General exam for Canada Immig on my second trial ... Really grateful to God.. CRS calc be giving me 456
Congratulations to you and others who aced thier IELTS.
I would know like to know if you guys observed as I did that this time around IELTS results are generally good for people compared to that of last month of February. Does it mean that sometimes the IELTS questions may be easy while it may be difficult at other times? Or could it be that some markers are more strict than others. Whichever is the case, the caring Lord of mercy please help me conquer my second IELTS coming next month and make it favorably my last attempt. Amen!!!
My name is Semiu. I am new on here but i normally read through, I have applied for Student visa late last year and got approved January 10th this year, on the 20th of January I submitted application for my wife for SOWP, she got a medical request mail exactly one month after, medical was done and her account was update for medical passed and also update as they do not need additional documents. two days now she is yet to receive Passport Request Mail after the medical was done and passed. unlike my own I got my passport request instantly. Please any advice. thanks
@Croyance: I just sent email to you for a chat. Pls respond. Thanks
Based on the advice of most elders here, I studied with ieltsliz and jay. I watched most of their videos. Jay was especially helpful im my speaking as i applied his ppf rule in task 2. For writing, I followed all the tips from liz and practised a few topics for task 2 For listening I practised with official ielts listening test on YouTube For reading I practised with Cambridge materials
I need to buck up very well with my reading this time around because it is my greatest challenge.
Kindly help me and send the Cambridge materials (for Reading practice) to my email: muslimity@yahoo.com. Thanks in anticipation.
I got PUM today!!! And I wish to share my story as a testimony to God's glory and in the hopes that someone might be encouraged, inspired, and motivated. (This post may be a bit long. Sorry)
AOR was July 25, 2017
At first, my application was refused. And as I read the refusal letter with shivers down my spine, I figured the VO based his/her decision singularly on insufficient funds. I was beyond crestfallen. I could not even wish that on my enemy. It came on an afternoon and I thanked God I did not drive to work that day cos I would't know how I would have fared behind the wheels. More painful was the fact that the rejection/refusal came after 134 days of agonizing wait! I had been so expectant since I felt I had satisfied every requirement. Meanwhile, a spike in FOREX rates around early August 2017 had relegated my POF below the LICO by 330CAD. Can you imagine that?!
I bottled it up. Never opened my mouth to tell a soul. I did not want to share the heartbreak with my family and close friends who knew I was on this train. So I reached out to my e-friends on this platform, chief of whom are Blackbuddy, 40manlappy, and GlitteringStar for solace and advice. I felt the reason for refusal was flimsy -- they thought so too. I was going to appeal!
Now, up until then, it's not been a common thing to see a refusal decision reversed. But my case was going to be different as I went to God in my unspeakable pain and disappointment. I cast all the burden on him with hope and faith. As advised, I sent the first email and raised a CSE showing that I indeed satisfied the POF requirement, with updated POF attached. After 3 days, my appeal was rejected. It was so devastating but I kept my cool. While me e-friends were following-up and asking for updates, I only told them IRCC were yet to respond. I kept praying. One week passed. Two weeks. Nothing. So, I sent another email, trying to make them see my point. I was begging for mercy, as advised. Failed again.
I had given up, turning my sights on PNP as my CRS had dropped to 427 and no chance of having the draws smile on me. This was January this year. Then on one Sunday evening, Tosin, who also experienced same, reached out to me again, saying I couldn't just be quiet and be waiting or just give up. Then I heard a little voice saying I should try again. I sent another email on Monday but instead got a refund of my RPRF. Damn! I caught a cold that night. Managed to get home. Struggled through the week. Then God provoked me himself - a colleague of mine, who applied after me, got PPR. We congratulated him but I was very sad deep inside. Mine was coming, I shrugged. That night, I drafted another email - this time stating my utter displeasure and showing the unfairness in the refusal decision - and I sent it directly to the minister! I remember I said a silent prayer before clicking the send button: Lord, don't let this one return the way others did.
The next day, I saw a notification, my application had been reopened. I was asked to pay the 490CAD RPRF. I returned the money they had earlier rejected back to them. 3 days later, I got PPR! Now happening so fast I could barely remember the pains I had felt a month ago. I was overjoyed and broke the news to my family and friends - they did not know the underlying story, did not need to. The devil is a liar!!!
