Subsidy Removal: Northern Region Support Tinubu/ Kashim, National Coordinator/ Convener Calls For Patience, Understanding.

National Coordinator/ Convener, Northern Region Support Tinubu/ Kashim, Hon Dahiru Hammandikko, has appealed to Nigerians to remain calm in the current pains and hardship caused by the removal of the oil subsidy by the President Bola Tinubu administration.

Hon Hammandikko, who was Deputy Director Contact and Mobilization North East PCC during the 2023 Campaign, made the appeal in a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists in Lagos on Thursday.

He explained that the hardship was much now because the decision taken by President Tinubu should have been carried out by successive administration, in the last 15 years.

He, nevertheless, assured that situations would soon improve and that Nigerians would laugh last.

Part of the statement read, "The removal of oil subsidy and the new exchange rate regime of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Gcfr for now, has led to inflationary pressure. This is causing some hardship on the part of the masses.

"As the saying goes, there is no gain without pains. Like the president has said that while trying to give birth, one must go through the pains of labour, however when the child is born, the safe birth will keep the mother happy.

"Her pain of a few hours would therefore lead to everlasting joy.

"Nigerians should see the economic reforms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from that perspective.

"If President Bola Tinubu has not taken those steps, it could have led to a complete crash of the Nigerian economy with it's attendant social, economic and political implications.

"The pains we are currently going through, will soon go and by this time next year by the grace of Almighty Allah, Nigerians would begin to see the results of the steps that the president has taken.

"The president is just about 60 days today in office. He still has over 46 more months to spend in his first term of 48 months, having spent just two.

"President Bola Tinubu is taking decisions that should have been taken over 15 years ago.

"Nigerians should give President Tinubu some time, to allow his policies to mature and for us to begin to see the positive effects.

An interview session between a National Press and Hon. Babajide Akin-Thomas, DG Coalition of Support Groups for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (COSGABAT) and member, Planning Committee APC Presidential Campaign was conducted as regards the 10th Assembly and the man who fits the post for Senate President.

Why do you want the 10th Assembly Leadership to go to the North West?


I believe that for us to be united in our Country Nigeria, since our party APC zoñed the Presidency to the Southern part of this country and by God's willing, we have won and we have the president-elect from Southern part of this country. For equity, fairness and justice. We must zone the Senate Presidency to the North, and if we look that the most populoce Zone in the north, it is North West, so, we must consider them to get the Senate President

Also one of the major factors in National Assembly leadership is the zoning of roles to reflect the diversity of the country, since the National Assembly is filled with Senators and Reps from all states in the country cutting across most tribes, the zoning arrangement usually come from the political party with the majority in the house and legislators usually follow this agreement to share principal offices.

So as the election for the senate president draws close, the APC must look within itself and remain steadfast to do the right thing for national unity in sharing these positions, they must consider competence, character, experience, contribution to the party and victory and the principle of Federal Character. These are all factors that will determine the president position.


What make you think that zoning the 10th Assembly Leadership to North West will the best decision?


For a united country like Nigeria, we don't need what will separate us. What is good for the goose Is good for the gander. I think zoning the leadership of this country to the Northern part will make us to be more united as a country.

This takes us to the senate president position, the North West, Nigeria’s most populated zone with the most states and voters contributed immensely to the APC victory in the Presidential election.

President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu polled 2,652,824 of his votes, some 31% from the North west region alone, more than any other zone, the North West will definitely make a strong claim for Senate president and they have experienced legislators to present to the party and the Senate.

What impact do think that zoning 10th Assembly Leadership to North West will bring to Nigeria?


I think for the incoming President to have a smooth runnings of Government, we must carry the North West region along and the only way to do that is by making one of them to be in the First three in Nigeria. Also, as a President that will really want a re-election, he should not push the North Westhern zone away so the opposition will not take advantage.


Do you have a special candidate from the north west and is that why you are campaigning for the leadership of the 10th assembly to the zone?

I really don't want us to think that way, I am only agitating for the unity of this Country. And I know for us to be more united as a country, we must share powers. So for that reason, I see that One of the experienced lawmakers that senator Barau Jibrin is the most experienced lawmaker and he is from the North West. I'm not saying he is the only person there but I think we are counting for experience and competence which is solid and it will be very good for the progress and unity of the country if the party leadership and the President elect provide immediate guidance and leadership in order of us to have a peaceful and effective 10th National Assembly.

You are campaigning Senator Barau Jibrin for the Senate Leadership what make him so special?


Senator Jibrin Barau is the most ranked Senator in the red chamber and he has handled alot of Committees and has delivered; like, Committee on appropriation, for somebody like that: he understand the intigrity of the so called, Executive and legislative harm of Government. With him as the Senate President, we will have a smooth runnings of Government in Nigeria.

