Politics › Re: Which Ethnic Group Is The 4th Largest In Nigeria? by MXrep: 3:55pm On Oct 10, 2016
vodutive:
Rotimi Amaexhi was named after Rotimi Williams, because his father wanted him to read law, he said so himself in an interveiw. Everything in context please, the fact that your name is John does not mean you are an Oyinbo man. A man can call his child anything he wants, More important in this instance is his surname. There are also many names that are spelt differently. Sola..shola, Sheun v Seun. Gbemiga v gbenga. If you say Akpata has an alternative meaning please come and tell us the meaning in whatever tribe you think it belongs to. I put it to you that whatever State Akpata is from, the meaning of his name in his local dialect is the same as the yoruba meaning.

As far as his nomination, you and I know, people play politics with these things, we see it all the time for political gain. Saying Akpata is not a yoruba man when it comes to political appointment is like when they said Tinubu is not from Lagos or Ambode is not from Lagos, politicians do this all the time. They even said Abacha is not a Nigerian, that he is from Chad. We either want to deliberate facts or we want to be hostage to sentiments and political propaganda. We are dealing in historical facts here, Akpata is a yoruba family name, it means he has Yoruba heritage. If you ever hear the Ijebus speak the proper language you will not understand a thing they say and swear they aren't speaking yoruba, yet they are yorubas. if you suddenly carve out Ijebu state, Ijebus don't suddenly stop being yorubas. Also many parts currently called south south were once part of the WEstern region.
The problem with the yoruba claim of being in delta state is lack of geographical contiguity with Main yoruba land. In that case, it can be inferred that they are migrants, the case for edo is understandable

Mordsith, question for you.
Are you Ukwuani?
Ukwuani speaking Isoko man?

We can move on from here.

And mind you, the more you post about Tonyebalkanizer, the more popular you make him.

He is too irrelevant to be given these praises (however it sounds).

Make more relevant post like

"How is Iyede related to the Igbo's (from The Ukwuani region)"
of course, the low life use igbo to seek cheap popularity, ijaws cant give him such. let him enjoy our benevolence in making him popular, Omenka was popular too, where is he?? Let them come and upgrade the low self with igbo given popularity

I am Ijaw and only CONCERNED with Ijaw.

OP is 100% Igbo. YOU CAN'T be an Igbo and Isoko at the same time. Or is Isoko a Local Government?

Isooo people are Urhobo leaning, it is COMPLETELY different from Ukwani.

Be proud of your Igbo heritage
so there are igbos in Niger delta?? tell me something, are you more niger delta than the igbos in niger delta?? if yes then carve them out and return them

My question is How do people know that the guy is really Hausa by tribe, is it because he speaks the language which off cause a lot of people understand and speak because they were born in the northern part of the country. Or maybe because he wears dresses like Hausa which off cause is worn by all irrespective of the tribe or religion of the person.
do u think he is a passerbyhuh, he lives in the community and they know him well

Under this new administration, contracts and agreements for 12 new power plants have already been signed.

4000MW Mambilla power project Jona abandoned is back on track

The Transmission grid your jona neglected is getting upgraded..

Same way GEJ lied and didn't build the 2nd NB that PMB is now going to build

You can even attribute the air I breath to jona, it makes no difference simply because Nigerians saw that useless and incompetent stealing is not corruption supervisor of looting and stealing and end up kicking him out and his never coming back so you people really need to stop bothering us with your silly GEJ rubbish.

Hate, anger and bitterness is not good for your health..

US, Swiss firms kick-off solar, hotel projects in Enugu, Abia

A United States-based renewable energy firm, Motir DuSable Power Investment Limited, has sited its $200 million solar project in Enugu State to generate 300 megawatts into the national grid.

In the first phase of the project, the firm is to generate 100 megawatts of solar energy which will subsequently be increased to 200 in the second phase.

Similarly, Swiss Hotels International has formally taken over the management of the moribund multi-million naira Enyimba Hotels, Aba in Abia State. When fully operational, about 3,000 jobs will be generated by the hotel.

The drivers of the Enugu project, which is a joint venture between two US-based power firms, have signed an agreement with the Federal Government to site the project in Enugu State with the goal of making the state the hub for renewable energy generation in sub-Saharan Africa.

The Chairman of the firm, Mr Emmanuel Irono, yesterday made a presentation of the company’s planned take-off of the project during a performance review retreat of the Enugu State Executive Council with Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in attendance.

According to Irono, “We have a joint venture that would enable us to bring this project to Nigeria and we are licensed and have gone through all the processes and procedure in terms of the power purchasing.

“Also, we have an alliance that can help us go through the various segments necessary for this project to be successful.”

While declaring the retreat open, Governor Ifeanfi Ugwuanyi commended the development partners for their successful contribution towards the actualisation of his administration’s reform agenda.
