Marry someone carrying foreign DNA? Not a chance! Do you know the King Cobra seeks and kills any pregnant female King cobra if he is not responsible for it?- humans may even have this reptilian adaptation that we have suppressed with our large brains. The instinct is repulsive. The poor unborn baby will start suffering from the womb. Better to wait till its born.

Please spend time researching. .
Apparently I know much more about clime change than you do. Try google-up and come up to me. Bicycles?!! Pleeeease. . you'll need to make laws to implement that!

Kobojunkie:
Actually, most methods to combat CLIMATE  CHANGE are just that simple. They are mostly INEXPENSIVE as well. One does not have to Spend thousands to implement most of them.
Will you stop beating about the bush and list some of them? Jettison that sit at home routine because it doesn't cut it.
Whether you are in the desert or in the south pole, the same methods cut across and will help.
Yeeeee! Hate to say this but that was ignorantly dumb. Try planting trees in the desert and see how that helps.
CLIMATE Change is NOT about location.
Haaaa! You goofed again. It is about location. Think global, act LOCAL.
Do you realize how many years and millions went into convincing folks here. .
Ah haa, millions! Thanks for admiting. NEXT!!
If you want to tackle climate change in Cleveland, you have cheap methods available to you. Most of the same CHEAP methods available to you should you be in Lagos.
What are you saying? Like I can rent a hot air balloon in Cleveland and do the same in Lagos? If Fash tries it now, you'll scream.
ELECTRIC CARS DO NOT help reduce EMISSIONS as much as so many other cheap measures out there can.
Stop dwelling on electric cars. The crux is about cheaper and readily accepted methods.

I did list a couple. .
oh ok. They all seemed to talk about bikes and not going to work. Got better ones?
So since, you think I am in cleveland means I know little of global emissions. .
Your opinion but yes, you won't know how combating clime change here would be as opposed to Bone thug country.
So, because ignorant folks chose to laugh at him is reason why OPTING for expensive and NON EMISSION reducing methods is the right way to go?
your opinion again. But yes again since ignorant folks are making it harder for such methods to be accepted.
. . but you are here making excuses for why people should not be encouraged to even try?
Try what? Something stressful to achieve something abstract? Listen to that.
Millions in America have changed. I am one of them. Most major cities now have bike paths and major roads come with bike lanes.
Good for you. We don't even have car paths here in Lagos. Stick to Cleveland dude.
Now, your argument sort of sounds like this -- "People will not ride bikes so the alternatives is to buy them ELECTRIC CARS at about $40,000 a pop, and then invest an additional $10,000 into charging each car, NOT TO help REDUCE EMISSIONS".
Yeah, its called paying for not taking action.

Kobojunkie:
NOt all methods to combat GLOBAL WARMING are expensive. Subscribing to the EXPENSIVE options is mostly based on choice.

Moving to have people consider riding bicycles to stores and for small errands will go a long way in helping, and is relatively cheaper than adopting ridiculously expensive measures that do not necessarily reduce emissions in anyway. Even encouraging yard sales of items no longer used to those who need them, and recycling will go a long way to helping combat . . .
Pls list your cheap methods and lets see. You probably have been living in Cleveland for too long. Here in Lagos, just last month, I saw a guy on roller skates on the streets and while I was thinking oh cool, I saw people were laughing at him. Is it here in Lagos where even females can't ride motorcycles without receiving curious stares that you want them to ride bikes? What happened to that Minister that wanted to sway opinions on bikes? - they laughed at him. Face it, people didn't change when they heard riding bikes can increase their life expectancy now how do you expect them to change for global warming( something that seems more abstract to many). Pleeeease.

Very well said. But it really doesn't matter, lagos state is getting electric cars, all they're spiting is nothing but internet opinion.

The same folks cried and shed crock tears about the BRT system like they really give a damn about lagos state to begin with.

Are they not still crying over the New airport in Lekki?

Tell me, what is the common features of these detractors? they are the usual ethnic jingoists, to them, nothing good must come from that part of the country that's not theirs. They're just not man enough to admit it. But we know.

Yes I said it,
Couldn't agree more with that ethnic jingoism theory.

