Buhari may not need a WAEC certificate to contest but once he swore to an affidavit or presented a form indicating that his qualifications include WAEC it becomes a different matter. Or has he withdrawn his WAEC claim?This is a matter of perjury and not whether he is qualified.

Festus Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress’ presidential campaign council has slammed critics for deriding the people of Zamfara State for voting President Muhammadu Buhari during the presidential election on February 23, 2019.‏

But some critics, in reacting to the development, faulted President Buhari’s victory by asking if Zamfara’s voter turnout was higher than Lagos or is banditry conducive to high voter turnout?

However, Keyamo, responded to the critics via his Twitter handle on Monday; saying “Those who’re deriding the people of Zamfara for voting PMB, despite security challenges, are not really shaming them; they’re rather shaming their own Presidential candidate who, in spite of these challenges, was never considered a trustworthy alternative to PMB by the Zamfara people”

Gov Ajimobi Mobilises Oyo APC Representatives To Vote Gbajabiamila For Speaker

The outgoing executive governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has asked the nine elected members of the House of Representatives from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, to support Femi Gbajabiamila (APC, Lagos) for speaker.

Ajimobi, who stated this on Sunday in a meeting with the lawmakers-elect in Ibadan, advised them to follow the decision of the APC leadership in determining the presiding officers of the incoming 9th Assembly.

“You should toe the party line by following the decision reached by the APC leadership in determining the leaders of the 9th Assembly.

“Hence, you should support the aspirations of Femi Gbajabiamila as the next Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives,” Ajimobi admonished the lawmakers.

Responding on behalf of the legislators, Akeem Adeyemi (APC, Oyo), who is also the APC Southwest Co-ordinator of Gbajabiamila Speakership Campaign Council, said his team was solidly behind the fourth-term Lagos lawmaker.

He pledged loyalty to the party’s decision, promising to “abide by its decision on the choice of Gbajabiamila as the Speaker of the 9th House.”

Nigerian music producer, Austynobeatz has narrated how he returned the sum of 4.5million naira which was mistakenly sent into his account.

According to Austynobeatz, he was first tempted to claim the money for himself as advised by friends, but later felt it could actually be a test from God.

“So apparently someone I didn’t know sent me 4.5million by mistake to my access account and I returned it back , At first I was wondering which of my clients would have sent money for a project without telling me, not until I got a notification, hmm this money doesn’t belong to me, Spoke to some friends majority said “ Guy God don send you natural wire transfer no dull your self “. That sounded exciting at this time of the year 4.5m. To cut the story short I returned the money back, I don’t even know if It was a test from God , All I know is there’s a reward for every good deeds. Sooner or Later I’ll find out.

The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar-Malami (SAN), has distanced himself from claims by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that he was working with Transportation Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, to void the result of the Rivers State governorship election.

Malami’s spokesman, Salihu Isah, described the claim as ridiculous, and warned that the AGF should not be linked with the local politics in Rivers State.

He said: “I am not aware of any such ridiculous plan. There is nothing like that, to my knowledge. We are in a democracy, and there are institutions with powers to void elections if the need arises. That is not part of the responsibilities of the Attorney-General of the Federation.

“So, they should not link him with such ridiculous claims. They should leave the AGF out of the local politics in Rivers State. There are better and more important issues to attract the attention of the minister.”

Indeed, Wike is the ideal governor in a 21st century Nigeria other Governors must borrow a leaf from, he was truly closer to his people more than anything. He is their heartbeat and they are his, the symbiotic relationship between him and his people surpasses that of the Shark and Remora in that he was always at their backs and calls like that good shepherd who watches over his good flock but resist the wolves amidst the flock. Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has dedicated his victory to the good people of the state, saying that he was overwhelmed by the total support and love they displayed during and after the General Elections.

He said: "I want to thank the people of Rivers State for showing the kind of love we have never seen before. I thank them for showing the kind of support we have never seen before.

He thanked PDP members for their show of courage, despite intimidation by security operatives who illegally wanted to change the will of Rivers people.

"Those who died not because they were criminals, but because they wanted to defend their votes. We dedicate this victory to God those who were killed .

"They protected our votes and they defended us. We pray God to grant their families the strength to bear the losses. We shall continue to support the families", he said.

He said that he will run an inclusive government, which will accommodate all shades of interest.

"We have no other state . You may have mansions elsewhere, but there is no place like home. We must come together and build our state.

"We must make the state move forward . We must not continue to de-market the state. I cannot stay beyond 2023, but Rivers State will continue to be. If you believe you are from Rivers State, end this now", he said.

Governor Wike extended a hand of fellowship to his opponents, saying that nobody won or lost, but Rivers people won.

He said the struggle to stop collation was so vicious that it continued till the end of the collation.

"We will not disappoint the PDP. We will not disappoint Rivers people. We shall continue to serve.

"If anybody does anything contrary as a member of the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, the blood of those who died will visit them. I will never betray PDP.

"They tried with their Federal Might, but the Superior Might from above defeated them", he said.

Governor Wike thanked INEC for working in line with the tenets of the electoral act. He thanked the Police, but berated the F-SARS.

An INEC office at Oriade Local Government Area in Osun state was attacked and burnt at about 3 AM on Sunday,

According to election officials, suspected hoodlums besieged the office, shooting at the Commission’s office and destroying parts of its property. Some of the items destroyed include ballot papers and boxes which were burnt and 2 generator sets.
