Soulsymbol99:This Rivers APC issue was not instituted or caused by PDP/Wike. It is Amaechi and his fallout with Magnus Abe that resulted in this. APC flouted high court orders and that was not engineered by Wike in any way. PDP just happens to be the convenient recipient of this judgment. Meanwhile Wike's wife is a Rivers State High Court judge. |
So true! |
KunleyY19:Does that make it right? No sane person supports such nonsense. Buhari tried and failed. If he could do it directly like in the military era he would have that is why he and his crew deployed this wicked, underhanded method which has failed as far as APC Rivers matter is concerned. |
KunleyY19: drshrewd:Non-interference? Fair? With the blatant attack against the CJN and his illegal 'suspension'? That is the worst form of interference but the judiciary stood its ground! Why do u think the Court of Appeal already granted that questionable stay of execution of judgment even when the Supreme Court in a judgment last year had pronounced the correctness and propriety of the ruling of the state high court? |
Respectful truth. |
Make him go answer o! |
February 8, 2019 A Kaduna State High Court on Friday issued a warrant of arrest against the Chairman of Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, for contempt. The warrant of arrest was issued by Justice Mario Mohammed after the chairman had ignored several summons by the court in a suit between Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufa’i and Today’s publishing Company Limited, and one other. A warrant form obtained directed that police personnel and authorities should arrest the CCB Chairman and produce him before the court on February 13, 2019. Earlier, Today Publishing company, the publisher of The Union Newspapers had filed application requesting the court to subpoena CCB Chairman to produce assets declaration of El-Rufai in court after several failed efforts it made to obtain it from the CCB. Justice Mohammed granted the approval based on the application filed by Counsel to The Union Newspapers, Mr J.N. Egwuonwu (SAN), during the continuation of defence at a previous sitting. Egwuonwu represented by Hiifan Andrew Abuul had written an application to the court to subpoena CCB to tender the asset declaration of the Governor before the court. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/kaduna-court-orders-arrest-of-ccb-chairman/amp/ https://www.google.com/amp/dailypost.ng/2019/02/08/court-orders-arrest-ccb-chairman/amp/ |
senatordave1: ..disqualification of the APC from fielding 'ANY' candidate...Emphasis on 'ANY' |
What informed the change of plans? Good one though |
kcmichael:Is the Channels the only credible source of all news? Is it through Channels that all other media get news? |
These are issues Obiano should tackle decisively and restore peace and sanity instead he is wagging his loose lips supporting nonsense because he is not running for election this year. Silly thing! |
They wouldn't use conventional hospitals until the situation degenerates.. The time wasted in looking for traditional birth assistant and younger sister would it not have been sufficient to get the woman to a nearby hospital and avoid this tragedy? |
kcmichael:They met in the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Three Arms Zone Abuja. Were they supposed to meet at your backyard before? |
Mariory:There is a Court of Appeal ruling upholding the judgment of the Rivers High Court which barred all APC candidates in Rivers. That is different from another Court of Appeal Judgment staying the execution of the decision of the high court. The Supreme Court has by its judgment quashed every other ruling/judgment allowing APC to field any candidate in Rivers state. Read this: https://guardian.ng/news/rivers-apc-cant-contest-2019-polls-court-of-appeal-insists/ then see this: https://www.vanguardngr.com/2019/02/rivers-apc-a-court-stays-judgment-on-delisting-of-apc-candidates-from-ballot/ this second position was probably because both parties had appealed the judgment of the lower court up till the supreme court so it did not overturn the judgment of the lower court, it only stayed the execution of the judgment thus allowing APC to field candidates. However, today's judgment by the Supreme Court overrides that temporary reprieve/stay of execution by the Court of Appeal. |
PDP never did and never will. It is too mature and organised a party to descend to this level of pettiness and u can be sure government/public funds have been expended to erect this madness! yrex01: |
Madness! I am sure Mohammed the Liar would have tripped over his distended lips and tongue in his haste to condemn and spew propaganda against PDP if they had erected an umbrella this massive in any part of the FCT not to talk of the City Gate. This is so indecent! el-Ruffy the Body Bag Midget will not question this 'intervention' now o! |

