i told some people once, that most road accidents on lagos roads are not caused by the roads but by the users of the roads. dem think say i don craze because of that. but think about it.
Politics / Re: They Wan Assasinate Oshiomole by mustafar1: 5:17pm On May 12, 2009
porka:

na wa o. oshiomhole shut down this same country several times in the last eight years for such reasons as petroleum tax (N1/litre). he is on the other side and is now whining. this latest assasination attempt is just a stunt to whip-up sentiments for his apparent lack of clue on what to do.

for instance, he's been battling nma and practically calls everyone all sorts of names for excercising their right to protect their union's interest, the same strike he embarked on more than 10 times just to be seen, someone says because of ordinary governor?. is it not ironic that oshiomhole wants us to believe edo has no money when states like gombe in the desert is building a whole airport? edo is a member of the elite niger delta state receiving "that special allocation" called 13% derivation for goodness sake. what do states like plateau, yobe etc do then?

na wa for naija guys self. we seem to not realize a demagogue when we see one. i was one of the many people praying for oshiomhole to win that election. i want to see how he pulls through, no pun intended, perhaps he'll serve as a reference point for nigeria "bad leadership" so called. now we can all see.

it's now witches and wizard trying to kill our "comrade guv". i think this is lame

KAI, if only people would see past sentiments and see things the way u do.

And where are those calling her our new found heroine, last week they were full of praise for her, blasting those of us that hold opposing opinion, that if she is a heroine, She would have gone the whole Hog, and told us what transpired, The same result that was rumoured she refused to accept was now later released, What A Fraud, Shame on Her, Shame on her Children, @ 74, damn, cant really blame those that have given up on nigeria

Kobojunkie:

Politics / Re: Enugu Government Is Turning Enugu Into A New Generation City by mustafar1: 6:50pm On May 01, 2009
Eziachi:

I am always giddy when people start singing praises of Nigerian politician, especially the so called educated and enlightened. When will you and many other moronic Nigerians ever learn that building roads, providing good drinking water is not an achievement to be boasting about in government, as those stuff are the basic need of which people pays their taxes. You don't need the brain of Chike Obi to know that modern life need good road, water, electricity to thrive.
How many governors in the States have you ever heared campaigning to repair road as a campaign promise as if that is not their job?
It's like congratulating a man for feeding his own child, as he should know that providing for your child is your job, hence doesn't need a part on the back for it.

If you're telling me now that your achieving governor has declared a free education for every child in his state and had sourced the funding for it with no dependency on the free monthly hand out from Abuja, I will now join the cue of praise singers now.
If you're telling us that Mr Chime has introduced free healthcare for Enugu state tax payers without extra tax burden, I will sing now until Jesus returns. If you tell me now that every single kobo now in his bank account both home and abroad are from his salary only, I will defy the internet and shake your hand now. If not just shut your gob and learn from history of even last year.

So You can't wait for Ukachukwu to take over in Anambra? that shows exactly your grande wisdom! isn't it.
The same Ukachukwu that changes his political party like most of us changes our underpant? Before 1999 Ukachukwu was in the Abacha must ruler forver party and when Abacha kicked the bucket he was in APP and BEFORE YOU CAN SAY GOOD MORNING he had jumped into the PDP, by 2003 he was romancing with UNPP, by 2004 he was back to the PDP family, before th 2007 OBJ wonders Ukachukwu joined ANPP and only few weeks ago, he rejoined PDP. That is the type of person you want to rule you soon.
I believe that Peter Obi, if he has spin doctors like your achieving governor, probabaly we will be singing about his road construction magic now too.
People like you will never learn, and if you're this myopic, I dare not comprehend about the not so lettered people.

probably a state of emergency declared in the state.  An interim has to sort things out.

And get some federal troops in

that would take 2 years to get. we are still waiting for the one promised.

Politics / Re: Why Do People Abuse Each Other On Nairaland by mustafar1: 12:10pm On Apr 28, 2009
some cant control their emotion so they are quick to rain abuses on whoever does not agree with them.
some feel like they are victims such their fight back mechanism is to rain abuses
some truthfully and honestly do not have anything to contribute. thus, once someone posts something that rubs them a bit. they get on the war path.
some really do not abuse but once in a while they respond to abuses directed at them just to get a kick out of it all.
some have already made up their opinion about certain people on here, or people from certain tribes/religion/geopolitical zone thus no matter what individual says, even if it makes the most sense. it is hard for that person to look past their preconceived opinion and just rain abuses as a way to shut him/her up.

theres more feel free to add urs, hopefully we wont derail this one thread with abuses
Politics / Re: Yar'dua Now A Changed Man? by mustafar1: 3:34am On Apr 28, 2009
he has changed. he has a formulated a 14 point agenda for his second term dream. he graduated from 7 to 14 using the 'the more the merrier' tactic, so he derived the 7 old + 7 new agenda formula.
