Biodun556: There are wrong popular opinions that Niger election was rigged. Are you telling me election was rigged during general election, when the two leading candidates could not secure 50% there was rerun. Are you telling me the election was rigged again,?
Bassoum won the rerun for the second time. mind you, Bassoum was a first timer, he defeated the incumbent twice in an election. The military junters that overthrow him were appointees of the immediate past government who spent two term of 10 years in office and was going for third term against Niger constitution.
The coup is as results of ethnicity. The immediate past president was Hausa who are about 45% of the population, apparently other ethnic groups in Niger teamed up against them in the last election that brought Bassoum. The Hausas were not satisfied with outcome of the election they plotted coup in 2021 before Bassoum was about to be sworn in, the coup failed, this coup is the second against Bassoum. Una don finally carry ethnic madness to Niger. The coup is not about election but incompetence, doing the interest of France to the detriment of national interest |

MEEVEET: The biggest factor of war is the people... If the moral of the people are high ,patriotic and the countries military is popular with the people there is nothing u can do
Not even USA and Russia combined can defeat Niger if the people are willing to defend their land....
Millions would die, they would be overwhelmed temporary but they would always come back
Vietnam and Afghanistan are prime example It's only in Nigeria that people are easily divided with tribalism. All through this coup issues nobody in Niger cares about the ethnicities of the president or the new military ruler but down here in Nigeria agbados are busy shouting "Igbo Igbo" whenever Tinubu ecounters resistance in his aggression against Niger |