The way the thing comes full circle ehn! They forget that what goes around certainly comes around... |
walex2: The Supreme Court has upheld the Court of Appeal judgment upholding the judgment of Justice Chinwendu Nwogu of the High Court of Rivers State which stayed all primaries conducted by the All Progressives Congress in the state.I hope you can understand the terminologies used here otherwise seek advise and don't just spout ignorance here... https://www.independent.ng/just-in-apc-cant-field-candidates-in-rivers-elections-supreme-court-rules/amp/ https://www.ripplesnigeria.com/settled-supreme-court-shuts-out-rivers-apc-from-2019-elections/ |
Wake up joor! Which previous government are u referring to? Ambode's or Fashola's? Are they not all in APC? Is the sudden disappearance of these trucks a result of some new road constructed between yesterday and today? This is clear evidence of sustained wickedness by Lagos governors who simply refused to apply any level of ingeniousness towards clearing these trucks and easing interminable traffic conditions for Lagosians and u you are blaring your normal sycophant tunes like one confused! StupidInyamiri: |
Ha! Eye service on display! I hope they are able to keep the trucks off even after elections o! Let it not be because Bubu is going to Lagos and for election/political points... |
Laugh at ya confusion...have you cared to find out what the High Court judgment is? Tetehjewels: |
Wike is not responsible for this! It was APC factions suing themselves and refusing to obey simple court orders. The lizard of Ubima thought himself a croc and took on more than he could handle! Why flout the order of a high court and conduct primaries then turn around to benefit from their illegal actions and deliberate disobedience of court orders? Is it Wike that told them to act the way they did? Or is he the one that took them to court? There will be no crises and in fact for the first time since APC came into existence, there will be peaceful elections in Rivers state without bloodshed. Why are u not predicting crises in Zamfara? Is it not the same situation of APC being barred by the Courts from fielding any candidates at all levels? Stop the yeye deceit please! This judgment is God protecting the good people of Rivers State, they have suffered enough! Cherrybae: |
What are you on about? Fesomu: |
Five persons including three children were feared dead when fire razed a section of Sani Abacha internally displaced persons camp in Maiduguri on Thursday. Several other displaced persons in the camp sustained different degrees of burns. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained but a source told The Guardian that it may have been started from a kitchen in the west flank of the camp. Firemen were able to get to the scene about 45 minutes after the fire started. A source with an international humanitarian agency told The Guardian on Thursday that 7,457 IDPs were rendered homeless. https://www.google.com/amp/s/guardian.ng/news/five-feared-dead-in-maiduguri-idp-camp-fire/amp |
Who likes hunger and who will deliberately invite hunger that can result in diseases and death to his household? Who doesn't like good things? If Nigerians under PDP were happier and fatter, by all means bring PDP back and go with your poverty and hunger dignifying party called APC. Th idiot is attempting to mock PDP when he remains one of the major beneficiaries of the party as former Governor and other offices he occupied? What an irony! |
When is Babchir Lawal being arraigned? At least he is not out of the country too is he? Or is this all the warning and time he needs to actually disappear and then a 'manhunt' will be launched |
I wonder how saying people will go back to their countries in body bags does not amount to a direct call for violence. How the hell are the people supposed to get into those body bags then? He says it was a call to defend Nigeria's sovereignty? Then why did he and his minions 'misinterpret' the call for self-defence by Apostle Suleiman against marauding fulani herdsmen in the North to mean hate speech and incitement of violence to the point of threatening and attempting to arrest Suleiman? All these things will come full circle very soon then those who have arrogated unto themselves powers to take lives carelessly will answer questions. |
Plan that did not smell even a thought not even some discourse by the dullard-in-chief during his 2014 campaign and from 2015 till date is suddenly a plan to vote him for? Obiano should lay off the cheap, expired drugs he's been hooked unto let's hear word! |
