Well captured. The sad reality is that in Nigeria today, a lot of men are not “gainfully” employed and what they bring home can hardly cater for their families but they still need to go out daily to hustle, so for a woman there shouldn't also be a benchmark of income.
Simply because work that's ought to be done by men, it has been taken over by women.

I'll still advise women to be employed no matter how small, provided it can put something on the table pending when something big comes up. Instead of being totally dependent.
If both parties are busy working, who will take care of the home?

Taking care of home is more hectic for women, than the so called gainful employment for women

Once we are asked, what we should say is as many as our creator has destined for us to have
I think that is more appropriate /suitable than saying 6,7,8,.......

Three is fine, HIGHEST four ( and I don't even think it's reasonable).

What make you think that we are the one taking care of us!?
Look at the life of a chameleons and megapodes birds once it's mother delivered of it since that day it start fending on it self

Have you even seen during Bush burning you will see how mice, rats..... Running for safety but you will never see chameleons like that nor see its body (skeleton) after the bushing
The list goes......

I have 2 children, hubby and I agreed to keep it at that. Considering what we pay for their education, feeding, clothing and upkeep generally. If you have a standard you want for your children, trust me you won't breed anyhow. It is better you have the number you can conveniently cater for without taking them to family and friends, not even with the cases of child abuse and molestation making the headlines lately.

Says who?

A. PRODUCING population will take care of thier resources both human and material and convert them into good use. Jobs will be available both part time and full time. Most sectors will grow strong.
CONSUMER population don't do jack.

B.Most foreign company come to invest in Nigeria because;
1. We don't produce.
2. This is a dumping ground where there is no standards regulation.
3. Corruption thrives here. They can evade taxation.
4. The labour laws are weak.

We need to change our mindset.

I give up on this arguement brother. I'm tired.

You win.

In conclusion, we see that population has an important effect

Is our economy thriving? NO.

CONSUMER POPULATION IS different from PRODUCING POPULATION. Nigeria is more of the former and China the latter.

Either consuming or producing POPULATION the root is still population
Why is it most foreign companies do what to invest in Nigeria simply because of population,
The recent closure of border we all see how the neighborhood countries Re complaining simply because of our population, Relatively their economy depends on our population

how exactly does one know the number of children "the almighty creator has destined for them"?. A woman can get pregnant every two years she stays married. Should she continue bearing more in the name of letting the creator fend for them? Some of you just come out and say very stupid things Irresponsible parents everywhere undecided

I think sometimes we should also look at the perception of what we are writing, so as not to make people discredit our opinions using the word "some of you just come out and say very........." such statement is awful, there are other way we can present our opinions
Alas! from this one can deduce your demeanour

POPULATION CONTROL means u can encourage people to give birth when the population is low and discourage it when it is high.
We always choose to do nothing about our population.

Secondly the average birth rate is still 2 compared to 5 in Nigeria.

Any country that their economy is thriving Population is among the determining factor.
Why is both Kano and Lagos are center for business /commerce?
How many indigenous companies /industries do have head offices in Lagos./ Kano..... If not because of the population in those cities

Correction.
1. China economy thrive because they used their BRAINS AND HANDS.
They have a WORKING POPULATION because of proper planning.

2. They controlled thier POPULATION.
The same China had 1 man 1 child policy some years ago because they knew they had a population problem.

3. They obey LAW and ORDER.
Death sentence is the judgement for corruption

A law has repeal that of one man one child
In China now the government now beg people to bear child and get rewarded.
Because in any country where the population of dependant(age 1-10 and 55-above) is far greater than
Youth (working class /adult) such country will suffer.

These are the words of our fore fathers.
They left Nigeria to the Almighty but the Almighty already gave us BRAIN and HANDS which we fail to use.

I suspect you are a northerner.

No insults intended.

China economy thrive simply because of their population which is about 1.4-1.5 billion

First I think we should first know not we are not the one fending for our children is the Almighty creator.

Number(s) children is in the hand of our creator as many has he has destined for us.
Our president is number what!? among his father children, if his father has said he is only given birth to 2 children, Will our president be born by him and become the president today.

Lol, what's debating and what's exchanging ideas.

If one doesn't look for faults how then do we know what's true and what's false?

Perfection means "free from faults" and "completeness", as long as faults are found in your teachings and subjected to the 7th century practice then it's not perfect.

Nothing is perfect.
Religion of Islam is perfect and our creator Allah is perfect.
Nothing more nothing less.

I don't advocate for one wife one child however I am definitely against men jumping into polygamy like it is their birthright or advocating against birth control in the guise that it is against Allah's wishes or it shoes lack of faith and all other mumbo jumbo to make yourselves feel like you are better.

Could you please give more details /explain what you meant by "I am definitely against men jumping into polygamy like it is their birthright"

Yes, large families were because of need for labour and high mortality rate of children.

I hear you, I suspect you are among those advocating/gospeler for one - wife - one - child.
Is high time you changed your orientation about that,
May Allah guide us right

It does not signify weak understanding and faith. Allah gave us choice and freewill. There are several ways of increasing Iman, having plenty wives and children is but one of several numberous ways. The ideal is not a large family. There is no farm to go to anymore, child mortality rate is declining and cost of a quality life is far higher than before.

The mentality you are talking about is the one working on how to increase food production. How about you add to your faith and helping mankind by dedicating your life to that research?

Is it because of FARMING is the reason why one is having more than one wifes and children?

I never said one-wife-one-child is a sin. I'm saying liking it because it's the rave of the moment signifies weak understanding and faith. The ideal is a large family. If Allah blesses you with wealth, health and time you should have a large family( except for some valid reasons known only to you)

50% of your worship is in your family life. Its a great act and we should all aspire for it, not the other way. Islamentality not Colomentality
On point
But on that one - wife-one child " that if is what Allah has destined, not what we desire
