jamp: Jesus didnot call it catholic church, catholic means universal church ie the church founded by Jesus is universal. jamp: Point of correction, catholic church is not cult. It has been in exitence since d day of the apostles. Jesus said to peter the gates of hell will not prevail against the church. The gates of hell are all the criticism against the church, yet d church is still strong.

Professor Achebe is a respected academician in nigeria and outside our continent.His words are laws and he is one of the most respected elderstatemen in Nigeria.He is a complete epitome of hardwork and dedication.A role model.
This man has seen the beginning, the present and he is therefore relating us to the future of this great Nation.
The civil war started a long time and ended a long time ago.
As an elderstateman,Achebe should not ve apportioned blames because dwelling in the past does not,will not and can not move this nation forward.Our problem is not Awolowo,neither Ojukwu nor Gowon.Our leaders are the problems of Nigeria.Until every nigeria attest to this fact and decides to fight it, we will keep living in the past and dwelling on regrets.
PA Achebe using your position as a respected personality pls help Nigeria to move on, your new book has done no good but helped in building tribal/ethnic enemity and hatred.we don't need it anymore.we need to collectively move this Nation forward.

nagoma: Japan was defeated in the second world war after the dropping of 2 atom bombs on some of their largest cities, Germany was severely defeated and no city in the world not even iraq has taken the kind of destructive bombardment carried out by the allies on Dresden and other German cities. We are only talking about recent history , this has happened though out history . War is an adventure and could be a misadventure as it turned out to be for Ojukwu. Would they be talking like this if Ojukwu won the war? Gowon should just ignore these people whining and moaning about what they don't know. If they can't take a defeat gallantly like other lands why did they start the war?. War is not a football game please.