I wasnt gona reply dat dude,
How will you reply when you've got nothing to say. Just leave it to your tag-team partner.
We havent even stopped flaring gas in 2009!!! and some peeps are yacking on about some crazily expensive electric cars?? undecided
. . in one dark alley one night and get robbed and killed, or while trying to negotiate in the flooded craters we have on our roads after a typical rainy day, . . .
Have you finished? You still don't get the point- do you? The issue here is GLOBAL WARMING- so stop your GLOBAL WHINING. All countries that want to combat it do it out of concern for the future as there are no immediate gains. All methods to combat it are expensive so why bother you'll think. Only a responsible govt cares about the future. You can condemn it based on priorities but is staying alive not a priority. After our uninterrupted power arrives cant 'Hurricane Kazzam' come and take everything away and leave us at square one?

Ok, I read your response there and I have to wonder if you are serious here. . Fighting GLOBAL EMISSIONS does not have not be expensive. It costs about as much sometimes, even more sometimes,to power Electric cars, both energy wise and moneywise,. .VOLT and most of the other cars we have now claiming to be GREEN are mainly for moving from oil to another power source, cost of production of the alternative not necessarily cheaper.

Those in the villages riding their bikes will do 1000 X more to help fight global emissions, compared to those riding an 30 minutes a day in ELECTRIC cars.
I see! So you think all d insult given to d earth can be reversed while maintaining our high tech standards with 10 kobo equipments? NO! Even during my NYSC a guy bought a bicycle and he knows what he faced till he changed to a motorbike. You cannot list 10 ways of combating clime change that wont be expensive- even tree planting is. If you think we'll go back to the days of the horse-drawn carriage- think again! Here's another slogan of mine, it might help shape the future of this argument: 'GOING GREEN COSTS A LOT OF GREEN!' Chew on that.

How much of global warming do you think we can fight by spending all our money on electric cars? only stupid people will think like this. . . As I said before our vehicular emissions are not even SIGNIFICANT in the grand scheme of global warming as compared to the industrialized nations.
Yeeeeeeeeeeeee!! And I thought you were smart. Have you heard of this slogan: Think global, act local!? Of course you haven't. Anyway you will understand it when your child comes home one day and says: Daddy, the strong winds blew our classroom's top off yesterday and our teacher says our parents should come to school tomorrow to plant trees to counter future occurrences. He'll then say: Daddy, think global, act local- thats after asking you for the meaning of counter. Watch out!

You are not making sense at all. Our major concern now as a THIRD WORLD COUNTRY, is reducing hunger,. . Basically engaging reasonable projects.
Too much adrenaline can make you myopic- pun intended. I guess you closed your eyes while reading what I wrote. I said the worrisome trend is that Lagos in an un-industralized Nigeria is in the fore-front of fighting global warming. Your adrenaline soaked smart sense-making brain should've told you that I recognise that as a mis-match. Even China is doing little to combat climate change so why should we bother. How much sense have you and the poster made on this issue? I for one know there can be no meaningful change for the better without constant power but you can argue that combating clime change is almost as important as it can be a matter of life and death. Is it Fash that will give power to the whole of Nigeria? He is acting because of the Mega-city status of Lagos( thats one thing you fail to realise). So if he chooses to bring electric cars as Taxis or whatever then protest by not boarding them.
Business › Re: Lagos To Introduce Electric Vehicles In 2010[in A Blackout Nation] by MUZBO(m): 6:10pm On Oct 23, 2009
Poster, all u should consider really is the concept behind the need for d electric cars- to combat climate change! No one said that will be cheap. The melting polar ice and extreme weather will not wait for anyone. The only disturbing fact is that Lagos a part of this unindustralized Nigeria is in the fore-front to combat clime change but it is soothing that Gov Fash's effort is being honoured. So poster though I'd have suggested they encourage hybrids first but its still all good. If you think because we lack constant power then we dont need electric cars then pls throw your fridge away because its pretty much the same thing and so you dont need it.

Thats a fallacy of 'little evil in devil's land becomes good'. Black women only express themselves less and so their little faithfulness is not adequately exaggerated like the whites.

That way he'd have helped 50,000 real people.

My candid advice is if you can't get all your money at once then don't try to collect your money back. Phemmy was right when he said these people will play a fast one and use your money for deals. Your only mistake is paying everything at once. The car being 94 is illegal and so all his I need this and that cannot be disputed. All you can do now is pray it doesn't stretch from 5 weeks to 5 months. Except you want to go to Cotonou yourself. Take it easy sha!
