Being a man, involves mastering the emotional faculties and governing the mind, and not being a slave to emotions and mind.
A real man must reject certain categories of pusssies. The fact that nature provides rain and sun does not mean we shouldn't wear rain coats or carry umbrella. Perfectly said brother |

Akwamkpuruamu: Africans
Few days ago, A whole Duke of Edinburgh and husband to the Almighty Queen of England was buried today, only 18 invited guests.
No reception nor takeaway packs, no uniform, liveband, tent/canopy, not even bottle/pure water.
No cooler of food for the Choristers or appreciation envelopes for officiating ministers, no age grade levy or community levy and no taxing/levy on in-laws.
But in Nigeria, if Okada rider dies....., his immediate and extended family must feed 5 thousand people with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes..
We really need to repent and have sense. Don't be an unfortunate human being. Africans have their cultures and must not imitate some things the white did. Soon u will allow another man screw your nyash bc white people are doing it. Use your head, u have one |

This is my first time seeing this list and what exactly is Mercy Chinwo Nnenda doing on that list. This is height of insensitivity and clout chasing taken too far.
We have SINACH someone whose profile and all appear all US Base is now been replaced by a local champion bearing in mind that most of the names on the list ain't igbo. The person who compiled this went ahead to replace proud igbo daughters with non igbos just to clout chase...this is madness taken too far.
The list should be discarded. Doesn't reflect reality

Hedonisco: If you're wondering why there seems to be shortage of shoemakers, 'obiomas', gworo hawkers, and other abokki artisans and petty traders of late, the reason isn't far fetched. Most abokki youth are now embracing banditry... Especially kidnapping.
At this rate Nigeria would be worse than Somalia, Afghanistan, and Syria combined if we don't wake up. The threat isn't ordinary criminality, because at least Southern criminals have sense. We're dealing with subhuman Fulani animals with zero sense and an abundance of mindless and needless violence. Bastards for whom there is no method to their madness.
Let's forget politics and fleeting personal gain. We have a crisis on our hands. You've said it all.. I have my own personal experience but won't say it here.. Is a mess |

Eze2000: I know. It's her mother she is searching for.
The term you find offensive in my comment is Illegitmae child. Below is the meaning according to goggle.
An illegitimate child is born to parents who are not married to each other at the time of the child's birth.
You are after my head for no reason at all. Unless you attended the wedding of her dad and real mom before she was born Even with this definition you're wrong.. Remember a dowry was paid for the mom which signifies marriage in African setting, which was later returned.. So how can a child whose mother's dowry was paid for be illegitimate.. Or u just find the word illegitimate sexy to use? |

judecares1: My dear,I sincerely understand what you currently passing through and this was exactly how my mum helped a student teacher posted to her school for TP. NOW,this lady had same experience with you and her Dad promised himself never for the child to see her real mum, this girl was taken away from her mom while she was 1week old and both parents are same community. Fast forward to the story. This lady was in 300level at University when she was posted to the school which my mum head as TP student, after spending two weeks with my mom,she decided to open up to my mom on her she has tried locating her real mum,to my mom greatest surprise this lady both parents are from same community with us and a popular family at that,my mom got the shock of her life after discovering this ,she was tired and wondering what might happen for her father to do such. The next day my mom took up the case upon herself and started making out findings about d lady, her mom and dad. After 3days,my mom arranged a meeting between this lady and her mom in her school but do you know that her mother can't recognize her daughter again? Both d girl, her dad and mom were filled with joy after lots of apologize from the parents to the lady
So my dear, just be calm and prayerful. Just like what some persons have said, you are really emotional. God will surely help you This your story is touching |

BigTableShaker: Didn't you read her story? Can't you comprehend it?! No pictures of her mother, no records, no in-laws, forged certificates, no extended family, nothing.. All she has is a stupid father and a witchy stepmum.
Theyre plenty for Lagos here. Just like Hausa have alimajiri, igbo have baby factories. It's very easy to get an Igbo child to use as House help/slave also very easy to get an Hausa boy for gateman. Some of them have spent more than 20 years in Lagos hustling, theve go no where else to go, no home town, no family, no parents, nothing. They re all over Nigerian cities, olosho, gala sellers, truck pushers, Mai ruwa, mai-shara, Mai-nama eg mannabbq etc
They can live with you forever, even serve your children join.
That's why omoluabi are different, the don't sell children, no alimajiri, no baby factory, all have lineage.
Let the op prove me wrong if she ain't IGBO. You're concluding on the wrong note.. Someone already told her the man was her father and the seminarian his brother,.. The argument isn't on who the father is because it is known, her mother is whom she's looking for.. Please apply intelligence and don't look stupid on a public forum line this, bc you're not working with the information given here, the gal even said she looks exactly like her father, so what's your issue... I understand you want to go tribalistic but sorry you're doing it in a way it makes u look unintelligent and dull.. Be a smart chap |

hardbody: The guy you quoted is very correct. I am from there and I visit there at least 3 times every year (New year/Easter/New yam festival/Christmas and any other time that I have a need to).
Generally speaking though, Aros are not farmers so the issue of moving farm products does not quite arise. We buy from our neighbours who are mostly the ones that farm and this explains why that town is very expensive. Of course you will find few people who plant for personal consumption and they certainly move their products home as they know best. I'm not arguing about the celebration thing.. So you're saying Aros don't deserve good roads and other good things bc they celebrate festivals or what? |