AOR to PPR = 184 days
I want to appreciate the selfless efforts of everyone on this platform. And to those of us expecting one thing or the other on this Canadian journey, God will make it all end in praise. Thank you all! God bless!!!
And Wura27 should be ready to add me to that WhatsApp group.
Please, hurriedly go to the University yourself if you truly need the result. Also prepare your mind that you may need to go there multiple times to dig out that your result. Even, you may need to help them ransack their store/record office in search of the lost file. On top of that, you've got to pray and pray for God's favour to find the result complete and on time. My sincere advice is from my personal experience. Best of luck!
sthillz: Lol, Pele Canada PR in my opinion is pretty straightforward

When this part 3 was opened, I made a silent declaration that my PPR story will be told here and here it is!
I want to give God the praise because myself and spouse wrote IELTS in August 2017 once using only ieltsbuddy.com and the road to IELTS from BC. Then ASUU or was it NASU strike held back our WES until Nov/Dec 2017. Family size of 5.
We started this process using the CIC website only until I stumbled on this thread (part 2) through Google. I will encourage newbies to read the CIC website and thoroughly because every needed info is there and seek further guidance or Naija experience from this thread and parts 1 and 2.
Newbeecey: Please pardon my seeming naivety, i just want to avoid stories that touch. When paying for IELTS, the last two digits that are referred to by "the last two digits of your international passport" ; Are they the last two digits of the intl passport number on the top right of the passport date page or the last two digits that are shown on the bottom right of the data page.
It is the one on the right top of your data page which begins with a single alphabet. The same passport number is also printed at the middle bottom on the next page where you have the Nigerian coat of arms. I hope you can find it now.
mcstan18: Yes mummy . See ehn newmum, you must turn up o. Venue is Ojez, inside National stadium complex. Come and be blessed jor

I have plenty people to thank.
Back in 2015 when I first found the Part 1 of this thread and looked into the requirements, especially amount, I just closed the page jeje. Then sometime again late 2016, my husband and I started to look into checking out of this una Naija. We considered Ghana and Cote D'Ivoire, something brought me back to the first thread and this time, the figure was no longer out of our reach, to the glory of God.
Timeline: First ITA - can't recall date. Declined and withdrew profile cause I made an error in name. Learnt after I withdrew it could have been adjusted but

AkorHary: Please for those who have successfully gotten their transcript from UNN this period of NASU strike. I will appreciate a headway on the possible fastest means to get mine.

The attached may be informative to you and everyone.
@Kontagious and other Gurus: Please, kindly advice me on the following issue with WES:
While inputting my details on WES website for my ECA registration/application, I listed details of my BSc and Masters degree. When I finished inputting the details and about to enter the payment page, I was informed that transcripts will be required for the BSc and MSc. Because I know that my Masters degree is sufficient for CRS maximum points and because the University where I did my BSc will take forever to send/verify my transcript, I dont want WES to evaluate my BSc.
Is it okay for me not to list my BSc details on the WES application form?
If I include my BSc details, will WES truly demand for my BSc transcript eventually as prompted during the online registration?
Thanks for your expected response.
Kontagious: #1. N71k+ is in order. 68k is for IELTS and not ECA.
#2. Some edits are allowed, you can edit your mailing address and login details for starters. You may need to contact WES (maybe with proof) for other edits.
#3. A number of ways. i. Rename the document(s) to be sent to show your Name, WES Reference Number and Degree. ii. Add a cover page (either by adding additional page to be sent or through the hellofax cover page) detailing your reference number. iii. Attach a very small piece of paper on your certificate(s) with your reference number written on the paper, then scan. Fix the piece on a corner but make sure no lettering or logo on the document is covered. iv. Combination of some or all of i - iii
NOC 4161: Natural and Applied Science Policy Researcher
cupid01: Hi, I am new here. I have gone through the thread and seen how those who are ahead have shown assistance, may God bless you for your good job. I am done with IELTS My credentials have been assessed by IQAS The next step is my challenge. I am having difficulties selecting the the right NOC. I am a graduate of microbiology and I work as a regulatory office with National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and control (NAFDAC). I will be very grateful if those who have experience can help me out. Thanx
Question #2: Why do you want to claim 6 years work experience? I think just 3 years work experience is required for EE profile.
The 6 year work experience is only necessary to determine your eligibility (as per 67/100 rule) and this is prior to creating your EE profile.