It is also critical to the success of the incoming administration and while we are talking about the executive arm of the government, we must also look at the legislative arm and in doing this, we must look at the most competent hand amongst all the candidates that have shown interest to aspire for the office of the Senate Presidency.

“That is why I believe that most of the aspirants for the Senate Presidency know that there is no person as qualified as Senator Barau Jibrin. Why did I say so? This man started his political career in the national assembly in 1999. He started by joining the House of Representatives first, after building successful businesses and after also passing through extensive training programs in different endeavors in his career journey. He was in Kano State Civil Service, He chaired so many committees in the investment and property development in Kano State.

” He was once a Commissioner for Science and Technology in Kano State. He has B.Sc. in Accountancy.

“He did several training and certifications programs, including a Master’s degree in financial management and pricing, Master in Business Administration, and obtained a certificate in Financial Management for Business Decisions, from the Prestigious Cornell University, United States. And currently, he is the most ranking Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chairman, TET Fund, and also the Chairman of the Appropriation Committee.

He was part and parcel of the individuals that contributed to the successes recorded by the government of the APC. Because without proper appropriation, you can never get your policies and program to be driven right.

If you notice what happened in the 8th assembly, because of lack of proper team management and proper structure, especially around appropriation, we had a rancorous house. It was the 9th Assembly, that came and consolidated and brought order, and composure that tune in the programs of the APC government, and that enabled the successes we have recorded especially in the second term of President Muhammadu Buhari Administration. Every single investment that is done to better the lives of Nigerians will have to pass through the appropriation desk.

The Red Chamber has been more organized than it has ever been since 1999, because there has been proper structure of working relationship with the executive. And if we have this mature leadership that drives this success, why can’t we allow Senator Barau Jibrin to be able to drive the Office of the Senate President, so that we can be able to have a coordinated, organized and responsible government that meets the needs and yearnings of Nigerians.

That is why I believe that Senator Barau Jibrin is the most qualified. Consider his antecedents in public service and his activities in the Senate as the highest-ranking member.

When you go to the North West, where he comes from, that region through his rigorous political campaigns, the North West delivered the highest amount of vote for the APC much more than the South West which is the Zone of the APC president-elect.

The North-West gave 2.7 million votes, while the South-West brought 2 million votes. So when you compare that, you would realise that he succeeded in driving these successes why? Because Kano State contributed to over five hundred thousand of these votes, majority of these votes came from Barau Jibrin Senatorial districts. He is the only candidate in Kano State that was not swallowed by the Kwankwasiyya tsunami.

The measure of who emerges the President of the 10th Senate should be rated by their ingenuity, level of experience in the workings and the activities of the legislature, their track records in diverse spheres of human endeavors, and most importantly, their individual contributions to the emergence of our President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

When nobody believed in the movement Hon. James Abiodun Faleke was busy moving up & down, when others were purchasing nomination forms & looking for endorsement, Hon Faleke was everywhere silently wining delegates for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The boys who Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu turned into men were campaigning against him and some were skeptical about his victory.

Hon Faleke built Tinubu Support Group -TSG (TSG) Canvassing for BAT & gathering Support groups to one house under TSG when others were plotting behind Asiwaju Tinubu, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke was busy in Abuja purchasing the nomination form for Asiwaju, when the movement got shape a lot where lobbying to be among the PCC.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu traveled out to have some rest and perform lesser hajj, some trailed him there to lobby but Hon Hon. James Abiodun Faleke paid regular visits to Support groups at unity fountain defending the mandate by showing them support with his presenc, while various support groups held press conferences, news paper publications & writings calling for ABAT attention to consider Hon Faleke for the office of CoS, ABAT & for Nigeria, that ABAT has the best eyes in scouting the best hands, God will guide him to do it again in the interest of Nigeria & not himself.

Secondly, Hon Faleke said the position of CoS is very personal to the appointer & not open for public debate.

Hon Faleke said, Kindly let us join hands to pray for him to succeed and not to put him under pressure.
Our Country Nigeria will be placed on a very strong foundation by TInubu and we will recover from our backwardness.

These are my personal views and I am constrained to express them given the fact that one Ben Llewellyn-Jones, a misguided, mischievous and clearly unlettered Englander who does not know his place, threw away all caution and mentioned my name in his inglorious commentary.

Across the land, Bola Tinubu is fondly called Asiwaju— the Lagos title for a leader, it depicts his strong character.

