MarksmanD:Thanks so much for this valuable advice. |
MarksmanD:@MarksmanD: Please kindly advise me how I can pay my tution fees balance from Naira to CAD. Thanks in anticipation of your quick response. |
Duchess102:Congratulations to you my brother @Duchess102. I am very happy for you and this great blessing God has showered on you. You are such a kind hearted fellow and very sincere contributor/adviser on this platform. Your sincere mindset got my attention when you were freely offering a candid advice to help me wriggle out the challenge of IRCC request of additional documents, and you mentioned at the bottom of your advice something that came across as a humble caveat that "you are also a study permit applicant". This your humility and sincerity was so much cherished by me, even more than the valuable advice you gave me. I said this because it made me to shop around for more insightful perspectives, and at the end of the day I was able to satisfactorily respond to IRCC and got my application approved. So today I am very happy to hear that your own application was also approved. Congratulations and I wish you more wins. |
Duchess102:No idea of their policy but in the message sent to me to notify me that my passport has been dispatched to the courier, it was mentioned that "in-person collection of stamped passport is suspended till further notice". Hope this helps. |
Duchess102:Sorry for my late response. I am just coming online now for today. Although, my application is online. Yet I paid the following in Naira: Passport Transmission = N36,720 Courier One-Way Return = N30,030 Total Amount Paid= N66,750 |
Duchess102:Thanks for the clarity. Yes, I paid for VFS for the passport transmission to IRCC and I equally paid for VFS to courier the passport to my house after stamping. I included these payment receipts in the package I asked DHL to handover to VFS. So, as rightly advised, I will wait for VFS to send me an acknowledgement or a confirmation that my passport has been received by them and the next actions to be taken. I was worry because I expected VFS to acknowledge my payment for the passport transmission immediately I made the payment last Thursday. Thanks again for your support. |
Duchess102:@Duchess102: Please do you have an idea about how I can get to confirm that VFS has indeed received my passport submission? I did not book any appointment nor physically visit VFS office but rather I submitted my passport at DHL office and was given a tracking number. I tracked my passport on DHL platform, and it says the passport has been delivered to VFS Lagos on Friday by 9am. However, I have not received any notification from VFS that they have received my passport from DHL. Please, kindly advise how to confirm that truly VFS has received and will transmit it to IRCC for stamping. |
Duchess102:I have searched VFS website to book appointment for passport submission in their Lagos office. But the nearest available dates are toward the end of September. So, I checked the VFS Abuja, and found available dates for 29th and 30th of August. My question is: will I need to travel down to Abuja to submit the passport for visa stamping? Or I can just go to any DHL or UPS Office to send the passport to Abuja VFS? Please, anybody with the answer, kindly advise. |
Kindyl:I wish you the best of luck. |
Duchess102:I did as you advised by submitting the investment records/receipts, the requested mybankStatement and my employment pay slips plus an honest LOE. And I ensured to submit all the requested documents 4 days after the request without waiting for the submission deadline. Please what is the most effective and fast option of submitting passport for visa stamping? |
Neche207:June 30th and I used the online portal. |
MarksmanD:@MarksmanD and other well wishers, I am happy to share the good news that my PPR letter landed early this morning. I submitted all the requested additional documents with a truthful LOE to IRCC, and the caring Lord answered my prayer. Alhamdulillah, all glory to Him. I will be back soon with lessons learned. Thank you all and I wish the hopefuls the best of luck. Please advise on the most effective and fast option for submitting my passport for stamping. |
Duchess102: |
MarksmanD:Thank you so much for the advice. |
MarksmanD:Thanks @MarksmandD. I will write IRCC as advised and ask for more time. But do you think I can ask for more time beyond University resumption date which is Sept 3rd which is a week after the IRCC deadline (Aug 26th)? |
Duchess102:Thanks @Duchess102. I actually thought they are requesting these documents because the last one I send with my application is truly blurry due to the smallness of the font size of Firstbank's statement. Pls do know if Firstbank is issuing mybankStatement to their customers? Anyways, that is bygone now. As you rightly mentioned I hope to liquidate the investment and ask the money be paid back into my firstbank account by the microfinance bank. I will also ask the microfinance institution to issue to me documents proving the investment and what accrued interest within the period. I hope this will suffice to convince the VO? Regarding the fact that I ought to have paid fully for the first term, I am very concerned claiming the school not refunding paid fund after visa denial because I do not have any evidence to back such claims. My main reason which I hope to reiterate in the LOE I will be sending in my response is that the University only requires tuition deposit and that first term tuition balance can be paid till 17th Sept without late payment penalty. And this can be validated. Also I wish to state that I did not want to just keep the money idle in my account while waiting for the visa approval, hence I decided to put it in the microfinance investment for a short term profit. Do you also think this arguement is sufficient to convince the VO? I plan to inform the investment bank today about liquidating my investment, and I know it may take like 2 days before the repayment of my invested fund hit my bank account. I am concerned if I then attend to pay the balance tuition to my university by Friday, I may not be able to receive a tution balance payment receipt/current student statement which IRCC is requesting I submit before August 26th deadline. Please, what is your advice about this? |

