience.
Unpaid internships, peanut-paying yet high-demanding jobs... all unreasonable demands of fresh graduates.
And unreasonable demands breed hostile workplaces.
Try again.
This time, try to put yourself in the shoes of the unemployed when you write. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Are Nigerian Graduates Employable? by mummymum: 10:44pm On Feb 11, 2022 |
CamusMidas: You have a point, but I don't think employability is the issue here; it is clearly lack of employment in the country.
Was there ever a scenario in this country where the space advertised was 10 and 100 people applied; at the end of the day the employer says he disappointed with the people that apply and encourage fresh applicant to apply? Good question, op please answer. |

Aside dt,parents shld devote more time to teaching their kids at home Do not think dt it is a teacher alone dt will educate ur kids esp those dt are block heads. What could a child of such age do to deserve such abuse from a teacher? Look if you are a teacher can you flog such minor to that extent and expect any sane person to come and hear your own side of the story. I don't believe that you are human. so must you kill a child to show that you are teaching? |