Bola Tinubu is highly-talented in getting talents out of unexpected. Haven identified many talents to the development of Lagos and those talents, it was time to rally round him immediately he announced his ambition to plight the flag of the All Progressive Congress.

Few stood, many ran away and many betrayed his trust, one of those who betrayed was the man who was made the Speaker of the House of Representatives against all odds by Asiwaju.

A motley gang-up was initiated to scuttle his political ambition at all costs.


It was gathered that while others within the Lagos hierarchy of the All Progressive Congress were working towards emergence of Tinubu as the party candidate, in the primary election, the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila was equally working to end Tinubu’s dream.

An agreement was initiated to support the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan candidacy while he was promised to be returned as the Speaker of the House of Representatives while his close ally to be nominated by him will be given the Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF).

The man who announced a consensus candidate led this team of agreement.

Recall that the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Abdulahi Adamu had announced the Senate President as the consensus candidate at the eve of the Presidential primary of the party.

The presidential primary election of the APC, was the opportunity for Gbajabiamila and co-conspirators to show their hands and even after dancing naked in the public, they are still going around thumbing their chests and boasting that they are part of Asiwaju’s success; when, indeed, what they were after was to do incalculable damage to his benefactor’s aspiration.

The presumed reasons for the actions of Gbajabiamila and his men plainly offend sensibilities.

A great shame and pity of the infamy of his, is the attempt to consciously sacrificed the future of Yoruba and its people on the altar of his selfishness. In his inordinate desire to betray his benefactor and assume the new Leader.

Gbajabiamila despite his educational prowess look at governance from the narrow prism; and not from the broader point of view of selfless service to the community for sustainable development.

To him, Asiwaju was too old to be President and must leave the stage for them. This was the reason he insisted of returning to the House in 2023.Have you ask why a man that is a Speaker will go back to the house as ordinary member?


Bola Tinubu himself is acknowledged as the apostle of good governance, crusader for prudence in public administration and advocate of mass literacy, among others. The gang-up of Gbajabiamila and his ilk would have rightly shown that whom God has blessed no one can curse.

Gbaja should not reap where he did not sow. He conspired with the cabal to end Asiwaju's political ambition. Such a man should not come close to him again.

I make no apology for saying the following.

Lagos is NOT no-man's land. It belongs to the Yoruba. Other than winning the Presidency, the most important thing for the Yoruba to do today is to ensure that Babajide Sanwo-Olu is re-elected as Governor of Lagos state.

Outside of that we are finished as a race and as a people.

The Labour Party candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, whose mother and wife are Igbo and who is running a patently anti-Yoruba and pro-Igbo campaign, is one of those that burnt properties and buses during the Endsars riots.

He is also in bed with IPOB and is hell bent on imposing an unashamedly Igbo agenda on the people of Lagos state including removing all our Yoruba traditional rulers and imposing Igbo ones.

Would the Igbo allow any Yoruba man to do such a thing in the east?

Our liberalism and willingness to accommodate others has become our biggest albatross.

We gave them land, food and shelter and now they want to take everything from us and rule over us.

They have even infiltrated our Churches and introduced a brand of religious intolerance which is alien to us.

They want to deny us that which our forefathers built, fought and died for and they want to decimate our identity and redefine who we are!

Please take this very seriously and take note that it is beyond politics.

Dear Nigerians, this is Tunde Sabiu, the young man giving my Lagos landlord, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a sleepless night.

He is the head of the Cabal, which operates from Aso Rock, and he is the de facto Nigerian president.

Tunde is the nephew of our president who was named after the late Tunde Idiagbon, the former vice president during the first coming of Buhari.

Due to the recent exposure from the FG who indicated that the issues of new currency notes were mislead by the CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele. Earlier on today, a spokesman from the Aso Villa, Mr Ajuri Ngelale said the president was deceived by the CBN governor who lied the new currencies were available for dispensation.

Also today, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode took to his Twitter to confirm his previous allegations against the PDP and Godwin Emefiele conniving to disruption the country. Apparently he was somewhat right.

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, an insider source at the presidency has revealed that the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, and Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, are working with the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar.

According to the source, the CBN Governor is currently working with the PDP, and that the current scarcity of new naira notes was intentionally orchestrated by Emefiele on the orders to Atiku Abubakar to create an economic hardship which would in return turn Nigerians against the ruling party.

It was also gathered that the EFCC boss, Bawa, is also working with Atiku Abubakar, to frustrate Nigerians, leading them to think that the Buhari led administration is behind the current economy woes.

The source also revealed that the PDP have created a mobile application for vote -buying and that they have already generated a database of over 20 Million subscribers.

According to the source, the application is to enable the PDP launder money for the purpose of vote buying during the forth coming presidential election.
