Most of us can afford to donate One Naira!

Now.. there are 1,627,592 members on Nairaland. If 100,000 members donate N 100 each that will be 10 million naira.

I doubt if this story is true..

The man in question must have been apprehended for another offence but not this issue of hiding IED in a stabilizer.

Things dont just add up! What is the military uniform, bullets and gun doing there? Why isnt the stabilizer opened for us to see? How did the military know that there is an IED inside the stablizer?

The man is even using crutches. How did he carry the gun?

All these propaganda sef.. Either the blogger or military one of them dey lie. angry

Not parallel market rate but interbank rates. That is how much banks can buy from bigger banks that CBN has assigned.

Its like this, CBN pegged the dollar at 197 and were the only bank that could sell at that rate but now they have changed the peg to about 250 but have other partners banks that can sell to smaller banks at that rates.

So, no bank can sell to you at that rate technically.

There are many ways to achieve the same thing; if floating the currency will cause its value to wane and govt took that option then govt has devalued naira. Your argument does not change that except you can show me govt. option has made naira appreciate.

Isnt the N 253 to a $ parrallel market rate? Or am I missing something here?

It is unfortunate and annoying that the US (with all its investigative skills) would not give substantive evidence that the Lawmakers actually committed the offences. I have 4 questions to ask:

1. Didn't the house keeper state the Room Number the lawmaker grabbed her so that the occupant of the Room can be verified?
2 Isn't there any CCTV footage that shows when the other two law makers were discussing with the parking lot attendant?
3. Why didnt the Hotel Management interrogate the Lawmakers immediately after the allegations or at least before they left the US?
4. Why would the Lawmakers be identified only from a group picture? Couldn't there have been a possibility of mistaken identity?

These Lawmakers represent us and have families. They deserve to be given fair hearing. Unfortunately, most Nigerians will crucify first before verifying the truth of the story and that's happening already. smh

If I read the reasons the US Ambassador gave for the visa denial correctly, it is still in the realm of allegation. No matter how they live their personal lives, these honourable gentlemen are our leaders, duly elected. That they are accused of a crime does not make them immediately guilty because they are Nigerians. Non of us will join the whole villagers to belittle our parent(s) if they are 'accused' of witchcraft without proof. Considering where the accusations are coming from, the US against soliciting for sex while operating gay clubs. I will suggest we allow the investigation proposed by the Speaker to be completed before we show how righteous we are. I am a proud Nigerian and no clown will accuse my leaders this cheap and get away with it. These are very weighty allegations that the Ambassador must be made to substantiate.

Eggs are very scarce here (Abuja). And I dont know how you guys sell that cheap per crate. I bought a crate yesterday at N 1,000. My neighbour got his for N 1,100.. It used to be N 850.

I needed a car worth a budget and being an ardent follower of his posts, I decided to contact him. We spoke on the phone and he encouraged me to travel down as seeing is way better than pictures. It took me a while to make up my mind but I eventually travelled down to Zaria. I arrived late on a Friday because I embarked on the journey after the close of work. We met and since it was too late to do any inspection, we decided to look for a hotel for me to pass the night. I must say he is quite a humble and nice person. He settled part of my hotel bill even without being sure I was going to buy a car from him. I was already hungry, he took me to a restaurant and also paid for my dinner. The following day, he picked me from the hotel and we went round checking out cars. He has pre-knowledge about all the cars he showed me and also gave very honest advice about them. I finally settled for the one (Honda Accord 2000 model) and he helped bargain at a very good price with the seller. He was very helpful with other little things that I needed to do on the car like service, vehicle registration and changing the alloy rims to a more attractive one. He ensured that I got the best deals.
CITYHOOD is very honest. He is more concerned about customers’ satisfaction than monetary gain.
It’s really worth it going to Zaria to do business with him.
The car has no issues. Both the engine and transmission are working “super-fantastically” well grin

Hi guys..

Someone intends to sell a toks Ford Focus saloon 02/03 to me at 650k.. Its Auto drive..

After some research on nairaland.. I observed that the price of Toks Ford Focus is low compared to other cars like toyota, honda etc which are of same year range. Also, the cost of used ones are very low irrespective of year model.

Why is this so? Is Ford Focus not durable or it just has low second hand value?

Your responses will help me make a decision. Thanks.