@Elders in the House: Please correct me if I am wrong.
DadR: Happy New Year to everyone in the house, special greetings to the elders.
I’m in the process of creating a profile and need some clarification regarding education and work history. Kindly review the below profile and assist to answer the questions that follow.
My primary NOC is 6235 – Financial Sales Rep.
Education B.Sc. Biz Admin. (ECA in place) 2009 – 2014, certificate issued Feb 2015. OND Accounting (ECA in place) 2007 - 2009 Diploma Accounting (No ECA) 2005¬ – 2006
Work History GEJ Bank Plc Full Staff - Apr 2016 – Till Date (1 year 8 Months) - Marketer (Deposit Mobilisation/Account Officer Contract Staff - Jun 2011 - Mar 2016 (4 years 9 Months) – Back Office/Administrative/Operations OBJ Bank Limited Contract Staff - Jun 2008 – Jun 2011 (3 years) - Back Office/Administrative Internship - May 2007 – May 2008 (1 year) - Back Office/Administrative
My questions go thus:
1. Under Primary Occupation, I was asked of the date I first obtained the minimum education stated in the NOC description. The minimum education requirement are - Completion of secondary school and extensive general banking experience is usually required & A bachelor's degree or college diploma related to commerce or economics may be required. So which date should insert here, is it the date I concluded my B.Sc or OND? Please bear in mind that I was using my OND to perform another function but it is acceptable as a minimum requirement for my NOC. 2. Can I claim 6 years work experience from GEJ Bank Plc, i.e. from being a contract staff to a permanent staff? 3. If 2 above is yes, won’t claiming work experience before obtaining my degree make me ineligible? 4. If 2 above is no, can I claim 2 years work experience (April 2016 – till date) 5. If I claim only 2 years work experience, I’m aware that it’s not a must to include other work history in my profile since I won’t be claiming points for them. I’m also aware that I can put them under personal history, however, I can’t see any tab for personal history. Where can this be found o? LOL. 6. Even if the personal history is found, must I include other work history there or just exclude them from my profile? 7. Since I don’t have ECA for my Diploma in Accounting, can I just exclude it from my profile?
I would really appreciate your prompt response and apologies for the seemingly long post.
Thanks and God bless you.

Bsbabe: Ok, so DHL runs concluded (I can’t afford to wait so I can pay another armed robber salary school fees)
Hmm....where do I start from? I will indeed give God the praise because it could only have been Him. My loooong timeline is below:
IELTS - 07 Jan, 2017 (9,8,8.5,7.5) 1st ECA - WES (still uncompleted as I speak as that institution formerly known as Ogun State University refused to send transcript) 2nd ECA - IQAS; received 26 Mar, 2017 (Resorted to IQAS as we were not aware we could request WES to exclude the BSC from OSU so sent UK Master’s only to IQAS) 1st EE Profile - 27 Mar, 2017 2nd EE Profile - 12 Apr, 2017 (recreated to attract Ontario NOIs which were being released that week. Ontario had requested that we should recreate our profiles) Ontario NOI received - 12 Apr, 2017 Application submitted - 14 Apr, 2017 Nomination - 09 May, 2017 ITA - 17 May, 2017 AOR - 01 Jun, 2017 ADR 1 (travel history) - 09 Aug, 2017 IP1 - 09 Aug, 2017 ADR 2 (spouse UK PCC) - 16 Aug, 2017 Medicals Passed/NA2 - 17 Aug, 2017 No additional docs/FTD (I assume) - 24 Sept, 2017 IP2 - 19 Dec, 2017 PPR - 28 Dec, 2017
Yes we do have extensive travel history and I have also lived in the UK. Whether or not that’s a factor for LVO, I can’t say. All I know is that it’s been 210 days of constantly checking my profile and how I got through it, only God knows. The journey indeed is not for the faint hearted, especially this year that IRCC decided to show colour to PNP applicants, but when you’re no longer a spring chicken and age won’t let you get direct ITA, you take what God has blessed you with. The fact that I was even able to get ITA through PNP with my low 400 score was enough of a miracle. I have younger people who are still waiting so who am I to look at God’s gift to me and say it isn’t enough? At least, the goal of getting the children away from here is accomplished however long it took.