Good evening All, Please I need your kind suggestions to resolve the challenges below. Thanks Hello Everyone, I need your urgent help on how best to go about the following additional documents requested by IRCC. Let me quickly give you a brief background and what documents I initially submitted with my visa application around 28th Jun 2024. Since last weekend up till yesterday, I have sent about 3 webforms to IRCC, inquiring about an update regarding my application and arguing about the fact that my University program starts on the 3rd of Sept 2024. So early this morning, I got an email from IRCC, directing me to my application portal and requesting me to send the following additional documents with some very short deadline: A) An updated proof of funds (i.e. a bank statement specifically from my First Bank account for the period of *2023-12-01* to *2024-08-15* and must be submitted through mybankStatement) B) Include an explanation/receipts for any large bank deposits received C) Corresponding pay slips for that period D) Tuition payment receipt(s) and E) A current student statement of account from your designated learning institution. This must be received at this office by 2024/08/26. Meanwhile, when I submitted my visa application in June, I submitted my bank account statement which included a lump sum received for parcel of inherited landed property I sold. In my SOP, I explained this in detail and attached the land survey, deed of conveyance from the family trustees, the sales agreement proving the source of the lump sum and other documentary evidence of my investment with some other financial institutions. I equally submitted my four month pay slips from my new place of work which I joined four months ago and my pension fund statement of about 12m. I also included valid documents of my other landed properties including the one I built and live in. Please, note that I planned to sell another two undeveloped plots but I am yet to see a serious buyer. I also submitted an account statement issued by my University that I have paid the tuition deposit of 1,500CAD out of 10,000CAD tution for first term. However, shortly after submission I pulled out the lump sum which is about 40m and I also pulled out about 3m from my second bank account and invested it in a short term fix deposit with a microfinance bank. I made this decision because I intended to defer my varsity admission in order to buy time and raise more money to be able to pay for remainder of both first and second term and the one year living expenses, hoping I could get the visa with a tution deposit. Now, that IRCC is requesting for an updated account statement within a week, I am concerned about the short deadline and dont know if I can pay the tuition balance and get receipt from the university within a week deadline. Also, I am not sure if anyone here has ever used mybankStatement at First bank. Please, I need your candid advice and guidance on how to handle this predicament within this very short deadline. |

TradeSunMoore:Hello Everyone, Please I need help urgently. I am filling and reviewing my application form on the IRCC New Portal. But I got stucked in a section of my University details because the "Save and Continue" button is grey and not responding. I have tried sign out and sign back into the portal but it is only opening and taking me to this page. Yet each time I re-input the correct information, the button remains unchanged grey instead of blue color to give an access to move to the next page. Please help. My days are very limited. |
JMG12:Thanks for this great insight. I will heed the advice. But to declare the 1st son and his presence in Canada, what documents will I need to support the declaration? |
JMG12:@JMG12: Please advise me. I am about to submit my study visa application. Regarding home ties, I have my first son in Canada currently with PGWP after his studies. But my wife and 2nd son are here in Naija with me. My question is: if, in my own study visa application, I declare the status and location of my first son in Canada, will that information not jeopardize my chance of visa approval? Will the VO not argue that my tie with my son's presence in Canada outweighs my home ties with my wife and 2nd son in Nigeria? Should I rather be silent and not declare that my 1st son is already living and working in Canada? Please kindly advise. |
Ihangha123:Ooh, thanks. I am just seeing this now. I have just sent you an email and awaiting your kind reply. |
Hello Ihangha123, Please I also need the POF preparation. Can I contact you so you kindly guide me on how to go about it? Thanks, Ihangha123: |
technix:Thanks for your advice. |
JMG12:Thanks brotherly. I'm grateful. |
JMG12:Thanks @JMG12, As a matter of fact, my admission offer has only one condition which is to have UNILAG submit my undergraduate official transcript to them (the DLI) before August 1st, 2024. My admission offer from the DLI has a particular page specifically addressed to IRCC and titled "Letter of Acceptance". In this Letter of Acceptance, there is a column as follows: "Fees prepaid: Yes or No", and the DLI checked "No". I am tempted to understand this to mean that tuition deposit is not a requirement by the DLI. I came to this conclusion because there is absolutely no mention of tuition deposit in the admission offer, nor on their website. And throughout the period I was seeking this admission with the DLI, all the school (DLI) have to say is that tuition must be paid before September 1st. Can I bank on this and go ahead to submit my visa application with IRCC? Or paying some part of the tuition can positively affect the decision outcome of my visa application? I need your experienced advice, please. |
colored:Thank you so much. |
JMG12:Dear JMG12, Thanks for all you have doing, assissting others with valuable advice. I heard that IRCC new policy now requires every study visa applicant to pay full first year tuition fees before submitting their visa application. I have researched far and wide just to confirm this claim but it seems the information is scanty and scarce. Even, I couldn't lay my hand on such information on IRCC website. Please, could you help to clarify. |
Hello Everyone! Kindly respond to my question below: Bros! I have a quick question about the new CBN eFORM-A for tuition payment. Kindly advise if it is still advisable to visit the bank and let the bank staff process the transaction or it is better to fill the eFORM-A in the comfort of one's room and wait for the outcome? Please, I will be expecting your quick response and insights from others who might have passed through this experience. Thanks.
|
