"More so, there is no community you won't find, at least, one of Governor Akeredolu's legacy projects. Aside his giant stride in road construction and fulfillment of election promises that have combined to nicknamed him Talk and Do, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN is workers friendly when it comes comes to workers welfare and promotions". He concluded.

Thus, we appeal to the people of Ondo State to join hands with the people friendly government so as to enjoy more benefits of democracy.

A group, The Pentagon Movement Group (PMG) has hailed the stand of the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN,on free,fair and credible primary elections for the emergence of candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the April 18, local government elections in the state.

The group commended the Governor for showing leadership by example in the areas of entrenching the core value of democracy despite the usual flagrant abuse of democratic process that has enveloped the country’s polity.

The coordinator of the group Afolabi Damilola, in a statement issued in Akure, the state capital and made available to newsmen said the state is lucky to have a man whose respect for democracy and the party constitution is unshakable.

The PMG hinted that Governor Akeredolu has also resisted all pressures from political players in Owo, his town, that the Governor should impose a candidate on the party.

According to the statement, the PMG disclosed that the three leading chairmanship candidate of the APC in Owo are the Governor’s boys, adding that the Governor has insisted on party primaries to allow the people decide.

Damilola said the group noted with surprise that a sitting Governor would still allow the primary process to go according to the dictates of the people when other Governor’s could have handpicked and write names from the Government house.

The group said”We are happy that this is happening in our own time as a people. Let it be known that there is always a choice on whether you want to serve the people or serve yourself

“Governor Akeredolu has again, shown to the whole world that he’s a leader. A kind of leader that respects the people. He refused to impose any candidate on his party. As a leader of the party in the state and a sitting Governor, he has all the opportunities to write names and give directives as he deemed fit

“But, the Governor has shown integrity again as he has directed that where leaders can not reach consensus candidate, there must be free, fair and credible primary elections.”

The group, however called on political leaders across the county to emulate the great gesture and quality that has been displayed by Arakunrin Akeredolu, saying it will go a long way to strengthen the nation’s democracy and restore the people’s confidence as key players of the process.

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, in a meeting with the Executive Director of Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) Mr. Olusegun Awolowo and the Management team of the Organization, held at the NEPC headquarters,Abuja,on Friday, February 7, 2020.

Discussions were held on Cocoa and Oil Palm as export products to earn more revenue for the State putting Ondo State on a comparative advantage in the South West.

If a leader like President Buhari needs to resign, there are millions of other Nigerians who need to resign, including Senator Abaribe who unlocked the door to enable the escape of traitorous and treasonable suspects.

He signed the bond for the court to release Nnamdi Kanu on bail, from which moment the suspect disappeared into the thin air. Senator Abaribe has failed repeated deadlines to return Kanu to the court for trial, yet he has the effrontery with which to accuse someone of failing to the bidding of the law.

This is a man who should have replaced the suspects he failed to produce in the correctional facility.

Abaribe’s party raped the nation and left it collapsing in 2015 and President Buhari is fixing things up all the years he is in office.

Malami Revokes Statement On Operation Amotekun, Claims He Was Misinterpreted By The Yorubas

The Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami today withdrew his earlier comment about the establishment of the Western Nigeria Security Outfit (Operation Amotekun) which he declared illegal.

Malami whose condemnation on the outfit codenamed Operation Amotekun has since caused uproar on social media claimed he was only misinterpreted by the Six southwest governors and the people of Western Nigeria.

He made this statement while speaking on “Politics Nationwide”, an interview programme on Radio Nigeria Network this morning said “I was misinterpreted on Operation Amotekun, I did not say it’s Illegal”.

“I said the Operation Amotekun should be properly backed by law, so if at the end of this Government, if the Operation has been backed by law, any Government that eventually succeeded this government will not rubbish the Operation”.

“I said if they failed to enact a law in support of Amotekun in the South West Region of Nigeria, another government can come and say it’s Illegal and this is because it is not backed by any law”.

“So, It just an advised to the State Governor’s to use their power and the State’s House of Assemblies in their various States to enact a law that will make the Operation more effective.” He said.

This statement gives a kind of reduction in the tension of the sustainability of this outfit, congratulations to southwest and Yoruba populace in general.

Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, on Wednesday morning commissioned a new branch of the Access Bank PLC in Owo.

The Governor said the infrastructural commitments of his administration were targeted at attracting private sector investments into the state.

Arakunrin Akeredolu assured the bank of productive business operations in the town but advised that the bank domesticates its products to the needs of the people to guarantee them quality patronage.

Governor Akeredolu equally joined in the call for productive engagements of qualified youths by the bank.

In his goodwill message, the Olowo of Owo , Oba Ajibade Ogunoye congratulated the governor and all sons and daughters of the town on the new attraction into the economic platform of the town.

The Royal Father advised the bank to buy into the town's major festival, Igogo, which Oba Ogunoye said was being repackaged for the purpose of attracting foreign tourists and investments

The bank's Executive Director, Mr Victor Etuokwu, who used the occasion to market some of the bank products assured all its prospective customers of excellent and rewarding relationships.

He said every of the bank's product has been designed to attract all categories of its customers at launching them to better lives through quality banking services.
