The Ondo state police command is currently on the trail of a bitter ex-boyfriend, identified as Deji Adenuga a.k.a. Dakar, who allegedly set eight family members of his estranged girlfriend ablaze on Adetuwo street, Igbodigo town, in the Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State on Tuesday April 23rd. Deji was reportedly dating a girl named Titi for a while and she recently called their relationship off. Angry that she was leaving him, he went to the girl's family house and set the building ablaze. Five of the victims have so far died from the incident while three others are currently receiving treatment at the Trauma Centre, Ondo town, Ondo State. “What happened today (Tuesday) was shocking. The man (Adenuga) almost wiped out an entire family early this morning. He was angry because the girl (Titi) he was dating said she was no more interested in the relationship. In order to deal with the girl, he poured petrol in the room where all members of her family were sleeping and set them ablaze. “He actually missed his target because the girl was not in the room at the time he set the room ablaze. “Eight members of the family were severely burnt. Five of them have been confirmed dead, while the remaining three were rushed to the Trauma Centre, Ondo, where they are receiving treatment.” a source told Punch Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, Femi Joseph, said the police had begun investigation into the incident. “We are on the trail of the suspect, while investigation has commenced into the matter. We will soon arrest him,” Joseph said. https://www.everyvibes.com.ng/2019/04/Family-Got-Burn-In-Ondo-graphic-Photos.html

The spokesman of Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari's campaign team Festus Keyamo Mocks PDP, Buba Galadima "Where Is Atiku That Is Coming To Reclaim His Mandate" Sir, before the President swears on the Qur’an, just a quick reminder of the result in your polling unit in Yobe State: APC -750; PDP-2. Therefore, you need to explain your own personal irrelevance in your base in order to have the temerity to call for a ‘swearing ceremony’. ‘Atiku is coming’ reminds me of the victims of ‘419’ who some smart guys keep telling new stories after a ‘deal’ has collapsed & who keep falling for the new stories. And like real ‘magas’ they’ll even abuse you when you seek to help by telling them Atiku is not coming anywhere!https://www.everyvibes.com.ng/2019/04/Keyamo-Attacks-Galadima-Says-Buhari-Swear-With-The-Quran-That-He-Didnt-Rig-Election.html |
Baba Buhari... We are not losing hope.... |
The President has appealed to Nigerians not to lose hope of a brighter future for the country. In his Easter message to the nation, President Muhammadu Buhari was confident that Nigeria would overcome its challenges and become a great country. I rejoice with all Nigerians, especially our Christian brethren on the glorious occasion of the celebration of Easter 2019.https://www.everyvibes.com.ng/2019/04/dont-lose-hope-of-greater-nigeria-buhari-easter-message.html |

The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has appointed Muhammad Saidu as the new Commissioner of Finance in the state. The appointment was made public in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Samuel Aruwan. According to Aruwan, the position has been vacant since the resignation of the former finance commissioner, Suleiman Kwari, which took effect in January 2019. He explained that the role of Saidu would be to “restructure and reposition the Ministry of Finance within the shortest possible time for the challenges of the second term of the Nasir El-Rufai government.” Governor El-Rufai also appointed Mr Idris Nyam as the Accountant-General of the state. The former Accountant-General, Umar Waziri, has now become the Managing Director of the Kaduna Investment and Finance Company. Aruwan said Waziri would be assisted in the task by Mr Nyam who was the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, until his new appointment. He disclosed that the most senior director in the ministry would act as Permanent Secretary until further notice. Dr Salisu Suleiman, the Principal Private Secretary, was also directed to cover the duties of the Chief of Staff in the absence of Muhammad Saidu. The statement noted that all the new appointments would be effective immediately. https://www.everyvibes.com.ng/2019/04/Governor-El-rufai-Appoints-New-Finance-Commissioner-Accountant-general.html?m=1

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cautions the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, not to plunge the nation into a monumental crisis, by refusing to obey the Court of Appeal to release the election materials used for the conduct of the February 23, Presidential election. The party says INEC, by this action, is blatantly standing in the way of justice and working against the will of the people in their quest to salvage the nation and reclaim their stolen mandate at the tribunal. The continued refusal of INEC to release the electoral materials to the PDP and our legal team is completely provocative and shows that the commission is working in cahoots with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Buhari Presidency to frustrate the PDP, our candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and majority of Nigerians from retrieving our mandate at the tribunal. INEC and the APC are apprehensive that the materials, particularly the forms EC8D and EC40G covering the nation in addition to the report of the Smart Card Readers used in the Presidential election will show at the tribunal that the PDP and Atiku Abubakar clearly won the Presidential election. The PDP has been reliably informed of how the APC and some compromised top officials of INEC have been boasting that they will never allow these materials and documents to be released to the PDP legal team This is the reason the APC and INEC manufactured a groundless claim that the form EC8D, EC40G and the reports of the card readers were not specifically captured in the order of the court whereas the court was unequivocal in its order that all materials used for the election be made available to our legal team. For the avoidance of doubt, the Court of Appeal, among other orders, directed INEC to release and allow our legal team to “inspect, scan, forensically audit and make copies of forms EC4OA, EC8A, EC8AVP, EC8B, EC8C, EC8E and ALL OTHER ELECTORAL FORMS and materials including, but not limited to ballot papers and voters registers and materials used for the conduct of the presidential election, held across Nigeria on the 23rd of February, 2019, for the purpose of instituting and maintaining an election petition”. The refusal of INEC to release forms EC8D, EC40G and the reports of the card readers is therefore a deliberate and vicious disobedience to the orders of the court for which the management of INEC should be charged for contempt. The PDP calls on Nigerians to note that INEC, having rigged the election in favour of APC, is now seeking ways to frustrate our petition at the tribunal. We therefore charge INEC, having been exposed, to end its shenanigan and release these documents without further delay. https://www.everyvibes.com.ng/2019/04/PDP-Protests-Non-Release-Of-Electoral-Materials-By-INEC.html