For my LVO family, please don’t despair as it will all end in praise. To those starting out, ask God for patience, lest you develop high blood pressure Let’s all remember that the race is not to the swift, neither is the battle to the strong, it’s all about time & chance and most of all, His grace!
This forum has been a wonderful companion through this journey. It’s been amazing to see the testimonies, the camaraderie as well as the digs . The testimony that stands out for me is Deeore’s. I remember when she posted her rejection, how she was encouraged and how she dusted herself up and reapplied. And God did it! As He has completed the work for those of us who received PPRs, so shall He do for those still awaiting IELTS, ECA, ITA and even POF completion in Jesus’ name.
Congratulations. I rejoice with you. May the caring Almighty God help me too move my family out of this land very soon.
mcstan18: If you graduated from UNN and you are having problems with sending/verification of transcript due to the ongoing strike action, kindly send me a PM.
elfmann: Pay application fee after AOR.. What an elucidation! Canadianfly, come and see oh. Kikikikiki.
@Elfmann, @Canadianfly and other well- experienced members: Please, I need some guidance on Work Experience issue.
1) I have about 10 years work experience but stopped working in May this year (2017) to start a business. However, this business is yet to see the light of the day due to change of plan and goal-setting (I.e. Immigration). In June 2017, I made Canada visit visa application to no avail. In that visa application, because I didn't want to appear jobless, I claimed to be a current worker with an employer who I did a 4-month contract work under in 2012 and obtained a Vacation Approval letter from the company for the visit visa application. In view of this, I listed the company as my current work experience history on the visit visa application but I diid not list the 4-month contract work. My question now is: In my Express Entry profile (pre-ITA or post-ITA) should I declare the 4-month contract work in the Personal History or leave it out so as to maintain consistency between my old visiting visa record and the proposed EE profile record?
2) I am feeling that since I already have a 10-year work experience that is verifiable which I have got valid supporting documents as prove to back it up, should I just leave out that employer name used for the visit visa application in June or I should list it among my work experience in EE profile so as not to appear us been currently jobless and to maintain consistency?
I am asking this question because to prove that I work with this employer means I will have to doctor so many things that I am afraid may be tedious and not as water-tight as the Truth.
3) Any implications if I declare I am currently jobless in the EE profile? Your sincere advice, please.
Kontagious: Allow me clear your doubts a little further. My wife has about 6 years work experience -all in Nigeria, which means zero points from spouse work experience- I answered No to spouse having work experience which also means no place holder was created for spouse work reference letter. Instead, I put the work experience under personal history. This is what most people here do to avoid the stress of requesting spouse reference letter that adds zero point to PAs CRS point.
Now, if you read my initial post, I mentioned I removed a work experience. Creating my EE profile, I had used three different companies. Got ITA and getting reference letter from the 3rd company became stories for another day. Had to remove that work experience post ITA, the other 2 companies gave me above 3 years experience, adding the 3rd initially wasn't necessary, hence removing it was inconsequential. Placeholder for reference letters subsequently reduced from 3 to 2.
If your spouse work experience is outside Canada, there is no point detailing it in work history. Though, we have seen few cases where spouse work experience that adds no point to overall CRS were requested but this cases are few out of many who have succeded without adding spouse work experience.
PS: Don't argue with elfmann, you'd soon get used to him. Guy na special case on hm own
elfmann: Kontagious answered u and u still dey argue.. Follow ur understanding or go to page 0.
I was not arguing or disputing with @Kontagious. I was only expantiating on the issue to you when you asked question: Are u talking abt accompanying spouse's work experience or the PA's?
@bbaby84: Many thanks for rescueing the innocent spouses. God bless you. If I may ask, just to be more convinced, can you please tell us if you know anyone who has heeded this your advice and scaled through to secure PPR?
bbaby84: In fact ehn I don't know what to say sef lol.
When we say read......
Please move her work history to personal history and click on no work history and stop disturbing yourself and that woman.
You don't get any points for spouse work history and it's not necessary. I moved all work experience to personal history post ITA and the place holder was removed. Please dont let that woman travel anywhere in the name of reference that you don't need.
elfmann: Are u talking abt accompanying spouse's work experience or the PA's?
Talking about accompanying spouse's work experience/reference letters: is this a requirement or not?
About PA's work experience/reference letters: will these be required for e-APR till PPR is secure or it is no more required and may be removed once ITA is given?
